Rema Pens Soothing Note To Fan Dealing With Depression

Superstar Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor aka Rema has penned a thoughtful note to help a fan battling with depression.

Last night, the singer engaged in an interactive session with his fans via Instagram.

Rema answered questions regarding his age, work, and turn-offs.

One of Rema’s fans asked him how he would help someone dealing with depression. Without hesitation, Rema penned lengthy soothing words to him, sharing insights on how to deal with the situation.

Rema Wrote:

“Sometimes it’s just your soul not resonating with your current personality, it’s like a conflict within you. It needs you to change or evolve.

Sometimes you’ve dwelled in an environment that has dampened your energy and state of mind for too long.

Sometimes your mind has nothing to ponder upon to orate a view of the future for you, so try new things. Read, watch videos and educate your mind. If it creates an illusion for you, it just wants to be busy

Sometimes you just needs to vent, most times you’ll answer your own questions when you vent.

Hopefully, this helps, stay strong brother”

Assault: Police Give Portable 72-hour Ultimatum To Report Himself

Nigerian musician, Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable has been given 72 hours to report to the Ogun State Police Command.
Police said failure to do that will result in his arrest.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the development in a statement on Wednesday.
Mr Oyeyemi said Portable had been informed to submit himself to the police or risk being arrested.
He also confirmed that Portable’s father had pleaded on his son’s behalf and promised to bring him to the station.
The PUNCH reports that two videos on Tuesday went viral showing the artiste cursing some officers of the  Force in Ogun state.
In the clip, Portable claimed that an internet fraudster had brought the police to his bar to arrest him and his staff members “for no reason”.
However, the Ogun state police spokesperson, Oyeyemi, explained that the police moved to arrest Portable after five invites were sent to him and another through his father, but he never honoured any of the summons.
He further said the Zazu crooner was invited following a petition by a young studio owner who claimed that Portable together with his aides beat him to stupor and locked his studio.
Oyeyemi said, “On receiving the petition, an invitation letter was sent to him five times but he refused to appear at the police station. Again, an invitation letter was sent to him through his father; he still did not come to the station.

“The police did not want a breakdown of law and order so his arrest was to be effected on Tuesday and now he started with all series of videos, saying all sorts of things. His father has been begging but we have told him that if he (Portable) refuses to turn himself in between now and Friday, he will be arrested.”
Meanwhile, The PUNCH reports that in 2022, Portable’s father had escorted him to the Police Headquarters at Eleweran, Abeokuta, after the singer refused to honour police invitation over alleged assault of a disc jockey in the Sango area of the state.

You Don’t Deserve Oyetola’s Congratulatory Message – Osun APC Tells Adeleke

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has replied Senator Ademola Adeleke after he lamented that he’s yet to get congratulatory message his predecessor, Gboyega Oyetola.
APC on Tuesday said there is nothing justifiable to warrant such over a subsisting election matter which will soon be challenged at the Supreme Court.
It will be recalled that Adeleke in an interview with Arise Television on Monday had stated that he was expecting a congratulatory message from Oyetola, the APC governorship candidate, in the July 16, 2023 election who was adjudged the winner of the election by the Justice Tertsea Kumeh-led governorship election petition tribunal but reversed by the Court of Appeal, Abuja, last Friday.
But, the party in a statement by its spokesperson, Chief Adekola Olabisi on behalf of the state Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal maintained, “I don’t understand the thinking of Adeleke. Is he saying that Oyetola should congratulate him for killing APC members?

“If Adeleke has conscience, does he want to pretend that he wasn’t aware that his party, the PDP, turned Osun State to a killing field before, during and after the elections, the results of which he is dubiously flaunting to feign non-existing popularity and acceptability?

“Adeleke will have to wait till eternity for a congratulatory message from Oyetola whom he robbed in the daylight during the elections that were won for him by the militia wing of his administration.”

“If congratulatory messages are being sold in an open market, it is not an hyperbolic expression to state that our candidate, Oyetola, cannot extend one to you for one Kobo.”

“Why would a potential respondent in the Supreme Court in an extant matter demand for a congratulatory message from an appelant if not for an ulterior motive or lack of knowledge of the workings of the judicial endeavours?

“Adeleke does not merit Oyetola’s congratulatory message as it is being forcefully demanded by the governor as it is not for frivolous ventures.

“Such a request for a congratulatory message by Adeleke from Oyetola sounds funny and bizarre when it was the PDP hoodlums who invaded some of the polling units and collation centres to rig the flaunted elections which could better be described as charades, for Adeleke.

“If the demand for a congratulatory message from Oyetola is another stratagem being hatched by the PDP’s tacticians in the state, it has missed its target as there’s no way that it can fly.

“This is a follow-up to the subtle pressure being put on Oyetola not to access the Supreme Court since about three days ago which was kick-started by the Human Rights Writers Association (HURIWA); one charge-and-bail activist lawyer Olajengbesi; Diran Odeyemi and the expired state caretaker committee chairman of the PDP, Dr Akindele Adekunle, among other apologists of the PDP”, the state APC acting chairman said.
He however posited that, there is no need for them to be developing a cold feet about or phobia for the Supreme Court on the subsisting Osun governorship logjam if truly there’s no skeleton in their cupboards.
