Celebrities react to Lekki toll gate massacre reports

The reports 309-page report which confirms the Lekki Toll gate shooting during the #Endsars protest n Lagos in October 20 2020 after almost 13 months were published out for the public after an official submission to the Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo olu.

The reports showed several people were missing and dead which attracted a reaction from celebrities like the hero during the sad event D switch, Falz, Okon, Burna Boy, Davido, and Reno Omokri who even requsted for an apology called for justice.

Burna Boy,Fela inspires me – Super Eagles defender Troost Ekong

The Dutch born Nigerian defender was speaking to the official Watford FC website on the Black History Month, which is a special month (October) set aside to amplify the work of black people and recognize their achievements in our society.

Ekong revealed is inspired by Burna Boy’s song, he called him the modern day Fela because of the messages in his song.

“His music inspires me, maybe like a modern-day Fela because he also has very strong messages in his music and I love what he stands for. He has a great connection with the UK and coming from Nigerian heritage, he’s someone I can relate to.” he said.

The Watford defender also praised Fela as the pioneer of Afrobeats and he respects his individualism and great music he made.
