Dangote: Phyna slams critic who berated her for not joining protest in Edo

Reality star, Phyna blows hot as she tackles critic who berated her for not joining Verydarkman to protest over the Dangote truck accidents.

626Blaze recalls that some days ago, Phyna had called out Dangote after his truck hit her sister, making her lose one leg.

Following this, Apostle Johnson Suleman had called out the billionaire again after his truck killed three in Edo state.

Verydarkman had arrived the state to protest these and alleged unpaid medical bills of those who were hit by Dangote trucks.

Phyna shared a screenshot of a DM she received from a netizen who opined that she was nowhere to be found during the protest.

Phyna noted however that she was with her hospitalised sister and couldn’t leave.

The critic said …

VDM deu Edo State dey protest, nobody see you . This girl you are so unbelievable You were crying here and because of VDM men added voice, now VDM is in Edo State, your face is nowhere”

VeryDarkMan storms Auchi, blocks Dangote trucks over unpaid medical bills of accident victim

Social activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), on Monday led a protest in Auchi, Edo State, blocking Dangote trucks from plying the roads until the company takes responsibility for accident victims.

VDM, alongside students of Auchi Polytechnic, demanded justice for Ruth Otabor, sister of BBNaija winner Phyna, whose leg was amputated after she was crushed by a Dangote truck just days after her graduation.

In videos shared online, the activist was seen addressing a large crowd of students, insisting that Dangote must not only settle Ruth’s medical bills but also provide compensation for other victims of similar accidents.

The protest came on the heels of another tragic incident involving a Dangote truck.

Just a day earlier, three people lost their lives near Omega Fire Ministry, Auchi, when a Dangote truck and another vehicle rammed into a Mercedes Benz GLK.

Reacting to the incident, Apostle Johnson Suleman, General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministry, condemned the tragedy, describing it as “an avoidable loss of lives caused by reckless driving.”

VDM, angered by the recurring crashes, vowed that Dangote trucks would not be allowed to ply Auchi roads until justice is served and adequate compensation is given to the victims.

Police Begin Investigation Into Killing Of Two Voters In Edo

Gov Godwin Obaseki of Edo state has disclosed that the police have begun investigation into the killing of two voters in the state during the presidential and National Assembly elections held on Saturday, February 25.

Festus Idahosa, 33; and Mrs Elizabeth Owie, 43, were killed during an attack at a voting centre in Upper Sakpoba area, Ikpoba Okha Local Government, Edo South Senatorial District.

He said, “It’s very sad as the young man came to perform his civic responsibility and duties and his life was cut short because of people’s perception of what power should be.

“It’s sad that this sort of electoral violence still happens at this stage of our development. As a government, we would put all measures in place to find out the perpetrators and find out what truly happened and make sure appropriate steps are taken for us to get to justice.

“I was told that the investigation is in top gear but we need to wait for a few more days and hear what the police need to say about the incidents.”
