Burna Boy, the world-famous Afrobeat musician, has revealed that he is now richer than most of the Nigerian politicians and oil tycoons he once looked up to.

He made this known in a post on his Instagram story on Saturday, while advising his followers not to underestimate those who are younger than them.

Revealing his financial status, the singer explained “Imagine growing up and only oil men and politicians were the ones really getting the real money followed by the G boys. Music wasn’t even in the conversation when money was the topic.

“Now an ugly black musician from Port Harcourt got more money than 90% of the people he looked up to as money makers.”

Burna Boy advised his followers not to look down on anyone because they could become tomorrow’s ELon Musk.

Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, the Afrobeats star, who is popularly known as Ayra Starr, has hinted at why she is still single.

The 22-year-old said she has very high standards for dating, which will be hard for any man to meet.

She said she was grateful that she didn’t start dating before hitting stardom.

Starr shared this in an interview with Coco Jones for Rolling Stone’s Musicians on Musicians issue.

“I’m so happy I wasn’t really dating before I started music. I didn’t really know what I was missing.

“So now that I waited this long to date people, I have very high standards. If it’s gonna be hard to meet it, it’s gonna be bye-bye. But also, I don’t have time for myself, talk less of a boy,” she said.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Partner, Georgina Rodriguez Reveals She Was Hospitalized With Pneumonia For Four Days

Georgina Rodriguez, an Argentine-Spanish model and partner of footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, was hospitalized for four days after she was down with pneumonia.

The 30-year-old shared a health update on her Instagram story which explained the news.

She said: ‘Finally back home! I spent four days in the hospital with pneumonia, I’m better now but still recovering at home with my family.

‘I have to say a big THANK YOU to all the staff members, doctors, nurses and everyone at the hospital… they took care of me so wonderfully and I am very grateful for that.

‘Thank you all for such a great stay.”

The Sun reported that Rodriguez was admitted to Saudi German Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where she is based with Ronaldo.

The influencer and model has been with the Portuguese superstar since 2016 after they met at a Gucci retail store in Madrid. The couple have two children together, while Ronaldo has three other children from previous relationships.

Popular Nigerian singer, Portable has taken to an Instagram post made by his fourth baby mama to call her out online.

Omobolarinde Akinyanju, better known as Ashabi Mohsimple, welcomed her second child with singer Portable just last month.

Today, she posted a cute video of herself.

In the caption, she wrote: “A blessed woman. A happy woman. A determined woman. A greatful woman. A peaceful woman.”

Portable left several comments on the post, calling her out.

He wrote: “Your leg no good ooo you need prayer.” 

“You dey look for fame that’s why you born for star.  No dey use your own fake love dey spoil real love for me,” he said in another comment.

When her followers called him out for his comments, he returned to leave more comments.

He wrote: “Na fame she want that’s why we dey give her the fame.” 

“She come from good home but she no get home training na Ọmọ lile,” he added.

Despite Leaving $70bn in Nigeria’s Coffers, We Owe More Debt Now – Obasanjo

Former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo has expressed disappointment with Nigeria’s current debt size.
Obasanjo recalled he left the nation with about $70 billion, including a $45 billion reserve and $25 billion in a designated “excess crude” account.
The former President spoke on Thursday in an exclusive interview with Kayode Akintemi of News Central Television.
Obasanjo, who lamented the poor quality of leadership in the country, said his government met a debt overhang of close to $36 billion but reduced it to about $3.5 to $3.6 billion before leaving office in 2007.
His words: “I came in 1999 and met $3.7 billion in the reserve. And I have told you, we were spending $3.5 billion to service the debts. That’s what we had.
 
“By the time we left eight years later, with debt relief, when I came in, we had a debt overhang of close to $36 billion. By the time I left, with the debt relief and clearing what we had to clear, the quantum of debt that I left was about $3.5 to $3.6 billion from over or around $36 billion.
 
“At the same time, the reserve that was $3.7 billion when I came in went to $45 billion. At the same time, we had what we called “Excess crude”, which is what is in excess of what we budget and what we actually sell the crude. Normally, we are conservative in budgeting, we call it “Excess crude”. So, we had in it about $25 billion. When you add that to the reserve, we are talking about $70 billion.
 
“Now, the point is that I left in 2007. Today between 2007 and 2024, all that amount of money has gone; all of it. Not only that, but all the money they made all that period had gone. And today, we owe more than we owe when we came to government in 1999.”

I Did Not Want It – Obasanjo Reveals Sponsors Of Third Term Ambition

Ex-President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has spoken on the controversy surrounding his purported ambition for a third term in office.

There have been claims that Obasanjo was nursing a third term as president, and the former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, also admitted to stopping the agenda.

However, in an interview with Kayode Akintemi on News Central Television on Thursday, Obasanjo said he would have gotten a third term if he had pushed for it but did not want it.

He attributed the report of nursing a third term to some governors who were secretly working towards extending their terms in office.

According to him, the governors believed that if he (Obasanjo) secured a third term, they would also benefit from an extended tenure.

Obasanjo noted that getting debt relief for the country was much more complicated than getting a third term, adding that his government could get debt relief for Nigeria when he was in office.

He said, “If I had wanted a third term, I would have gotten it. I didn’t want a third term. I know some governors working for this, believing that if I, as president, got a third, they would also get it.”

Doctor Olufunmilayo Gives Expert Opinion on Jarvis’ Mouth Tumour

A UK-based medical doctor, Olufunmilayo Harvey has given an expert opinion after TikToker Jadrolita a.k.a Jarvis shared her battle with mouth tumour.
In a video she shared online, the Tiktoker had begged Nigerians to come to her assistance.
“I really hope this video goes viral and this lady gets the help she needs. This tumor in her mouth could be quite serious if nothing is done,” he stated.
Reacting to Jarvis’ issue, Olufunmilayo wrote: “May God make the results of the tests good. And may she find her feet again to do what she loves best. Let’s be human. Let’s be decent. Let’s be kind.”
