“If you want trouble, it is my work” – Falz to Verydarkman

Nigerian rapper, Falz breaks his silence regarding the defamation case he filed against social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM).

The case stems from allegations VDM made, claiming that Falz and his father, renowned human rights lawyer Femi Falana (SAN), helped popular crossdresser Bobrisky drop money laundering charges.

During a recent episode of the Afrobeats Podcast, Falz detailed his conversation with Verydarkman after the latter posted the viral video containing the defamatory claims. Falz explained that despite his attempts to calmly address the issue, VDM was defensive from the start.

“This guy was instantly defensive from the beginning; I’m like bro, try and listen. What are you instantly fighting about? And he said to me, without mincing words, ‘shebi you’re a lawyer; go to court,’”Falz recounted.

Falz also revealed that he had the option to pursue criminal charges for defamation but chose not to. “I’ll have you know that there’s a criminal angle to defamation, and I chose not to go that way. He could have very well been arrested. What you’ve posted is a load of bollocks, absolutely false, and I need you to take it down and offer an apology within a certain amount of time, and what did he do? Nothing.”

The rapper expressed his frustration, not only over the false claims but also over the disrespect directed at his father, Femi Falana, a lawyer known for advocating for the oppressed.

“I no dey find trouble Baba, I dey my dey. You set your ring light and begin dey talk all this nonsense about me, and you expect me to sit down? He trampled on everything my father stood for, sticking out his neck for the oppressed. So this level of disrespect? See our people say that any child who says his mother would not sleep, he himself would not sleep,” Falz said passionately.

“If you say you want to find trouble, trouble is my work. If you say that’s what you’re looking for, let’s go,” he added.

Return The Money to Don Jazzy – Man Orders VeryDarkMan

The Chief Press Secretary to the immediate past Kogi State Deputy Governor, Promise Emmanuel aka Kogi Rebel has lashed out at social critic, Very Dark Man.
He labeled him a hypocrite for accepting the N100 million music executive, DonJazzy, weeks after insulting and ridiculing the music executive for donating money to Bobrisky.
In a post shared on his Facebook page, Emmanuel wondered why VDM would accept money from a person who he insulted a few weeks back for sending money to cross-dresser, Bobrisky while he was in prison.
Kogi Rebel wrote:
‘’The man who lost total respect for Don Jazzy for sending BobRisky Money whilst he was in jail has collected a whopping sum of 100m from the same person he lost respect for without returning the money.

They say integrity,  I say it is subjective. I think for the right price or hue, people do the things they accuse others of doing. We all want the same thing in different ways, finding ways to justify our own actions in society.
They say it is charity.  It is more like thieves who take money from innocents and go to church to pay tithes or offerings. It’s like politicians who loot the treasury then sprinkle some good deeds here and there to be exonerated.

Nigerians will always shift the goal post because we are mostly a people divided by multiplural identity.

How can you take money for charity from someone you think is moral reprehensible for your tolerance?

VDM should kindly return the money to Don Jazzy. The same way he came through when he sought donation is the same way Bob asked for his help when he was in jail. Only a dumb person would think Bob told Don “Give me money to rent a 2 bedroom Duplex in Jail”.”
In a seperate post, he wrote
‘’Don Jazzy is free to send VerydarkMan money because he will use it to do giveway for Nigerians.

But Don Jazzy cannot send Bob Risky money if he reaches out to him for help. A member of the entertainment community o.

How do some of you even think? Except your brains have been kept at Kuje prison, you’re the only one appropriating contexts because you’ve made a mortal god.

Disappointment no extend reach money?

The very idiotic netizens who think they can select who anyone helps with their own money because of their own moral prism is nauseating.

If VDM doesn’t return Don’s money to extend is unparalleled Disappointment for helping Bob when he reached out to him as a member of the entertainment community,  then he is a hypocrite. He is only angry that the assistance went to Bob instead of him.

Today we don hear “bros” towards Don.

Money dey change tunes. Money dictates tunes o. All Don’s sin with Bob has been washed away. A pardon of Disappointment has been lifted because 100m inside NGO account no be small shekels.

Oya, insult me!”

N15m EFCC Bribery: Bobrisky Must Appear Before Reps – VeryDarkMan

Social media activist, Martins Ortse aka VeryDarkMan has stated that popular crossdresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky, must appear before the House of Representative.
He made the statement on Friday while reacting to the latest video by Bobrisky cautioning Nigerians against fighting their helpers on Instagram.
VeryDarkMan said the crossdresser has no reason not to appear before the committee because the footage has shown that he’s okay.
Posting on Instagram, VDM as he’s also referred to, said the House of Representatives committee conducting the hearing had summoned all parties involved in the matter on October 21, Monday.
Recently, VDM had released an audio of Bobrisky claiming to have allegedly bribed EFCC officials with the sum of N15 million.
During his conversation, Bobrisky also claimed not to have spent his six-month jail term in Kirikiri prison due to the influence of his godfather.
The revelation led to an investigative hearing by the House of Representatives, but Bobrisky failed to appear before the committee.
However, VeryDarkMan said: “In response to this video from Bobrisky, Nigerians can all see that he’s okay and we have all been invited again on October 21 to appear before the House of Representatives for further continuation of the investigative hearing.

“You must present yourself on Monday because we now know that you are okay and not what he was saying during the last hearing that he was ill.

