Odumodublvck Reveals The Shocking Story Behind His Stage Name

Nigerian rapper, Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has revealed how he got his stage name.

According to him, the name originated from a playful childhood moment that unexpectedly defined his music identity.

He stated this during a recent interview with BET Network.
Accordign to the rapper, the name “Odumodu” — which means masquerade, was first used to tease him.
“Odumodu means masquerade. I tried to scare someone and he called me that name. I was like, ‘No, don’t call me that.’ You know it’s that name you don’t want to be called,” he said.
According to him, the nickname continued to gain popularity among his peers, especially after a moment involving his mother.
“One day my mom came to visit me in school and they were like, ‘Yo, Odumodu’s mom is around,’ and she’s like, ‘who’s that?’ And I’m like, ‘that’s what it is.’ Then I started making music,” he added.
Before adopting the now-famous stage name, the rapper said he used the name “T Flows,” which he now considers uninspiring.
“The name I had first was T Flows — whack name. There are probably like a hundred thousand T Flows in the world, but there’s only one Odumodublvck,” he said confidently.
Odumodublvck added that he intentionally chose the name because of its uniqueness, even though his friends mocked it initially.
“When I told my friends that my name’s going to be Odumodu Blvck, they started laughing. I said, ‘yes, that’s the point. That’s the name.’ If I didn’t bear that name till the end of the world, there would never have been another Odumodublvck.”

What I Look Out For When Choosing A Partner – Kiddwaya

Nigerian reality TV star, Kiddwaya has revealed what he wants in a partner.
He made his opinion known in an episode of Off The Record Podcast.
According to him, character and values matter more to him than wealth or social status.
The former Big Brother Naija housemate explained that he prefers someone kind, respectful, and grounded.
He said: “I don’t pick based on background or status. Just be nice, have good energy, and stay grounded. I’m very easy to please when it comes to relationships. You have to believe in God. It doesn’t have to be tied to religion, but there must be a belief in something higher than us.

“The way you speak to a waiter or anyone who’s not on your level says everything about you. Respect should never depend on status. I could wake up and say, ‘Babe, we’re going to Jamaica tomorrow,’ and I want her to say, ‘Let’s go. I just like someone who can match my energy and enjoy the moment,” he added.

I Wasn’t Happy Being African – Tiwa Savage Recalls Growing Up In London

Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has dismissed claims that Afrobeats is currently experiencing its worst run in the past two decades.

Reputable music executives, including Paul Okoye aka Paulo, and DJ Big N, have claimed that Afrobeats is declining in separate interviews and social media posts.

However, speaking at the Unstoppable Africans event recently, Savage boasted that Afrobeats is unstoppable.

She argued that contrary to claims that the genre was declining, it is gaining more grounds on charts and tours.

She also spoke about the cultural impact of Afrobeats, recalling that she used to be unhappy about being an African growing up in London, but the positive image Afrobeats is giving the continent has made her become proud of her race.

The singer noted that Afrobeats has achieved a lot despite not having enough support, structure or infrastructure.

“Afrobeats is the fastest growing genre in the world. We kind of created it with nothing; no support, no infrastructure, no real belief even from our own people initially.

“I remember growing up in London and I was not happy being African. But now I’m so proud because of how big Afrobeats is growing.

“There was a conversation at one point that Afrobeats is going to have its 15 minutes of fame and then fades away. But we are still here. We are not slowing down. In fact, we are filling out stadiums, and we are getting the biggest songs on the charts right now.

“I don’t know how true this is, but apparently one in every four black persons is a Nigerian or an African.

“So, we are not going anywhere. As much as they are trying to quiet us down, the music is not going anywhere. We are Africans and we are unstoppable,” she remarked.

Polygamy Hurts Women, Kids – Nigerian Rapper, Erigga Claims

Popular rapper Erigga has expressed his opinion on polygamy, stating that it negatively affects both women and children.

Speaking from his experience growing up in a polygamous home, the rapper explained that in polygamy, there are always aggrieved parties and most times, the women and children, not the man were involved.

Nigerians Brainwashed, Politics in the Country Is Shambolic – Odumodublvck

Popular Nigerian rapper and singer Tochukwu Ojogwu, known as Odumodublvck has described politics in Nigeria as shambolic.
He stated this while expressing his view on politics in Nigeria.
Speaking in a recent episode of the BET Talks podcast, Odumodublvck explained that power corrupts, stressing that even the impact of a good leader can be compromised by members of his cabinet.
“Politics in Nigeria is a shambolic scene like everywhere in the world. When you gives man power, it never really goes as planned regardless of whether the person is good or bad.
If the person is bad, bad people are going to make him worse. And if the person is good, you will have bad people trying to contaminate the good,” he said.
He lamented that many Nigerians have been “brainwashed” into holding only the President accountable, while ignoring other political officer holders.
“Nigerians have been so brainwashed that when there is a problem, the first thing they think about is the president. You have your local chairman, councillor, senator, who are directly representing you, but you are holding only the president accountable for all the challenges our society is facing. Other public officials should also be held accountable,” he added.

Blaqbonez Reacts to Allegation of Harassing Woman for Rejecting His Romantic Advances

Rapper Emeka Akumefule aka Blaqbonez, has broken his silence after being accused of harassing a woman for rejecting his romantic advances.
The rapper while reacting via his Instagram story, denied the claim.
Recall that the woman’s law firm, Bristol & Mortglass C.S., in a statement on Sunday, alleged that their client suffered emotional distress and continuous online harassment after rejecting the artiste’s romantic advances in December 2024.
Reacting, the rapper said: “Over the past few days, several false and deeply distressing allegations have been circulated online about me. These claims are not only untrue, they are part of a sustained pattern of harassment and intimidation that I have endured for months from certain individuals within the music industry.

“For nearly a year, I have stayed silent and endured repeated bullying, physical assaults, and online attacks, believing that the truth would speak for itself. There comes a point when silence allows falsehoods to spread unchecked. So I am speaking now: I have done nothing wrong.

“At the heart of these stories lies a personal relationship from my past, one that ended respectfully and without conflict. That private chapter has now become entangled with professional rivalries in the music industry.

“What began as a personal matter between two adults has been pulled into a broader feud, reshaped and used as ammunition in a campaign to discredit me publicly. The accusations being pushed are deliberate fabrications designed to damage my name, my work, and everything I’ve built.

“They have caused pain to my family, my team, and those who support me. It’s disheartening to see people weaponise falsehoods for attention and revenge.

“I’m cooperating fully with the authorities to ensure that the truth is established once and for all. I have nothing to hide, and I welcome transparency. I’m also taking steps through my legal team to protect myself against the harassment and defamation I’ve endured over the past year,” he added.

“I’ve worked hard to represent honesty and self-belief in my art. That will not change. The truth will come out, and when it does, I hope this moment reminds everyone that false accusations destroy real lives, and that bullying, whether physical, digital, or psychological, must never be tolerated.

“I won’t allow personal grudges or online hostility to define who I am or distract me from my purpose. The truth is not afraid of light, and that’s where I stand. Thank you to everyone who’s reached out in support. My focus remains on my music, my peace, and clearing my name.”
