Talks Are Ongoing – Actress Doris Ogala Gives Update On Face-Off With Chris Okafor (Video)

Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has provided the public with an update on the ongoing controversy between her and Pastor Chris Okafor, the founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry.

Earlier, 626Blaze reported that the actress was arrested by the Lagos State Police on Saturday for dragging Chris Okafor after he allegedly failed to fulfill his marriage promise to her.

She was released on Monday afternoon after spending two nights in police custody, where the pastor allegedly begged her for a peaceful resolution.

However updating the public about the current state of her issues with the clergyman, Doris, who has earlier requested compensation from Okafor, disclosed that table talks and resolution are ongoing.

“Talks is going on now, resolution is ongoing at the moment. I’m still in Lagos, I’m not back in Abuja. I want to know where it’s heading, and I want to know the end of this table talk. I will come back, and I will seek God’s face.

“I will ask God the next direction, what should I do because at the moment, I don’t know what to do. I will ask for his wisdom, what should I do, because I have a lot to say, I have a lot I want to reveal, I have a lot I want the world to learn from this.

“At the same time, I don’t want to have anyone’s blood on my hand. This is still bad than anyone thinks. I haven’t said anything. What I just said online is nothing to what I’m about to say before my arrest.

“But I will leave everything to God and pray and seek his direction to let him direct me on how best to go about it. I’m not afraid of anyone, I’m not afraid of going to jail. All I want is to speak my truth, and my truth I will speak,” she said.

BREAKING: Nigerian Govt, ASUU Finally Seal New Deal

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Federal Government have successfully concluded the long-awaited renegotiation of the 2009 FGN–ASUU Agreement, bringing an end to years of prolonged discussions and disputes over academic welfare and the funding of public universities.

The development was disclosed by ASUU in a statement shared on its official Facebook page on Wednesday.

The agreement is scheduled to take effect from January 1, 2026, and will be reviewed after three years.

ASUU announced that the new agreement was reached on December 23, 2025, following extensive negotiations between both parties.

“After years of delays, negotiations, and struggles, ASUU has officially reached a new agreement with the Federal Government on December 23, 2025, concluding the renegotiation of the 2009 FGN–ASUU Agreement,” ASUU said.

Under the agreement, academic staff in Nigerian public universities will receive a 40 per cent salary increase, while pension benefits have been significantly improved.

Professors are to earn pension equivalent to their annual salary upon retirement at the age of 70.

The agreement also introduces a new university funding model with dedicated allocations for research, libraries, laboratories, equipment and staff development.

In addition, a National Research Council is proposed to fund research activities with at least one per cent of Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product.

Other provisions include stronger university autonomy and academic freedom, the election of academic leaders such as Deans and Provosts, with eligibility restricted to professors, and a commitment that no individual will be victimised for participating in past industrial actions.

Nigerian Singer, Davido Dumps PDP, Announces New Party

David Adeleke, the popular Nigerian singer, who is known professionally as Davido, has officially declared his alignment with the Accord Party, joining his uncle and Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

The award-winning artiste made the announcement on Tuesday via his verified 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) handle, revealing plans to travel to Osogbo, the Osun State capital, to collect his party membership card.

“I will be live in Osun to pick up my @AccordPartyNG membership card @ IMOLE HOUSE OSOGBO tomorrow… see you soon ACCORDINGLY. Cc @AAdeleke_01,” Davido wrote.

Davido’s decision comes barely two weeks after Governor Adeleke adopted the Accord Party as his new political platform following his exit from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The governor formally announced his defection on December 9, 2025, at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Osogbo, in the presence of national and state leaders of the Accord Party.

Adeleke’s move marked a major political realignment in Osun State, with the governor declaring his intention to seek re-election on the platform of the Accord Party.

Explaining his decision to dump the PDP, Governor Adeleke cited the lingering leadership crisis at the national level of the party.

He disclosed that he officially joined the Accord Party on November 6, following wide consultations with political stakeholders and opinion leaders across the state.

According to the governor, the decision was taken to safeguard his re-election ambition and ensure political stability in Osun.

Davido had earlier sparked public interest after reacting to his uncle’s resignation from the PDP by reposting the announcement on social media with a cryptic caption, “Jeje…”.

The singer’s latest move now confirms speculations of his full political alignment with the Osun governor as preparations intensify ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

What Buhari Asked Me When We Took The Decision To Ban Twitter – Lai Mohammed

Lai Mohammed, a former Minister of Information and Culture, has disclosed the question former President Muhammadu Buhari asked him during the 2021 decision to suspend Twitter (now 𝕏).

He stated that Buhari asked him if he had the capacity to carry out the deed, to which he replied affirmatively.

Speaking during an appearance on Channels Television on Tuesday, he dismissed claims that the social media platform was banned because it offended the political class.

He maintained that the suspension followed long-standing engagements and unresolved regulatory concerns.

“When we took the decision to suspend the operations of Twitter, the President, God bless his soul, asked me only one question: do I have the capacity to do so? And I said yes.

“I discussed with my colleague, the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy. But the sole purpose why we suspended the operation of Twitter was because it was becoming reckless,” Mohammed stated.

Nigeria and Twitter reached an agreement in 2022, leading to the restoration of the platform after a 222-day suspension.

As part of the deal, Twitter committed to establishing a legal presence in Nigeria, paying applicable taxes, appointing a country representative and cooperating with the government on content regulation.

While some conditions reportedly took time to fully materialise, the government has maintained that the measures were necessary to protect national interest rather than suppress free expression.

Don Jazzy, Dbanj And Others Betrayed, Ganged Up Against Me – Nigerian Singer, JJC Skillz Alleges (Video)

Veteran Nigerian rapper and singer JJC Skillz has made bold claims regarding his fallout with Don Jazzy and other members of the former Mo’Hits crew.

Speaking on the Echo podcast, JJC alleged that Don Jazzy, Dbanj, Ayo and DJ Abbas “conspired” against him at a time when he believed they were meant to help him connect properly with the Nigerian music industry.

According to him, it was Cass who introduced Don Jazzy to him, while Ayo came with DJ Abbas. JJC said he met them through their TV station and openly told them he needed help getting introduced to the right people in Nigeria.

He claimed that Don Jazzy recorded a song with him, while Dbanj also had his own song, but unknown to him, the group allegedly had other plans.

JJC said he later heard from Ruggedman that the band had been making statements about him, including claims that he was cheating them and refusing to pay them.

Reacting to those allegations, JJC insisted he was shocked, stressing that he housed them, fed them, clothed them, and took them to shows.

“How can I be cheating you when you haven’t made any money?”
he asked, adding that at the time, he was the one introducing them and putting them out there.