“On Monday, we will know what really happened because people think the matter is dead, but I’m pushing harder to ensure that my lawyer, Adeyanju gets a date which we now have. So, on Monday Nigerians should expect one or two things in the House of Reps committee.”

Court Orders VeryDarkMan to Pay Falanas N500m

The Lagos State High Court has ordered controversial social media critic Martin Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan to pay lawyer and human rights activist Femi Falana (SAN) and his son, Folarin N500m.
This is according to a report by Punch. The court also ordered him to immediately remove all defamatory videos against Falana and his son.
The report added that the court also ordered him to pay the substantial sum of N500 million to Femi Falana and his son, Folarin, as compensation for libel, as detailed in the pre-action bundle of the judgment.
This ruling comes as part of a legal response to the allegations made by Otse, which were deemed harmful to the reputations of both Falana and his son.
The judgement was delivered by Justice M. O. Dawodu in suit no: ID/8584/GCM/2024 on Tuesday
According to him, the publications made by VeryDarkMan on his social media accounts on September 24, 2024, linking Bobrisky to Falz and his father were defamatory and injurious to their public image.
Dawodu stated, “According to the applicants (Falz and Falana), the defendant (VeryDarkMan) knew these statements (Bobrisky’s claims) were false and untrue but proceeded to publish them to injure their reputation.

“Furthermore, the defamatory statements are still trending on the defendant (VeryDarkMan)’s several online platforms and the injury to their reputation continues as long as the publication remains online.”

VeryDarkMan Raises ₦21.6m In 24 Hours For His New NGO

VeryDarkMan, the Nigerian activist and social critic, has announced receiving ₦21,620,780 just 24 hours after launching his NGO.

In a video circulating on social media, the Nigerian activist provided a detailed statement, expressing gratitude for the swift response to his call for support.

Upon launching the NGO, VeryDarkMan encouraged Nigerians to contribute towards his goal of overhauling the public education system with innovative solutions.

Just a day after his appeal, he confirmed the receipt of ₦21,620,780, which will help kickstart his projects.

He emphasised his commitment to transparency, pledging to expose NGOs that misuse public funds for personal gain.

VeryDarkMan also criticised the lack of accountability within many Nigerian NGOs, stating that donations are often diverted for personal enrichment.

He vowed to stand apart by making all expenditures public, setting a new benchmark for integrity and transparency in NGO operations.

Part of his statement reads: “It’s barely 24 hours since I announced my NGO, and if I tell you how much is in that account now, you won’t believe it. First of all, shout out to everyone who sent money. I saw love and support from amounts like ₦72, ₦100, ₦22, ₦500. Most of the money was from small donations—₦500, ₦300, ₦200. Even people who didn’t have much still wanted to support.”

“The biggest amounts were ₦2 million and ₦1 million. But honestly, it’s the smaller amounts that make up the majority. I got one donation with a note saying ‘I love you because you’re crazy,’ and it was just ₦100. That’s love.”

“These contributions have opened my eyes to how many NGOs are scamming people in this country. Many of them are not using the money they receive for the right purposes. But with my NGO, I’ll make sure to expose them by being fully transparent. If I spend ₦10, I’ll let the public know. This will pressure other NGOs to start doing the same.”

VeryDarkMan emphasised that his project is focused on improving public education in Nigeria.

He pointed out that public schools lack young and innovative teachers, and that his plan is to bring in new teaching methods and resources, including technology like projectors, to enhance learning.

“The educational sector, especially in public schools, is failing. There’s nothing exciting about it anymore. We need to bring in young teachers who students can look up to, and we need to introduce modern teaching methods. Education should advance with the times,”
he said.

He also highlighted the importance of equipping students with practical skills, saying, “Not everyone needs to follow the traditional academic route. We should introduce vocational training early so that students can start thinking about their future careers from primary school. We need to bring back cultural events and other activities that make education fun.”

The Real Distraction Is Not DNA, Its Sam Larry, Naira Marley – VeryDarkMan Revisits Mohbad’s Case

Vincent Otse, the popular Nigerian social media critic, who is also known as VeryDarkMan, has revisited the circumstances surrounding the death of the late singer Ileriouluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad.

Recall that Mohbad died on September 12 2023 under questionable circumstances and was buried the following day.

Since his passing, numerous efforts by his family, authorities, and other stakeholders to uncover the truth about his death have been unsuccessful.

In a recent reevaluation of the case, VDM released a new video asserting that justice for Mohbad remains out of reach.

VDM had earlier demanded a DNA test to be conducted, alleging Mohad’s wife Wunmi has knowledge in circumstances surrounding her husband’s death.

However, in a u-turn, he now claimed that the late singer’s former employer, Naira Marley, and his associate, Sam Larry, have knowledge of the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death but have not acted accordingly.

He said, “Mohbad did not get justice at the end of the day, the truth is that the main distraction was not DNA, the distraction was Naira Marley and Sam Larry.

“They themselves knows what happened to the boy, I’m telling you the truth, all of them know. Up till now nobody has brought proof that Sam Larry or Naira Marley killed the boy, they know themselves, they know what happened that day.

“But they covered it up, they were trying to settle scores on whatever Naira Marley or Sam Larry did to them.”

VDM also pointed out that while Mohbad suffered various forms of mistreatment from them, only one incident was captured in a “cropped” video that circulated online.
