Big Brother Naija reality (BBNaija) star mercy eke has revealed that relationships produced by the reality show are the biggest scam.

Reality stars mercy eke and ike o team used to be one of the ‘perfect’ couples that were produced by one of the biggest reality shows, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija). However, the two went on their separate ways.

In an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Mercy Eke disclosed why she stuck with her former lover Ike Onyema even after the show.

According to Mercy Eke, she didn’t know her fanbase outside the house was that strong because if she knew, she wouldn’t bother herself getting herself involved with Ike. She added that the relationship between herself and Ike wasn’t working but because there was money involved she had to stick around him.

In her words: “BBNaija relationships are the biggest scam, it was even original for me initially, as a matter of fact, if I had known that I was a strong housemate and that people loved me for me, I wouldn’t have bothered getting involved with him.

I wouldn’t say it was a strategy, for me, we flowed with it but we had to put up a show even when not happy for people who aren’t even in relationships. If it is not working out, you move but in my case I couldn’t, I had to be there cos of money, otherwise, I won’t have my complete money.
