BBNaija S10: Tracy Emerges 2nd Female Interim Head Of House

Tracy has emerged as the interim Head of House (HoH) for the third week of the Big Brother Naija ‘Ten Over Ten’ edition.

Following the live eviction show, Big Brother gathered all the housemates in the arena for the Head of House game.

The housemates were instructed to complete a three-stage challenge within a set time frame.

Denari, Kaybobo, Mensan, Tracy, and Jason Jae all outperformed the others and moved on to the final round.

To determine the winner, the five housemates were challenged to balance three balls on a flat surface using one hand, with Tracy emerging victorious.

However, due to a new twist, she will need to defend her title in a special Head of House challenger match on Monday.

If a fellow housemate performs better than her, she stands to lose her spot.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the show organisers wrote, “Tracy becomes the second female hoh this season and chooses Kulture to be her condo partner.”

The tenth season of Big Brother Naija began with a two-day launch event, during which the female housemates were introduced first on July 26.

The male contestants joined the show on July 27, bringing the total number of housemates to 29.

This year’s winner will receive an impressive prize of N150 million, the largest grand prize in the show’s history since it first aired in 2006.

Danboskid and Ibifubara were the first housemates to be evicted from season 10 of the show.

Trump Vows To Push Homeless People Out Of US Capital

US President, Donald Trump on Sunday, August 10 vowed to crack down on Washington, DC’s challenges, promising to remove homeless people from the capital and swiftly jail criminals.


“The homeless have to move out, immediately. We will give you places to stay, but far from the Capital,” he continued. “The criminals, you don’t have to move out. We’re going to put you in jail where you belong. It’s all going to happen very fast, just like the Border. This will be easier — be prepared! There will be no ‘Mr. Nice Guy.’”

Trump indicated more details will follow in a news conference Monday.

His comments came after the recent assault of former Department of Government Efficiency staffer Edward Coristine, also known as “Big Balls.” Coristine, 19, now working at the Social Security Administration, was attacked by about 10 juveniles near DuPont Circle while trying to stop an apparent carjacking. Two suspects have been arrested, and a $10,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the others.

Last week, Trump announced plans to deploy federal law enforcement across DC to address crime.

Like other major US cities, DC faces widespread homeless encampments. Governed by the 1973 Home Rule Act, the city has a unique relationship with the federal government, and some Republicans have suggested a federal takeover to address crime.

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser said the city will work with federal law enforcement, noting, “He’s interested in being in neighborhoods, fighting crime in neighborhoods. We are not experiencing a crime spike.”

Despite disagreements, Bowser has sought to maintain ties with Trump, meeting with him last year and privately expressing shared goals of making DC safer and cleaner.

According to the DC Metropolitan Police Department, violent crime is down 26% from last year, homicides are down 12%, and overall crime is down 7%. However, DC still ranks among the highest in homicide rates nationwide, placing fourth in 2023.

White House deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller described DC as “more violent than Baghdad” and parts of other dangerous regions, though comparative data remains unclear.

Though it was only a sneak peek, fans flooded the internet with praise for the newlywed mother, commending her elegance and the protective gesture toward her child’s privacy.

2027: “I see Jonathan back in Aso Rock as President” – Prophet Serimoedumu

The General Overseer of Mount Zion Divine Gospel Ministry Inc., Prophet Bomadi Serimoedumu, has predicted the possible return of former President Goodluck Jonathan to Aso Rock in 2027, saying Jonathan will win if he decides to run and will usher in a period of prosperity and joy for the nation.

During a church service at the Paradise City Zion headquarters in Bomadi, Delta State, Serimoedumu, who is revered by followers as the “Field Marshall of the Prophetic” and “Secret Revealer of the Niger Delta,” said he had a spiritual vision where Jonathan emerged victorious under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) banner.

In his prophecy, the prophet described seeing the PDP flag flying high with Jonathan leading it, symbolizing his success.

He also predicted that Jonathan’s leadership would bring about four years of economic growth and widespread happiness across Nigeria.

“I see President Goodluck Jonathan in Aso Rock leading this country again. If he chooses to run in 2027, he will return as President. There will be prosperity, and the people will rejoice,” Serimoedumu said.

The cleric also recounted a spiritual experience linked to the 2023 elections, where he claimed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima appeared to him in a vision.

In this vision, Tinubu promised to serve only one term and sought Serimoedumu’s prophetic endorsement.

