How Naira Marley Demanded My Removal From Song We Featured In – Skales Reveals

Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, the popular Nigerian singer, who is famously known as Skales, has talked about his colleague, Naira Marley,

He recounted how Naira Marley asked that his (Skales) verse be removed from a song by a Tanzanian artist, Harmonize featuring both of them.

Skales said he was shocked when Harmonize called to inform him about Naira Marley’s position because there was no beef between them.

He said he was the one who took the Tanzanian artist to Naira Marley’s house to record the song.

The ‘Shake Body’ crooner disclosed this while appearing on the latest episode of the Doyin’s Corner audiovisual podcast.

He said, “I want to share a story that I still find crazy, you know. I have never said this before, but this is going to be my first time. So I have this brother from Tanzania, he is one of the biggest artists from East Africa, as a matter of fact, Africa. His name is Harmonize.

“So he was working on his album, he came to Nigeria. I remember I took him to Naira Marley’s house. It was all good vibes and everything. The song he did with Naira Marley, he hit me up and said I want you to give me a verse on this song. And I did it. I sent it to him. It was dope. He was like, I like it blablabla. Then weeks later, he called me and said, ‘Do you have a beef with Naira Marley?’ And I was like, ‘Beef? We were all chilling. What is going on?’

“He was like, ‘Naira Marley just called me and told me to take your verse off the song that he didn’t know I was going to be the artist involved.’ I was like, cool mehn, bro you need this thing to happen so take me off it.”

Niger Republic: Nigeria Not Pushover, Shouldn’t Be Afraid To Use Military – Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri, the popular Nigerian social critic, has explained that Nigeria is not a pushover or should be afraid of using its military-industrial complex to advance the cause of democracy and the rule of law in Niger Republic, even as Nigerians fervently and consistently pray against war.

According to Omokri, Nigeria has a vested interest in what happens in Niger Republic, the way Russia has a vested interest in what happens in Ukraine and America in Cuba.

In a tweet, the social critic boasted that Nigeria’s defence budget is larger than every other ECOWAS state combined.

He added that Nigeria intervening to reestablish the rule of law in Niger might be better than building a wall.

He wrote, “Nigeria’s defence budget is larger than the defence budgets of every other ECOWAS state combined. Our military personnel are more than the military of all fourteen other ECOWAS nations combined. ECOWAS has a combined annual Gross Domestic Product of $760 billion. Nigeria generates almost $500 billion of that amount or 63%.

“So, while we fervently, strenuously, and consistently pray against war, that does not mean Nigeria should be a pushover, or be afraid of using its military-industrial complex to advance the cause of democracy and the rule of law. We have a vested interest in what happens in the next-door Niger Republic, the way Russia has a vested interest in what happens in Ukraine and America in Cuba.

“Gone are the days when President Obama would destabilise Libya and then hand off and leave Nigeria to bear the consequences in the form of Boko Haram, which were essentially a spillover effect of the Libyan crisis.

“Political instability in the Sahel will not be the direct burden of France, NATO or Russia. Libya and Chad, which share a border with Niger, are somewhat in a crisis. Algeria is dead set against opening its borders to non-Arab, and non-Amazigh persons. Mali is facing hydra-headed issues, including a power struggle, an Islamist insurgency, and a population growth rate higher than her GDP growth rate.

“Therefore, if there is political and economic instability in Niger, the influx of refugees and migrants will naturally be to Nigeria.

“And that is why it is in Nigeria’s interests to reestablish the rule of law in Niger. Either that or we build a Trump-style wall between us and them.

“Singapore is perhaps the least mineral-resourced nation on Earth. Yet, she has the world’s strongest passport, according to the Henley Index, and one of the highest per capita incomes in the world at almost $90,000. And the reason is that Singapore has an unassailable commitment to the rule of law.

“The above means intervening to reestablish the rule of law in Niger might be the better option than building a wall.

“And for those who are thinking that this is a Western imperialist action, please give Nigeria some credit. We have come of age. We know our right from our left. And we can pursue our own agenda and asset our own interests. And Russia is not the saviour here. Neither is the US or NATO. Nigeria is the Black saviour!”

BBNaija All Stars: Big Brother’s Parrot Exposed Ike’s Secret To Housemates

Ike Onyema, the BBNaija All Star participant, has been exposed by an in-house parrot.

Ike was exposed by the parrot who revealed his secret discussion about pimping Venita and other female co-reality stars for rich boys at parties.

The parrot had during the normal daily routines of the house, acted strangely by speaking out loud the words of an housemate, Ike.

The parrot then continued to impersonate Ike Onyema’s prior private chat, in which he freely admitted to arranging connections between BBNaija females and wealthy individuals for social occasions.

