Don’t Ever Disrespect My Wife – Portable Attacks 4th Babymama, Ashabi Simple

Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable has lashed out at his fourth babymama and Nollywood actress, Ashabi Simple.
He slammed her for disrespecting his wife, Bewaji.
In a cryptic post on social media, Portable warned her never to disrespect his wife, Bewaji.
Expressing his loyalty to Bewaji, Portable emphasised that her support from his early days earned her a special place in his life.
He said, “Don’t ever disrespect my wife, Bewaji. She is always minding her business. She was the only woman who stood by me when I had nothing. She is always satisfied with anything I give her, unlike you, who doesn’t appreciate me. Are you mad? Do you want Ogun to kill you?
 
“I am a married man. If you want me to marry you too, you must fight for it. If my name is removed from your life, who will you be? You need to behave and appreciate Bewaji. If she didn’t approve you, you would not be with me today because her happiness is my happiness. You got pregnant and I accepted you. What else do you want? Stay in your lane.”

I Can Afford to Fail in Music But Not as Father, Husband – Adekunle Gold

Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold has revealed his mindset about parenting.
According to him, he can’t fail as a father and husband to his wife, Simi, and daughter, Adejare.
Speaking further, the singer stated that as a musician, he’s allowed to fail, but not as a husband and father.
Featuring in a recent episode of the NotJustOk podcast, Adekunle Gold stated that one of his greatest goal is to give his daughter a better life than his parents gave him growing up.
He shared that his song ‘My Love Is The Same’ was inspired by his determination to be a better father to his daughter.
“All I wanted to be is to do more for my own daughter because I can’t afford to bring her to the kind of life that I grow up living. It has to be way better. And that’s why I’m working hard.
 
“My family is my centre. I don’t joke with my family. I can afford to be a failed musician, not a failed father or a man. That’s not negotiable for me,” he expressed.

Nigerian Music Industry Becoming Boring – Omah Lay Laments

Afrobeats singer, Stanley Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay has lamented over Nigeria’s music industry.

According to him, the industry is becoming too boring.

Speaking via his Snapchat, Omah Lay wrote,“Una music industry is boring AF! Spirit is coming to f**k up the continent in a bit.”

This is coming after another Nigerian singer, Slimcase, expressed concern over the country’s music industry, claiming that Afrobeats artists’ sounds were becoming boring.
The Shaku Shaku crooner urged Afrobeats to release less music in order to bid excitements and anticipation for their releases.
He claimed that the constant release of songs among the Afrobeat stars was “killing” the genre.

I Can’t Walk Again – TikToker Salo Cries Out For Justice

TikTok sensation Odesanmi Opeyemi aka Oloba Salo has called out musician, Naira Marley and other notable figures to come to his help.
He cried out in a recent video stating that an attack he suffered last year has left him unable to walk.
In the viral clip shared on social media, Salo claimed that he was shot three times and has since been struggling to regain full use of his legs.
The content creator tearfully pleaded for justice, saying the incident has left him traumatized and permanently affected.
In his words, he said:
“They shot me three times. I can’t walk with my legs again. I’m not happy; I’m going through a lot. I bought a house in Lekki, but I can’t stay there.”
We had earlier reported that Salo was shot in his car last year during a robbery attack by unknown gunmen, and since then, he has not been able to fully recover or regain his ability to walk properly.

I Didn’t Play ‘Pity Card’ Strategy On BBNaija – Imisi Opens Up

Imisi, the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, has refuted allegations that she employed a pity strategy to win the hearts and votes of viewers.

She revealed on Arise TV that she had only a few days to pack for the show after receiving her acceptance email, and didn’t have time to plan her approach.

Imisi stated that she brought whatever clothes she had on hand and didn’t expect to be picked for the show.

She emphasised that her authenticity was genuine, and she didn’t manipulate emotions to win over the audience.

With conviction, Imisi asserted that her journey in the Big Brother house was unscripted, and her connection with the audience was real.

“I didn’t come in with a pity strategy. I didn’t even believe I was going to be picked for the show. When I got the mail, I had only a few days to pack.

“I was in Ijebu at the time, and I brought all the costumes I took to that location to my sister, then we started planning,” Imisi said.

Imisi was announced winner of BBNaija season 10 on October 5, 2025 by the show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
