Adekunle, the Big Brother Naija reality star, has explained that he won’t consider rekindling his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Venita Akpofure.
Speaking in a recent interview with YouTuber Olufemi Daniel, Adekunle stated that their relationship had ended and he isn’t open to rekindling his affair with the actress.
Adekunle revealed that their relationship didn’t last beyond the Big Brother house, adding that he didn’t know Venita outside the house.
He said, “This is the first time in so long that I’ve spoken about Venita. Coming into the house was the very first time in my life I knew about Venita. I didn’t get the opportunity to know her outside the house. Whatever we had didn’t last outside the house. The only memory that I have of her is the one we shared in the house.”
The host asked, “If there’s ever an opportunity, would you give another shot at dating Venita if both of you decided to sit face-to-face and talk about it?”
Adekunle replied, “I can sit face-to-face with her, that’s not a problem, but because of everything that has happened, I would not want to give another shot at her.
“A lot of bad things happened. There could have been a better way to resolve issues from her part.”
Recall that Adekunle and Venita were an item in the Big Brother Naija All-Stars edition of the reality show last year.
Funke Akindele, the popular Nollywood actress and producer, has urged ladies to be enterprising.
In a recent interview with Arise TV, the record-breaking filmmaker admonished women to embrace entrepreneurship regardless of their conditions.
She emphasized that women don’t have to rely on men to be successful.
Akindele also urged young ladies to be content and focused on their goals instead of envying others and living above their means.
She said, “Whatever you have, just start something. Move. Don’t wait for the big opportunity. Even if it’s petty business, just start something.
“As a young girl out there, who says women can’t make money? Who says women can’t have money when we have the Folorunsho Alakijas? They are made, they are okay. The other day, I was telling myself that I have to work harder to be as rich as the Alakijas. Who says you can’t have money? You don’t have to rely on a man to make it.
“You have to stay focused. The little you have, manage it. Don’t be greedy. Don’t look at what your neighbors have and say you want to have what they have. When the time comes for you to have luxurious things, you’ll have them.
“I used to buy my handbags from ‘bend down select.’ I would wash and iron them and slay with them. Even with the cheap bags, I still felt good. Just believe in yourself. And watch what you feed yourself with.
“Content that would drive you crazy, people that would say things that would upset you, toxic people—avoid them. Because you’re growing in a new space. It’s what you feed yourself with that matters. It really matters because if you feed yourself with negativity, at the end of the day you would believe you can’t do it because you’re not pretty enough.”
The famous Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane, has continued to call out his colleague, Davido, despite a cease and desist order served him.
On Friday, the DMW boss threatened to sue Krane for alleged defamation of character and cyberbullying. This was after Krane took to X to accuse him of being a “murderer” and “cheat”.
Through his legal representatives, Davido issued a cease and desist letter to Krane while denying his claims.
Chikaosolu Ojukwu, Davido’s legal representative, said Krane’s allegations “are unverified, false, and outlandish”. The lawyer described Krane’s post as “malicious, orchestrated to defame and injure the reputation of Davido”.
Krane was also asked to delete the tweet on Davido within 24 hours or face legal action, including damages and injunctive relief.
“Immediately refrain from any further publication of defamatory statements against our client on any platform whatsoever,” the statement from Davido’s lawyer read in part.
“Take notice that your failure to comply with these demands within the stipulated timeframe will compel our client to pursue all available legal remedies, including but not limited to initiating legal proceedings against you for damages and injunctive relief, and escalating this matter to the relevant law enforcement agencies.”
He however persisted, as he shared footage of a police officer discussing the circumstances surrounding the death of Tagbo, a friend of Davido.
“Btw I’m not deleting any tweet. Stand ten toes on my word. The truth is the light. Justice for Tagbo,” he wrote.
The singers have not been on good terms since 2022 after Krane accused Davido of unpaid debts.
