Burna Boy Mocks South Africans After A White South African Won The Miss SA Pageantry Following The Withdrawal Of Chidinma Adetshina

Burna Boy, the world-famous Nigerian superstar singer, has mocked South Africans.

The singer mocked them while reacting to a white South African woman winning the Miss South Africa pageantry following a controversy that led to the withdrawal of Chidinma Vanessa Adetshina.

Mia Le Roux is the new Miss South Africa. The Free State-born model was crowned at a ceremony held at the Sun Bet Arena at Time Square in Menlyn, Pretoria.

Mia Le Roux is the first Miss SA Winner who is deaf & has a cochlear implant. She will be the first contestant at the Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico with such a disability to take part in the competition.

For her tenure, she walks away with the Mowana crown, a lavish fully furnished apartment, a Mercedes Benz, R1 million and more prizes.

Reacting to the development, Burna Boy wrote “So after all that”, adding laughter emojis.

His reaction is coming after Chidnma Adetshina, a 23-year-old law student who said her father is Nigerian while her mum is a South African of Mozambican descent, withdrew from the pageant over controversies about her nationality.

Some South Africans had questioned whether Chidinma was really a citizen of the country and took to social media to ask for her to be removed from the pageant.

SA Home Affairs then began an investigation into Chidinma’s roots and discovered that the identity of an “innocent” South African mother “may have been stolen” by Adetshina’s mother. This prompted Chidinma to withdraw from the competition.

Talking about her misunderstanding with other contestants in the house, Ojo said, “I believe that if I had acted better, and people didn’t take the issue that happened in the kitchen in an offensive way, we won’t be out by now, because Toyosi was already starting to form some alliances with the girls and others.”

On what’s next for her, Ojo said, “I am a nightlife promoter, so I am hoping for it to grow bigger and attract more collaboration and partnerships. I am also a professional chef, and I intend to brush up my culinary skills. I would like to try presenting as well.”

Samuel Chukwueze, the Super Eagles forward, has disclosed that his mother still desires him to pursue a career in medicine or pharmacy, despite his success in football, according to Soccernet.ng.

He said: “My mom did not want me to play football. In Africa, everyone focuses on school, and she used to say ‘football will never make you money,” Chukwueze said, per football Italia.

“But I was born with football inside me. I would play until seven in the evening, and when I came home, she would punish me. She would take my football shoes and confiscate them, so I had to hide them.

“The problem was she always found them. Once, she burned my shoes and shirts and told me, ‘Samuel, you need to focus on your studies.’ I tried, but a part of me was switched off.”

Although his mother is highly supportive of him, Chukwueze admits that she still wants him to study and become a medical doctor.

“The funny thing is, in Africa, you don’t change your mind. She still wants me to study, wants me to be a doctor, maybe a doctor in football. I wanted to be a lawyer, but she said, ‘No, no, doctor. You need to study pharmacy,”Chukwueze added.

BBNaija S9: ‘My Partner, Damilola Is Selfish’ – Evicted Housemate, Toyosi

Toyosi, the evicted Big Brother Naija Season 9 housemate, has described her partner, Damilola, as “selfish.”

The Tami duo got brutally honest with each other on the latest episode of ‘Hero’s Therapy’ hosted by media personality, Hero Daniels.

Toyosi: “It has always been about you, you wanting me to do something, you don’t want to pursue your relationship with somebody because of me.

“The whole time, I don’t think Dami has thought about how I’ve felt or how I really feel. It has just been about her feelings. Dami has just done things for herself. When the whole thing [love triangle with Topher] started, she didn’t consider how I would feel about anything. It was her feelings. She thinks, she thinks, she thinks. Which to me is selfish.”

Dami: “I think we should just have a space. I think that’s better.”

Toyosi: “I didn’t know that she would bring this up here.”

Dami: “Mehn, I never knew I was going to bring this up here. Have your space as much as you want, I’m just gonna leave you.”

Toyosi: “This is what I’m saying.”

Dami: “What are you saying?”

Toyosi: “Don’t make me feel bad. I didn’t make you feel bad when you were feeling yourself.”

Dami: “How am I making you feel bad?”

Toyosi: “The way you are talking, Dami.”

Dami: “How am I supposed to talk?”

Toyosi: “In a more understanding way. You’re not being understanding.”

Daily Post reports that Tami pair were the first to be evicted from the Big Brother house this season last Sunday.

‘Drake, Shallipopi, Odumodublvck Inspired Me’ – Victony Reveals

Anthony Ebuka Victor, the famous Nigerian musician, who is popularly known as Victony, has spoken about his rap inspirations.

The music star, who started his career as a rapper before switching to other genres, said his hip-hop inspirations include global heavyweights like Kendrick Lamar, Drake, J.Cole, and Meek Mill, and his compatriots MI Abaga, Odumodublvck and Shallipopi.

Speaking in a recent interview with Sway Universe, Victony said: “I started [my career] as a rapper. I really looked up to Kendrick Lamar earlier in my career because of his artistry. Kendrick is that one rapper who is not just about what he says but also his visualisation and the way he presents it to his fans. That made me a strong fan of Kendrick.

“I also likes Drake because of his flexibility. He’s one of the first Americans to hop on the Afrobeats wave. I was a fan of Drake before that. Obviously, I listened to J.Cole as well. I listened to some Meek Mill.

“MI Abaga inspires me too, because he was one of the rappers that popularised the genre in Nigeria and made young artists believed it was possible to be successful as a rapper in the country. Now, we have the likes of Odumodublvck and Shallipopi. Odumodublvck just did his US tour. Rap is becoming big in Nigeria. Sometimes, I blend it with afrobeats.”

Victony said he’s also hoping to inspire other Nigerian children to achieve their dreams.

“I am doing this for Doyin. I am doing this for the kids in Ojo. I hope that they look at me and get inspired,” he said.

Why I Rejected Lucrative Saudi Offer — Chukwueze Reveals

Samuel Chukwueze, the Nigerian winger, has revealed the reason behind his decision to snub a move to Saudi Arabia last summer.

Chukwueze was approached by a number of clubs in the Asian country after the end of the 2022/23 season.

The 25-year-old however decided against accepting the tempting offer despite plea fron his manager.

Instead, the talented winger joined Serie A giants, AC Milan ending his five-year stay with LaLiga club, Villarreal.

“If money were a problem, I would have signed in Saudi Arabia. They wanted me a year ago,” the 25-year-old was quoted by Football Italia.

”My mind was set only on Milan. My agent told me, ‘Hey, look, there’s this money…’ But I said no: ‘I don’t want to go anywhere else.’

“So he gave up. If that money comes, it comes. The most important thing now is to believe in myself; I’m still young, I want to make it, I need to stay in Europe.”

Chukwueze scored once in 24 league appearances for AC Milan last season.
