Ed Sheeran revealed he is on the remix of Fireboy DML’s Peru which is currently banging in Ghanaian and Nigerian clubs according to him.

The award wining English songwriter and singer was speaking on how he got to work with Fireboy DML on Apple music 1 Rocket hour with Elton John.

Fireboy DML shared a video 5 days ago which hinted a remix is coming featuring an unknown Uk artiste on the 24th December, before Ed sheeran confirmed it.

“He said, “Fireboy DML would love you on the remix of this song.” And I’ve just found it really intriguing. So I recorded a verse for it… and it’s a song that’s blowing up in Nigeria and Ghana at the moment and their club scene runs over Christmas. “So you basically put a song to the club in the middle of December, which would seem a weird thing to do in England. But yeah, so I’ve done the remix for this song, but this is the original and it’s just, it’s an earworm, and it’s addictive, and I’m obsessed with it. I mean, Cherry will tell you, I’ve had this song on repeat constantly in the house for the last week.“

Buju and Maleek Berry have hit covers for Peru and alot of Nigerian artistes have recorded and shared their versions online since the song dropped in July.

Federal Government set to ban UK,Canada and Saudi Arabia airlines from entering Nigeria in response to Covid-19 Omicron travel ban

The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika revealed the federal government will make sure countries like UK, Saudi Arabia and Canada that put Nigeria on the Covid-19 Omicron variant redlist will be restricted from travelling into the country.

The minister also apologised to Nigerians who have been affected by the travel ban and noted the decision of the FG to reciprocate the ban is in the interest of the country.

he said;

“There is also the case of Saudi Arabia that put Nigeria on the ban list. On Sunday, I participated in a meeting with the COVID-19 task force,” NAN quoted the minister as saying.
We have given our input that it is not acceptable by us, and we recommended that those Canada, the UK, Saudi Arabia, and Argentina also be put on the red list.
As they did to us if they do not allow our citizens into their countries; who are they coming, as airlines, to pick from our country?
They are not supposed to come in. I am very sure in the next three days; Monday or Tuesday, all those countries will be put on the red list of COVID-19.”

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed they have sacked the German in a publication released by the general secretary of the federation Mohammed Sanusi on Sunday.

Former Super Eagles captain and coach Augustin Eguavoen has been appointed immediately as interim with Okocha and Kanu set to support the team in technical and ambassadorial roles.

The statement reads ;

“The Nigeria Football Federation has appointed Mr Augustine Eguavoen, currently its Technical Director, as the Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles on an interim basis. This is with immediate effect, and follows the termination of the relationship with Franco-German Gernot Rohr, who has been in charge of the three–time African champions for the past 64 months, and is Nigeria’s longest–serving manager.
“Following a virtual meeting of the NFF Executive Committee on Sunday, it was decided that Eguavoen will work with Salisu Yusuf (Chief Coach); Paul Aigbogun (Assistant Coach); Joseph Yobo (Assistant Coach); Dr Terry Eguaoje (Assistant Coach) and Aloysius Agu (Goalkeeper Trainer). Former Nigeria captains Augustine ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu and Garba Lawal have been appointed to provide technical and ambassadorial support for the crew.
“The relationship between the Nigeria Football Federation and Mr Rohr has come to an end. We thank him for his services to the Super Eagles and Nigeria.
“We also want to thank the federal ministry of youth and sports for their collaboration and guidance all through.”

Gernot Rohr was appointed by NFF in August 2016 and he led the Super Eagles to a third place finish at the 2019 African Nations cup

Big Wiz revealed he has been working on it for years and the album is not a different sound abut its more matured than what he used to make.

He said, “I felt it coming. I would say I’m lying if I didn’t feel it coming because it took me three years to work on that album. So I felt like there was going to be a shift, but I didn’t know how it would come. Because I knew that it was kind of like a different… it wasn’t a different sound, but it was a more matured sound from what I used to make. From when I was way young, man. I called my first album ‘Superstar.’ How confident can you be? So yeah. I was born to do this sh**, man.”

The international airline company released a statement less than a week after getting an all clear from the government to resume operations, they have decided to suspend operations in the country due to unfavorable conditions set and importantly they will be allowing UAE and Nigerian authorities sort things before coming back.

the statement reads;

“With the recently imposed directive limiting Emirates to operate one flight per week to Nigeria via Abuja, Emirates will be suspending its flights between Nigeria and Dubai from 13 December 2021, until the UAE and Nigerian authorities work on a solution to the ongoing issue. The last flights to operate on 12 December 2021are EK 783/784 to/from Lagos and EK 785/786 to/from Abuja. Customers holding tickets with the final destinations Lagos and Abuja will not be accepted at the point of origin. Affected customers do not need to call us immediately for rebooking. Customers can simply hold on to their Emirates ticket and when flights resume, get in touch with their travel agent or booking office to make new travel plans. Emirates regrets any inconvenience caused. Emirates is committed to its operations in Nigeria, and we stand ready to reinstate services once restrictions are lifted by the Nigerian authorities, ensuring travelers have more choice and access to trade and tourism opportunities in Dubai and beyond to our network of over 120 destinations.”

Jurors have found former Empire star Jussie Smollet guilty on 5 of 6 charges he faced in connection to allegations that he staged a racist and anti-gay attack on himself 3 years ago in Chicago.

It took over 9 hours spread over 2 days for the Jury to reach a verdict. According to experts Smollet is expected to be placed on probation and ordered to perform community service but the disorderly conduct charge is a class 4 felony that carries up to 3years sentence.
