Nigerian singer/songwriter, Fireboy DML, has spoken about his experience with senior colleague, Wande Coal.

The YBNL signee stated that Wande Coal had a huge impact on his career.

The ‘Back n Forth’ crooner said he “becomes a child” whenever he is around Wande Coal.

He described his first meeting with Wande Coal as a dream come true.

Speaking in a recent episode of the ‘Is This Seat Taken’ podcast, Fireboy said, “It was a dream at first meeting Wande Coal. I become a child when he is around. He is a legend. So that [meeting him] was a blessing and a surreal moment.”

He reiterated that Wande Coal inspired him to do music.

Fireboy paid tribute to Wande Coal on his eponymous fourth studio album ‘Adedamola’ on a track titled ‘Wande’s Bop.’

Wande Coal Scolds Street Boy Allegedly Begging Him For Money At Lagos Airport

Popular Nigerian singer, Wande Coal has been filmed scolding a certain “street boy” at the airport in Lagos State.

According to “Airport Girl Celebrity”, an airport staff who filmed the incident, the young man was disturbing the singer for money.

Wande Coal seems to have lost patience with the alleged beggar and is seen scolding him for bothering him.

“Hey, fall back,” Wande warned the young man, adding, “You dey talk for my ear nau. I be street boy like you na. Shuu. Why you dey talk for my ear?”

I Brought The New Generation Sounds – Wande Coal

Popular singer Wande Coal has made a new claim.
He claimed that he is the  pioneer of the new sound of Nigerian music.
According to him, he also inspired the current wave of Afrobeats artists gaining global recognition.

In an interview with Cool FM Lagos, Wande Coal confidently stated: “I’m the best at what I do. I’m a legend. I know what I came to this industry to do. I brought the new generation sounds and the new wave of new artists that’s happening now.
 
“I’m happy to be that guy that has done it. Also, I still want to do more. I feel like music never ends. Music is very universal. That’s why there are many genres of music.

“All these sounds I try to fuse them in my music. That’s why none of my songs sound alike. Since I came into industry, I’ve shown versatility in my songs. I also love working with new producers because music never ends,” he added.
Wande Coal’s contributions to the industry are undeniable, with a career spanning over a decade.
He began as a dancer, joined Mo’ Hits Records in 2006 and released his critically acclaimed debut album “Mushin To Mo’Hits” in 2009.
He has won awards, including the Next Rated award at the 2010 Headies, and has been cited as an inspiration by notable artists such as Wizkid, Fireboy DML, and Oxlade.

Wande Coal refuses to include song with Davido in his forthcoming album

Nigerian Pop and Afrobeats star, Wande Coal has reportedly refused to include a song with superstar singer, Davido in his forthcoming album.

He was also said to have left out a song he recorded with rapper Ikechukwu, from the project titled ‘Legend Or No Legend.

This was made known by management and promotion company, The Upper Entertainment in a post on its verified Twitter account.

Though the reason Wande Coal chose to not include the two songs is yet to be disclosed by either him or his management.

TUE shared two videos which showed when the ‘Ololufe’ crooner was recording the tracks with Ikechukwu and Davido separately.

The tweet reads; “Wande coal not including these two songs with ikechukwu & Davido in his forthcoming Album is heartbreaking.

This comes hours after the music sensation declared that he is the best artiste.

Wande took to his Twitter page to brag about being above his peers and noted that he was reiterating an earlier stance.

The singer who has won multiple domestic and international awards also said that his position at the top of the ratings list is not up for debate.

He shared a photo of himself on his Twitter page and wrote; “I REPEAT I’m The Best Artist No Debating 💎🖤”

The ‘Come My Way’ crooner talked about his forthcoming album ‘Legend or No Legend’ in a separate post and said the world needs to hear the tracklist.

Wande added; “The World needs to hear this album 🤯 Give me a few hours let me go and bring my tracklist.”

This comes more than a month after he announced the postponement release ‘Legend or No Legend’

The project was supposed to be released in March but he moved it back after Davido revealed that ‘Timeless’ would drop on March 31, 2023.

‘Legend or No Legend’ will be Wande’s 3rd album. It is coming three years after the release of the EP ‘Realms
