BBNaija Star, Cross Reveals How He Lost A Juicy Deal Because Of His Faith

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Cross Okonkwo revealed that he lost a job opportunity due to being outspoken about his Christian faith.

The 34-year-old reality TV star said a person decided not to work with him due to the way he openly talks about Jesus Christ on social media.

He did not give details of the job or the company involved but made it clear that he will not hide his belief for any reason.

Cross explained that many people still see him as the same person from the Big Brother Naija house, but he believes he has changed in spirit and character since leaving the show.

He said he would never do wrong or chase money in a way that goes against his faith, even if it means having less.

He also stated that fame does not control him and that true wealth comes from God.

Cross added that he does not want to be compared to other former housemates, saying everyone has their own path, and he wishes them well.

He wrote on X: “You are mad and don’t want to work with me because I have made my faith in Jesus Christ very clear and bold. Lol 😂 one day I will buy your company and buy everything you own.

Phyna Reveals Why She Won’t Advise Anyone To Go For BBNaija (Video)

Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Phyna, has disclosed that she no longer encourages anyone to audition for the popular reality TV show.

She shared that even though the show can bring quick fame, the attention given to housemates usually fades once they leave the house.

Phyna during a livestream on Twitch said that many fans simply move on to the next set of contestants each season, which makes it hard for ex-housemates to maintain the same level of attention they once had during the show.

She also shared that the value people once attached to being a BBNaija star is no longer the same as before, as public perception has changed over time.

According to her, many people believe that life after the show means instant success, but this is not always the case.

She explained that a lot of former housemates struggle quietly, even though social media may paint a different picture filled with luxury and comfort.

Phyna said that the real experience outside the house is often very different from the glam viewers see on screen.

For this reason, she said anyone planning to audition should fully understand the pressure that comes with fame and the tough reality that may follow after the season ends.

She said: “The steeze housemates do have on the show they don’t have it again, because it’s the same fan base that move from one to another, no new people, nothing new. It’s just the same people.

“And that aside, the show has lost credibility compared to the way it was before, because when you tell someone now that I came out of BBNaija, they won’t rate you like they do then.”

Nigerian Actress, Biodun Okeowo Slams Colleagues For ‘Wicked’ Lack Of Support (Video)

Popular Nigerian actress, Biodun Okeowo has voiced her disappointment and frustration over the limited support from her peers for her new film, “December Party.”

In a video posted on Instagram, Okeowo recalled promoting many movies she didn’t feature in and reaching out to producers to send their movies for promotion.

Okeowo questioned why she’s not receiving similar support for her own project, stating she’s only received backing from a few colleagues.

She described her fellow actors as “wicked” and emphasised that support should be intentional and rooted in collective growth.

She said: “I have posted a lot of movies that I didn’t even feature in. Even though I have not produced any movie since 2013, I have been supporting people to the extent that I went to the DMs of producers to send their movies to me to promote. I have now produced my own movie (DECEMBER PARTY), but no one is supporting me.

“What is my offence to you all? Am I that bad? Only a few of my colleagues, whom I can count, supported me. It is when bad things happen to people that you post. You are w!cked.

“Favour is selective and personal. What I am talking about is support, which is intentional, professional, and rooted in collective growth. We are useful to ourselves alive… then let’s support ourselves while we are still living”.

Okeowo further thanked those who supported her, appreciating their encouragement, shares, prayers, and love.

“To everyone I asked for support and who supported me, both within the industry and beyond it, thank you. Your encouragement, shares, prayers, and love carried this journey. I do not take any of it for granted”,
she added.

Lionel Messi Opens Up About Social Media Pressure, Says He Avoids Non-Football Attention

Football legend Lionel Messi has spoken about the intense scrutiny of his social media activity, noting that even his smallest online actions are frequently exaggerated.

In a statement on social media, the Argentine forward noted that routine actions such as following or unfollowing accounts frequently become headline news, forcing him to be more cautious online.

Messi explained that an unfollow can easily be misinterpreted, creating unnecessary speculation and narratives that have nothing to do with football.

Despite this, he said it is impossible to overanalyse every action, adding that living under constant concern about public reaction would make life unmanageable.

The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner stressed that he prefers to keep attention firmly on his football career, noting that he has little interest in being discussed for matters unrelated to the game.

Victor Osimhen Is Not Leaving AFCON Camp, Outburst With Lookman Has Been Settled — NFF Official

A senior official of the Nigerian Football Federation has debunked circulating rumours that Super Eagles forward and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is set to leave the Nigeria camp at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

This was disclosed by a FIFA and CAF-accredited journalist, Adepoju Samuel, who spoke with the official about the outburst between Osimhen and Ademola Lookman during the round of 16 game against Mozambique, which ended 4-0 in favour of the Super Eagles.

Samuel wrote on his X handle on Tuesday, “A top team official just confirmed the latest situation over yesterday’s incident.

“The official said everything has been sorted since last night, and we are all good. There was no discussion about Osimhen leaving the tournament. The issue has been resolved as a family.”

Recall that Nigerian football fans criticised Osimhen for his angry outburst at Lookman during the game.

The Galatasaray striker was captured on camera yelling at Lookman in the 63rd minute after the Atalanta man missed a chance when Osimhen was open.

Lookman had already created two chances for Osimhen at that point, with one being a direct assist and the other coming through Akor Adams.

In the footage, Osimhen first pulled away from captain Wilfred Ndidi, then pointed his finger angrily at Lookman before shouting his displeasure at his teammate. At the end, he could be heard saying in pidgin, “No try am again,” which means “do not try that again.”

Osimhen asked to be subbed off subsequently and was then booed off the pitch by the fans as Moses Simon came on for the striker.

The incident sparked widespread criticism on the social media platform X, with fans questioning Osimhen’s attitude despite the team’s dominant performance.

However, reacting on Tuesday, Lookman shared pictures of himself alongside Victor Osimhen and Bruno Onyemaechi on the pitch following Nigeria’s win against Mozambique at the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16, which was played on Monday.

The footballer shared the post on his official Instagram page on Tuesday with the caption,“TOGETHER ALWAYS”.

Also, both the Eagles coach, Eric Chelle and the captain, Wilfred Ndidi, have dismissed the rumoured misunderstanding between the duo talismen while urging Nigerians to keep backing the team as they focus on their next outing against either Algeria or DR Congo in the quarter finals.
