My Tears On BBNaija Not A Strategy, The Show Mentally Messes With You – Gigi Jasmine Says

Gigi Jasmine, a former BBNaija Season 10 housemate, has refuted claims that her frequent emotional outbursts in the house were part of a calculated game strategy.

The disc jockey, who was voted out alongside Victory last Sunday, explained in a post-eviction interview that her tears and reactions were entirely genuine and a direct reflection of her personality.

Gigi described the intense environment of the Big Brother house as a “pressure cooker” that takes a significant mental toll on its inhabitants.

She argued that this high-pressure situation naturally amplifies a person’s emotions, leading to more vulnerable moments.

“So it is definitely not a strategy, that is who I am. I am an emotional person, I could cry at the drop of a hat. For me, my family and friends always say that my heart is so big but like it is your greatest strength and weakness,”
she said.

“For me, I got more emotional than usual in the house and the only reason was because that house is a pressure cooker. It mentally messes with you and you can be one of 29 but you still feel so lonely.

“And you are trying to make sure that you present yourself the best way forward. Even if you are trying your hardest to present yourself, you still want to be like you know what? I am human, I still have my moments. A lot of people also had their own moments in the house.”

The BBNaija season 10 edition kicked off with a two-day opening ceremony.

This year’s winner will take home a staggering N150 million — the highest grand prize in the show’s history since its debut in 2006.

You Have Been Reduced To A Misinformation Monster – Presidency Fires At Tunde Ednut

The Presidency has accused popular influencer Tunde Ednut of spreading false information about Nigeria’s security situation.

The Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, disagreed with a submission by Ednut that Nigeria is not safe.

The social media influencer had taken to his Instagram page to warn Nigerians against night movement, stating that the country is not safe. He added that claims by politicians that Nigeria is safe are nothing but lies.

However, reacting in a post via his 𝕏 account on Sunday, the presidential media aide accused Ednut of spreading fake news about the security situation in Nigeria.

Olusegun accused Ednut of posting a video from another country just to support his claim that Nigeria is not safe. The presidency cautioned that such acts are not patriotic but rather reek of desperation to get clicks and traffic to his social media page.

“Nigeria’s security apparatus is in no way close to perfection but the need to consistently chase clout while leveraging on the gullibility of an audience who rely on your page for information about the happenings around them has reduced Tunde Ednut to a misinformation monster that now needs to be checked.

“How desperate can one be to post a video from South Africa in a bid to prove to his audience that “Nigeria is not safe” when tomorrow, you will still tell the same audience that South Africa is safer than Nigeria?

“Acts like this are in no way close to the patriotism or good governance advocacy that you tend to promote, rather it reeks of desperation and need for clicks using negativity that quickly resonates with the majority of your audience,” the presidency submitted.

While noting that the fight against insecurity is an ongoing effort, the presidency highlighted some of the major achievements already recorded in the security sector, including the arrest of several high-profile terrorist leaders, the degradation of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) following the arrest of Simon Ekpa, as well as improved security on the nation’s highway.

“While no one is saying Nigeria is Eldorado as far as insecurity is concerned, we must lay bare the facts here to let Nigerians know that we are better than where we were coming from.

“Hundreds of top bandit leaders have been eliminated over the past two years while thousands of their members have been sent to their creator via the improved coordination between the military forces as now headed by NSA Ribadu.

“The dangerous Abuja-Kaduna highway has become a safer road, and no major insecurity report has been made over the past few months.

“The IPOB menace in the Southeast still exists but has reduced significantly following the arrest of commander Simon Ekpa.

“Again, this is not to say all is well but we are not where we used to be and using videos from South Africa to justify your claims of insecurity suggests that you are short of the negative content you so much desire for Nigeria to appease your sponsors,” the presidency added.

It concluded by urging Ednut and others to cease from spreading false and inciting messages, all in a bid to chase social media clout.

“Tunde Ednut needs to do better, and the truth must be pointed to him accordingly. This is all shades of wrong!”
the statement concluded.

Why Every Woman Needs Self-Respect, Ambition, Not Sugar Daddy – Actress, Beckybambam

Becky Nwanacho, the Nigerian actress, hotelier, and creative entrepreneur, who is popularly known as Beckybambam, has shared insights into her career journey, personal values, and perspectives on some of the most debated topics concerning women, Nollywood, and relationships.

