The 8th edition of the Africa Magic viewers choice award was held in grand style on 14th May 2022 at Eko Hotel and suites, Vicotira Island Lagos, Nigeria. Several movie stars graced the award show from all over Africa as they came together for the biggest movies award in the continent.
The award show was anchored by Ik Osakioduwa and Bonang Matheba.
Mavin star Rema and Legendary Lagbaja surprised the fans when they showed up on th sage together to thrill the guests with a great performance.

Burna Boy announced his new album titled Love Damini will be out on his birthday July 2 and he also performed one of the songs on the highly anticipated project.
Akin Alabi brought back the event that happened in London, which he has repeatedly talked about online exactly 8 years after it happened and he made sure he was at the same spot the Arsenal legend snubbed him.
He tweeted ; This morning, I had breakfast at Landmark Hotel, Marylebone, London. I sat at the same spot where Thierry Henry snubbed me in 2014. It’s now 8 years since that incident. Happy anniversary to me.
The former Governor of Ekiti State,revealed he will appoint a minister of Stomach infrastructure if he is elected as the next President of Nigeria.
Mr Ayo Fayose was talking with journalist after appearing before People’s democratic Party Presidential Screening in Abuja where he was part of the 17 aspirants who were screened on Friday.
The former governor said that when the committee asked him about his stomach infrastructure policy while he was governor of Ekiti State, he made it very clear that it would be part of his policies if he emerged president.
“I made it clear that I will have a minister for stomach infrastructure and welfare of the people, So, for me, stomach infrastructure is part of being supportive of the ordinary Nigerian. Stomach infrastructure under my watch as president of Nigeria will be a major theme. No one is saying here that you will not do the needful in terms of developing the country, part of development is the welfare and well-being of the people.”
The Lagos State Government has cleared five students ( Favour Benjamin aged 16, Micheal Kashamu 15, Edward Begue 16, Ansel Temile 14 and Kenneth Inyang 15)and five employees of Dowen College accused of complicity in the death of 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni.
The state cleared them as well as the school following the Legal Advice of the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, Ms. Adetutu Oshinusi.
According to the legal advice addressed to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID and the trial magistrate, Magistrate Olatunbosun Adeola, the interim and final autopsy reports issued by the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital and toxicology report of post mortem samples and that of the Central Hospital, Warri were in agreement as to the cause of death namely: Septicaemia, Lobar Pneumonia with Acute Pyelonephritis, Pyomyositis of the right ankle and Acute Bacteria Pneumonia due to severe Sepsis.
The legal advice added that the result of the toxicology is also not indicative of any toxic or poisonous substance in the body of the deceased as claimed by the family.
”From available facts in the duplicate case file, the investigation carried out by the Police did not reveal that any secret society name, tattoo or insignia of any unlawful society was found in the possession of any of the suspects during the investigation carried out by the Police. To hold otherwise would amount to sniffing for an offence and a speculative act which is not permitted in law. It is trite law that suspicion no matter how grave cannot be a ground for conviction”.
The state also cleared the minors of belonging to unlawful society due to insufficient facts to establish the offence.
The two Nollywood actresses took to instagram to confirm their long time beef has been squashed, after the intervention of veteran actor Olaiya Igwe and Lagos State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo.