Ike’s direct comment stunned his fellow housemates, sparking a flurry of debate and bringing a new layer of drama to the ongoing BBNaija reality program.

The housemates were taken aback when the parrot uncannily mimicked Ike’s remarks about planning parties for his acquaintances and arranging for BBNaija female participants to attend these events.

“I make money from PR, we organize parties and these boys call me to arrange big Brother babes for them.

“Venita knows how many times I have called her. I make the most money when I give BBNaija girls to ballers including Venita.”

The inclusion of Venita Akpofure’s name in his statement fuelled the debate even more, implying a direct link between her and Ike’s acts.

The housemates are still unsure whose statement the parrot mimicked.

Brymo’s ‘Unguarded’ Comments Indicate Struggle Of Women In Industry – Adekunle Gold

Adekunle Gold, the popular Nigerian singer, has addressed his colleague, Brymo’s ‘offensive’ statement about his wife a couple of days ago.

Gold addressed Brymo’s statement while touching on the hardship women encounter in the entertainment industry as well as other sectors of the economy.

Amid the promotional tour of his recently released fifth album, ‘Tequila Ever After’, Adekunle Gold made a guest appearance at Cool FM where he was asked to remark over the issue involving his wife and Brymo’s ‘unsolicited’ statement.

Speaking, AG Baby indicated Brymo’s comments and ‘desire’ were absolutely senseless and biased.

He suggested the incident was a perfect example of the many struggles women have to contend with not just in the industry but across all spheres of life; confirming all the claims made by his wife and other women on social media on the stated subject matter.

The “Ogaranya” songster said: “I’m as confused as you but I’m going to say one thing. I know for a fact that it’s a lot harder for women in the industry.

“I feel like they have to do extra, extra work to get attention; you know?! And it’s not talked about often but when people speak about it, they bash them.

“Every time Simi talks about the hardship of being a woman in the industry, I see the outrage on Twitter. Not just Simi, people talk about it, women generally.

“And I’m here to tell you guys that it’s hard. Like it starts from s3x for grade, things like that. Not even in the industry basically, it’s just everywhere.

“You want to take advantage of women and stuff, I would never subscribe to that. I think it’s total bias. And yeah, it’s really hard. I see the struggle every day.

“You want to make music and then you have to be involved s3xually with the person, it makes no sense to me”, AG baby stated, totally condemning Brymo’s confession where he claimed he craved to have s3xual experience with the females he collaborated with at the time.

Wrapping up, the Def Jam Recordings act said: “I want women to be left alone, let them thrive; please!

Last month, Adekunle Gold warned his colleague, Brymo against disrespecting his wife, Simi and family following his unsolicited exposé about her.

In his response to a tweep who suggested that AG baby should have featured him in his anticipated album, Brymo claimed he once asked for s3x from Simi when she requested for collaboration.

One Maskill tweeted: “Brymo suppose dey ur album.”

But the ‘Ara’ crooner, reacting to Maskill recommendation of featuring on AG baby’s upcoming album, ‘Tequila Ever After,’ claimed Adekunle Gold and his wife, Simi, had reached out to him for features, but he turned down their request.

He said he declined to work with Simi in particular because she refused to “get intimate” with him claiming he didn’t know she and Adekunle ‘were together:.

He revealed it all sprang from his desire to have s3xual experience with the females he collaborated with.

Why Osinbanjo Was Absent At APC Caucus Meeting — Aide

Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, has talked about why his principal was absent at the caucus meeting of the All Progressives Congress on Wednesday.

He said Osinbajo was absent from the meeting because he was out of Nigeria for some engagements to which he had long been committed.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Akande, however, reaffirmed Osinbajo’s commitment to the party.

He said: “In a letter of apology for his absence addressed to the Acting Chairman of the party (Abubakar Kyari), the former VP explained that he was already abroad for engagements to which he had long been committed, when he received the invitation to the meeting,” the statement partly read.

“He had in fact cancelled some of his engagements abroad to be available for the two previously scheduled caucus meetings of the party which had to be postponed due to exigencies.

“While wishing the party fruitful deliberations, he expressed his commitment to the Party and his availability for future meetings and activities of the party.”

Also absent from the meeting was former President, Muhammadu Buhari.

The former president through his spokesman, Garba Shehu, however, explained he was unable to attend the meeting due to commitments he earlier made.

The APC caucus meeting is a prelude to Thursday’s National Executive Committee meeting where the perennial crisis rocking the party, the nomination of former Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, and Spokesperson for the ninth Senate, Senator Ajibola Basiru, are expected to be on the front burner.