In a candid conversation with Potpourri, she emphasized that self-respect and ambition are the true essentials for women—not dependence on a “sugar daddy.”

When asked about the notion that every single lady needs a sugar daddy, Beckybambam was firm in her response: “I don’t agree. Every woman needs self-respect, ambition, and independence—not a sugar daddy. While some may choose that path, I strongly believe women are capable of achieving their dreams without depending on anyone for validation or survival.”

Speaking on feminism, Beckybambam described it as the fight for equal opportunities and respect for women rather than superiority over men.

“It’s about creating a society where women’s voices, dreams, and contributions are valued just as much as men’s,”
she said.

On social media, she credited the platforms for giving her the opportunity to connect with people globally and share her craft, but admitted the downside is the negativity that sometimes comes with it.

“My best experience has been connecting with amazing people who truly appreciate my work. The worst has been negativity, but I focus on the positive energy and supportive community that keeps me going.”

On the subject of friendship in Nollywood, she acknowledged the mixed experiences in the industry.

“Like every industry, Nollywood has both genuine and fake people. I’ve met colleagues who became family, and I’ve also experienced disappointment. The key is knowing your circle and keeping your values intact.”

Recalling her first movie role, she revealed that it was a small part but a pivotal one:

“It may not have been the lead, but it gave me confidence that I belong in this industry. That first step lit the fire that still drives me today. It was the foundation of my acting journey before I enrolled in acting school.”

Beckybambam listed Bimbo Ademoye, Nancy Isime, Sharon Ooja, and Bisola as her mentors, praising their discipline and resilience.

“They remind me that consistency and character are the true currencies of success.”

On relationships, she said she values respect, kindness, ambition, faith in God, and humor in a man.

“Character and integrity matter far more than material possessions. A man who understands partnership is a treasure.”

Discussing body enhancement, she maintained that women should have the freedom to choose what makes them confident.

“Personally, I believe in doing what makes you feel good and happy. Confidence comes in many forms, and women should own their choices.”

For her, love is about balance.

“Love is about sacrifice and compromise, but it should never cost you your dignity or your dreams. True love allows you to flourish, not diminish.”

Beyond Nollywood, Beckybambam has built a presence in hospitality and digital entrepreneurship, creating multiple streams of income to complement her passion for acting.

Her acting credits include A Tale of Love, Obsession, In Her Shoe, Along Came Love, Sinister 3, Heart Connect, Buy Me a Rose, Talk Your Talk, Compromise, Whispers of the Womb, Unseen Battle, and Office Romance.

With her blend of ambition, resilience, and entrepreneurial drive, Beckybambam represents a new generation of Nollywood stars determined to shape their own narratives both on and off the screen.

He Hit Me Up On Instagram – Nigerian Singer, Fave Recounts Collaboration With Davido On Hit Song ‘Kante’

Chidozie Godsfavour Ugochinyere, the Nigerian songwriter and music artist, who is popularly known as Fave, has shared details about her collaboration with Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, aka Davido, on the hit song “Kante.”

In an interview on The Nancy Isime Show, Fave recalled how Davido personally reached out to her on Instagram after she had recorded the song months earlier.

“Well, I had already recorded this song before, like months before. Davido hit me up on Instagram and was like, I’m wrapping up my album and I would love you to be on it.

“And I don’t want it to be one of those songs where it’s like, even though it’s Davido featuring Fave, I still want it to feel like our song,” she said.

According to her, Davido chose Kante after she sent him about three songs to pick from

“So I sent him three songs and he picked Kante,”
she added.

Fave also highlighted her love for writing and the discouragement she had from her parents from pursuing music to prevent lapses in education.

“And as a child growing up in an African home, I get it. I guess it’s true when you have like strict parents. We have very, very strict. Mommy, I’m sorry. My dad is very, very strict.

“So that’s why they kind of didn’t really let me, you know, like, should I say enhance my writing and singing abilities because they felt like, you know, this would distract you in school.

“But regardless, on my own, it’s something that I love to do. So I was always writing, like I would always have books upon books of poems or songs. So being an artist now, to me, I have to write deep. It’s just a part of me,”she said.

She noted, however, that Kante was one of the few songs she didn’t write too deeply because it was more of a danceable vibe.

“I think Kante is probably one of the songs that I wasn’t trying to be deep on. Because I just felt like ‘Na gbedu’, you don’t really need to put too much lyrics in it.”
she added.
