Transfer: Drama Looms As Mbappe Tells PSG He’ll Not Leave Club Under Any Circumstances

Kylian Mbappe, the world-famous Paris Saint-Germain forward, has told the Parisians he will not leave the club.

 

He said he will not leave the club under any circumstances this summer, Sky Sports News reports.

Mbappe feels let down by PSG’s transfer policy amid reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

The France captain will be frozen out of PSG’s squad and will not play for the club until his contract runs out next season.

Meanwhile, PSG is planning for life without Mbappe.

The French Ligue 1 champions also want to set a precedent and send a message to all players, regardless of who they are, that no one is bigger than the club.

Mbappe was recently left out of PSG’s squad for their pre-season as he has so far refused to sign a new contract with the club.

On his Twitter handle on Thursday, Don Jazzy wrote, “Big brother Naija fights are always funny to me.

“Especially when they switch from speaking fune to pidgin. Osheeey street.”

Nigerians Suffering But Leaders Sending Money To Themselves For Holidays – Mr Macaroni

Debo Adebayo, the famous Nigerian social activist and skit maker, who is better known as Mr Macaroni, has slammed the leadership of the National Assembly.

He slammed them over their luxurious lifestyles amid unbearable hardship by Nigerians.

Macaroni lamented that while Nigerians are going through unbearable hardship, their leaders were sending money to themselves to enjoy holidays.

His reaction followed a video circulating online in which the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, during a plenary session announced to his colleagues that “a token has been sent to their various accounts to enable them enjoy their holiday”.

The development has attracted many negative comments from Nigerians.

In a post on his social media platform on Wednesday, the social activist questioned why poor Nigerians have to pay for the luxurious lifestyle of their leaders.

“The Senate President has sent very expensive prayers out of the insufficient blessings of over 200 million people to himself and his already blessed colleagues at the National Assembly.

“These are the leaders that have asked struggling Nigerians to make sacrifices if they want things to work in the country. So while Nigerians are going through unbearable hardship, our leaders are sending money to themselves to enjoy holidays.

“Who are those that should be making sacrifices if not for our leaders?

“Do our leaders understand that leadership is about service, selfishness and sacrifice??

“Why do the poor people of Nigeria have to pay for the luxurious lifestyle of the leaders?? Why??? This isn’t leadership!!!”

2023 WWC: We’re Broke – NFF Gives Conditions To Pay Super Falcons Outstanding Monies

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has admitted that it has gone “broke”.

The NFF made this admission as their standoff with the women’s national team over outstanding monies continues.

 

The football house says it could only disburse the funds if they get additional payments from FIFA.

This was revealed by a former media officer of the Super Eagles, Colin Udoh, via his Twitter feed.

According to him, the NFF has already written to the federal government asking for funds to be approved.

Udoh wrote: “Late last week, I had a chat with NFF president @IbrahimMusaGus1. Among the many questions I asked him was the Super Falcons’ outstanding payments.

“He told me the NFF is flat broke, but would pay them from the federation share of the FIFA World Cup funds. He also mentioned that they had requested for funds from the FG, which had been approved, but had not been disbursed yet.

“Btw, anyone who has dealt with the Nigerian govt (state or FG) will know the term “approval is not the same as release”.

“I also spoke with another senior NFF official today after seeing the @FIFPRO statement. And he told me that their involvement changes nothing.

“The players would get paid their outstanding once either of those two monies come in first.

“He explained that the NFF had not received any funding since and their last payment from FIFA was used to settle part of the national teams’ coaches wages (Peseiro and Waldrum). And that the FIFA funds had already been earmarked for paying the players outstandings.”

Randy Waldrum and his ladies have been at odds with the NFF over unpaid salaries and bonuses.

This led to the global players’ union, FIFPRO, releasing a statement on Tuesday in solidarity. The body noted that “it is regrettable that players needed to challenge their own federation at such an important time.”

A new immigration pathway for carpenters, plumbers and welders from other countries, including Nigeria, has been unveiled by Canada.

Canada’s express entry is an online system used by the Canadian government to provide permanent residence to skilled workers. It’s the country’s main system for managing skilled worker applications for Canadian immigration.

In a statement by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on Tuesday, the country announced a streamlined immigration pathway for skilled workers with specific expertise in carpentry, plumbing and welding.

“Canada’s Express Entry (EE) system is now tailored to provide a streamlined and efficient pathway for individuals with expertise in critical fields.

“By prioritising the invitation of skilled newcomers with experience in the trades, the country aims to meet the increasing demand for talent and fill key positions that contribute to the nation’s economic growth and advancement.

“These category-based selection rounds will continue throughout the year, alongside general invitation rounds, and more details will be announced in the coming weeks.”

According to Marc Miller, Minister of IRCC, it is absolutely critical to address the shortage of skilled trades workers in our country, and part of the solution is helping the construction sector find and maintain the workers it needs.

“This round of category-based selection recognizes these skilled trades’ workers as essential, and I look forward to welcoming more of these talented individuals to Canada,” he said.

There are many different ways for professionals and workers to qualify for a Canada immigration permanent resident visa, according to lawyers at First Immigration Law Firm based in Canada.

The most prominent option is through Express Entry, which is Canada’s main pathway for economic class skilled workers. Your best bet to be eligible under the entry is to meet the requirements of either the Federal Skilled Worker Program or Canadian Experience Class.

WhatsApp has announced a new feature.
WhatsApp introduced a new screen-sharing feature to enhance the video calling experience on its platform.
The announcement was made by Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta on Tuesday via Facebook.
The new feature will allow users to share documents, photos, and even their shopping cart with contacts available on video calls.
 
“We are thrilled to introduce the ability to share your screen during WhatsApp video calls,” Zuckerberg said.
In a statement, AT3 Resources, a consulting firm overseeing Meta’s operations in Nigeria, highlighted the versatility of the feature for both personal and professional contexts.
The company said users can now utilise landscape mode on smartphones during video calls.
The statement added that the new feature will help to enhance the visual and sharing experience and create a more immersive interaction.
 
“This feature is particularly useful for both personal and professional scenarios,” the statement reads.
“Also, WhatsApp users can now enjoy video calls in landscape mode on smartphones.
 
“This enhancement offers a wider and more immersive viewing and sharing experience during video calls.”
The new feature not only positions itself against traditional video conferencing apps like Microsoft Meet, Google Meet, and Zoom but also competes with Apple’s FaceTime.
Last month, WhatsApp introduced an instant video messaging feature.
The chat locking feature was unveiled in June, offering users an additional layer of privacy and security.