“I saw Tinubu seated on a chair with Shettima on the floor beside him. Tinubu asked for my support, promising to run only one term. However, Shettima seemed unhappy about the one-term plan,” the prophet revealed.

He described these visions as “awe-inspiring secret things” and reaffirmed his role as the “Secret Revealer of the Niger Delta.”

This prophecy fuels ongoing speculation about the 2027 presidential race, particularly regarding whether Jonathan will attempt a return to power after his first tenure from 2010 to 2015.

OAU student goes missing for 5 days after leaving hostel to buy food

The management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, has raised alarm after a female student, Dorcas Oseghale, mysteriously went missing and has not been seen for five days.

Dorcas, a chemistry student with matriculation number CHM/2021/165, was last seen on the evening of August 6, 2025, at around 8 p.m.

She reportedly left her hostel at Adesanmi House, Ibadan Road, Ile-Ife, to buy food near the students’ village along Ede Road but never returned.

According to the university’s Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Olarewaju, her roommate made several attempts to contact her but discovered that both of Dorcas’ phone lines were unreachable

In a statement released on Sunday, Olarewaju said:

“The student, Dorcas Oseghale, of the Department of Chemistry with Matric number: CHM/2021/165, was last seen on the evening of 6th of August, 2025 at about 8 pm.
“When Dorcas, who resides at Adesanmi House, Ibadan Road, Ile – Ife, said that she was going out to buy food in front of the students’ village, along Ede Road axis of the university, did not return on time, her roommate then made several attempts to reach her on phone but surprisingly discovered that her two lines were not reachable.”

Following the disappearance, the university’s Security Unit began monitoring student social media platforms for any information related to the missing student.

“But around 6:10 pm on the same day, a group of students from the Department of Chemistry, in search of the missing student, alongside a female student (Akinkuade Omobolanle Beatrice), from the Department of Agricultural Extension, identified as her roommate, reported a case of a missing student at the Security Unit of the University,” Olarewaju added.

Due to the complexity of the case and limited resources, the university deployed three security personnel to lead the search efforts and to report preliminary findings to the police.

Vice Chancellor Professor Simeon Bamire commended the students for their prompt action in reporting the case and appealed to law enforcement and security agencies to intensify efforts to locate Dorcas.

He urged anyone with useful information to report to the nearest police station or the university’s Security Unit to assist in the search.

Peter Obi can be trusted to serve one term — Middle Belt Forum

The Middle Belt Forum (MBF) has expressed confidence in the integrity of former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, affirming that he can be trusted to honour his promise to serve only a single term if elected president in 2027.

MBF National President, Dr. Bitrus Pogu, remarked while reacting to Obi’s recent pledge to serve just one four-year term if given the mandate.

According to Pogu, the Middle Belt has no reason to doubt the former Anambra State governor, given his track record of keeping to his promises.

He stressed that Obi’s assurance was not a political gimmick to win over the region, but a commitment rooted in honour and integrity.

“We believe Peter Obi is a man of honour and we believe that if he gets the win and he promises or promised something, he will keep to it.

“But like I have always said, we are where we are because we are not yet a nation. That is why several factors have continued to hold us back from attaining the dreams of our founding fathers,” he said.

The MBF president, however, pointed out that ideally, the number of terms a leader serves should be determined by the constitution and the electorate, rather than sectional interests. Nonetheless, he maintained that the Middle Belt stands by its trust in Obi’s word, describing him as a leader who keeps his commitments.

“But that issue is for the future. For now, as a people, we believe Peter Obi because we know he is a man of integrity and honour who keeps his words,” Pogu added.

Delap, Joao Pedro strike as Chelsea thrash Milan 4-1 in pre-season finale

Chelsea wrapped up their pre-season with a 4-1 win over AC Milan at Stamford Bridge to claim the VisitMalta Weekender trophy.

The Blues took the lead after just five minutes when Andrei Coubis turned the ball into his own net.

Joao Pedro quickly doubled the advantage, continuing his strong start since joining the club.

The Brazilian now has a total of five goals in five games for the Blues.

Liam Delap extended Chelsea’s lead from the penalty spot just past the hour mark before Youssouf Fofana pulled one back for Milan.

In stoppage time, Delap struck again to complete his brace and seal a convincing win for Enzo Maresca’s side ahead of new season opener against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
