Why upcoming artist don’t blow after featuring Wizkid – Geh Geh

Financial expert, Geh Geh explains why upcoming artists don’t get famous after they feature the Grammy award-winning singer, Wizkid.

Geh Geh stated that when artists who are trying to make it in the music industry feature Wizkid, they might not become famous.

He opined that the reason is because Wizkid is too famous that the whole spotlight would be on him and little to no attention would be paid to the upcoming artist.

According to him, upcoming artist shouldn’t be featuring Wizkid for this reason.

His words …

“How many upcoming artists wey don feature Wizkid wey blow? People dey talk say if them feature Wizkid for song De song no dey blow or the artist no dey blow. No be because Wizkid no get talent but because Wizkid glory too get talent. Wizkid glory dey outshine the upcoming artists. If you feature Wizkid for song, nobody go even know say you dey the song. Na Wizkid go carry all the glory…if you feature Wizkid for song you no go fit blow. Upcoming artist no suppose dey feature Wizkid for song. Nobody go know you na Wizkid go carry all the glory…”

Nigerian Singer, Skales Shows Off New Woman 2 Years After Calling His Estranged Wife A “Devil”

Popular Nigerian singer Skales seems to have ended his marriage and moved on to a new relationship.

The singer took to Instagram today, August 23, to show off a new woman, a model known as Shauney Monae.

Skales called the model his “favourite song and guiding light”. He added that he loves the way she loves.

The singer shared a photo of him and Shauney on her birthday and he expressed how he feels about her.

His post reads partly: “The way you love, the way you care, the way you teach me how to live.

“So here’s to you, the one I adore, my heart, my muse, my greatest friend.”

This comes two years after Skales called his wife Precious Raoul a “devil” after she went on social media to mourn his mother.

The singer and model Precious got married in September 2021. In September 2022, on their one year wedding anniversary, Skales celebrated Precious and said the marriage had been a blessing to him.

He wrote at the time: “Ever since this day last year, my joy has known no bounds… This marriage has been a blessing to me. Happy anniversary to the love of my life.”

He added: “As I celebrate my first wedding anniversary with my darling wife, I’ve decided to share with you all actual footages from one of the most memorable days of my life.”

However, two months later, Skales publicly called out Precious in November 2022, just one year after they got married and while she was heavily pregnant with their daughter.

Skales released a diss song slamming Precious for making a post in honor of his mother after she passed. He claimed Precious could have extended his mother’s life but she refused to care for his mother. He added that he never knew he was marrying the devil.

However, months later, in March 2023, the month they welcomed their daughter, he apologised to Precious for his words and celebrated her on her birthday.

He wrote at the time: “Happy birthday my Queen @her_sanity11, I truly love, respect and care for you & I promise to do better! Cheers to most amazing year yet.”

It now appears he and Precious are done for good.

Nigerian Singer, Made Kuti Reacts As Man Criticises Him For Marrying Igbo Woman

Afrobeat singer Made Kuti, the grandson of the legendary Fela Kuti, has responded to the backlash surrounding his marriage to Inedoye Onyenso.

Recall that Kuti tied the knot with Inedoye Onyenso at a civil wedding ceremony in Lagos in November 2023.

Their marriage has been subjected to criticisms by bigots who accused them of “mixing blood” due to their different ethnic backgrounds.

Reacting to a recent post by an X user, @AdemolaOgudu, who called him a “foolish Yoruba man” for marrying an Igbo woman, Kuti stated that “believing ethnic superiority/inferiority is justifiable is slave mentality.”

He urged his critics to enlighten themselves with “history and knowledge left” by Pan-Africanists like his great-grandmother Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, his grandfather Fela Kuti, Kwame Nkrumah, and Thomas Sankara.

He explained that Africa would gain more when united.

How Do We Get Better If People Are Not Ready To Criticize Us? – Nollywood Actor, Gabriel Afolayan

Nollywood actor Gabriel Afolayan has emphasized that criticism is essential for the growth and improvement of the film industry.

The thespian made this known during an interview with Punch.

He said, “Criticism is needed. How do we get better if people are not ready to talk about what we are doing? Both the audience and filmmakers have to come together.”

Afolayan also stated that Nollywood is ready for every genre of movie production, including action films.

He said, “Nollywood is ready for everything. Trust me, we just need to keep serving. You don’t know how intelligent people are until you create something that will blow their minds. Even if you believe you’ve made a great film, until an audience watches it and decides whether it’s good or not, nothing else really matters. I feel our audience is ready for everything we have to give them.”

The thespian also praised the sharpness of Nigerian viewers across all backgrounds, saying, “The taste buds of Nigerians when it comes to different movie genres are very sharp.

“You see people in the medical field analysing films as if they were part of the production. Ordinary people dissect movies, and you’ll be amazed. You know why? Because we make these films for them.

“A film doesn’t belong to the filmmaker; they are just instruments the universe uses to put it together. And because they love the film, they’ll put money in your pocket as a filmmaker.

“But even after you release a film, you won’t make anything from it until the audience says it is good enough.”
