Love Fades Without Money – Actress, Charity Nnaji Says

Charity Nnaji, a popular Nigerian actress, has explained that her love for a man is influenced by money.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, she said, “Money is my major priority. Even if I don’t love the person and he has money, I would start loving the person with time.

“However, if the person does not have money, I would start hating the person with time. The love will fade.”

On women who are described as beggarly because they depend on men to take care of their needs, she said, “I don’t understand why a man would just walk up to a lady like that. Does the man think the lady just woke up one day and became beautiful? Someone went out of his way to buy those things that made her look beautiful. If the man feels that he can get to her without contributing to her needs, how does that sound?

“Even the Bible says that God so loved the world and gave out His son. God did not receive but He gave. That means that if one loves another, that person must give. The only way to prove love is by giving. If someone says he loves me and he cannot give me money, that love is questionable.”

On if she can accept advances from a fan, she said, “The manner of approach is what I consider when it comes to advances from fans. If any fan introduces himself properly, I may choose to give him my contact (number). If I am not convinced, then there is no point. We can just exchange pleasantries and go our different ways.”

Recalling the weirdest thing she had done in a relationship, she said, “I once travelled from Abuja to Nasarawa State to visit my boyfriend who had an accident. I was 15 years old then and still in secondary school. His village was very far, and it was an adventure for me. It was the first time I saw some wild animals. However, I am grown now, and can’t do such again.”

I Go Through Depression To Make An Album, Says Ajebutter22

Akitoye Balogun, the rapper better known as Ajebutter22, has made a new revelation about himself

He says he usually goes through “depression” to make an album.

In January, Ajebutter22 unveiled his highly anticipated 15-track album titled ‘Soundtrack to the Good Life.’

In the latest episode of #WithChude, hosted by Chude Jideonwo, the media personality, the rapper spoke on his struggles with releasing the album.

Ajebutter22 said he had a lot of “self-doubt” but decided to release the project as an “opportunity to escape.”

“EP is less pressure, it is a freeing experience, you just have fun and make the music. For me, an album feels like pressure, for me to make an album I must go through depression,” he said.

“There is self-doubt, ‘is this good enough?’. There is so much overthinking. But all that doesn’t matter, because, for all the questions you ask yourself, you will still not know the answer.

“The best thing to do is release it, it is better to fail fast, if you are going to fail, you are going to fail. I am trying to give us an opportunity to escape. It is an opportunity to japa.

“But you don’t have to physically japa, you can do it in your mind. The album is the ‘Soundtrack to the Goodlife’ from Butter Nation. Butter Nation is not just my fan base, it is a place I invented.”

The alternative music star also revealed how he overcame the temptation to switch to a different music genre.

“I have other options; I didn’t think that music was the end. I went to look for job, although I was still making music. But then, what worked for me in music, was me and my own style,” he said.

“So, I won’t go and try something else. As a musician, you will always go back to what works for you. If the first time I made a hit there were 20 people in the room, anytime I am recording I will want 20 people in the room.

“So, I just went back to what worked for me. Even at the time when music wasn’t working, I was looking for jobs, I applied to Oando, Total, I even failed a personality test.”

The Lagos-based rapper also spoke about how he maintains a peaceful mentality while living in the city.

“I have deliberately designed my life to be like that because I can afford to, when I couldn’t afford to it was first a mental state,” he said.

“My last album was called ‘What happens in Lagos’, the album before that was called, ‘Anytime Soon’, as per when I blow. All the energy I take I just pour into the music. Everybody in Nigeria has an escape.

“Some people’s escape is to be loud and aggressive, and some people are to be chill, it’s all about the personality, but everybody has their way to escape. At this stage I am now, I have tried very much to control my environment.”

BBNaija’s TBoss Pens Note To Self As She Turns 39

Ex-BBNaija housemate, TBoss has penned a note to herself as she turned 39.

The mum of one gratitude to God for being alive and prayed to be a great mother to her daughter.

She Wrote;

”The 1st thing I did the moment I opened my eyes this morning was Thank God for life and then pray to be not just at a Good Mum but to be a Great Mum to my Daughter because she deserves it and more.

I haven’t really been feeling like myself lately- too many emotions running all over the place, birthdays are becoming weird for me,
tooo many disappointments from friends & trusted associates that I think it’s just made me disconnect from Everything & Everyone.

And I’m trying to bring myself back, snap outta my funk cos I feel it’s affecting my relationships but it’s hard- Trust me when I tell you that people are going through soooo much behind closed doors that they don’t speak about, are ashamed to speak about so Kindness truly goes a long way to making them feel like there’s still some atom of humanity in this otherwise inhumane world.

And then I remembered to pray for myself😆

I really need to stop doing this cos I can only Give my Best when I am at my Best.

So yeah Today’s my Birthday and it’s Amazing to see how far I’ve come and how much my priorities have changed, I didn’t even get to do no photo shoots like TBoss’ would have😆 I mean I had done 9 a couple of years ago and posted up a completely new and totally dope shoot every day from the 1st till the 9th of March but heyyy This is Me now and I just want to say thank you and I love you so much yo the people who have been blowing up my phone all morning and sent me tons of messages amongst other show of love😉. May God bless us All😘

In Everything Give thanks and so Today join me in Thanking God for All that He’s done and All that He’s about to do 🙏🏽

#GratefulHeart❤️

#Thisis39🥳 🎂”
