I Have Not Been The Best Dad Lately – 2face Idibia Admits

Legendary Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, has acknowledged that he has fallen short in his responsibilities as a father.

The singer, who has eight children from four different women, disclosed this in a recent episode of the Mic On podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye.

2Baba said he wants to do better as a father, stressing the importance of a present father figure in children’s upbringing.

He, however, noted that he wishes to keep his personal life private.

“I want to really contribute to society positively. I want to be among those who make something meaningful happen. I want to contribute my own little quota to help society.

“I have not been the best daddy. I want to do more. However, privacy is very important,” he said.

2Face has two children with his first baby mama Sumbo Ajaba-Adeoye, three with his second baby mama Pero Adeniyi, two with his ex-wife Annie Macaulay, and one with his current wife Natasha Osawaru.

Nollywood Actor, Timini Egbuson Buries Father (Photos)

Timini Egbuson, the Nollywood actor, and his sister, Dakore Akande, have buried their father.

Recall that earlier in January, Timini announced the passing of their father in a heartfelt message, admitting that he never imagined beginning the year with such a loss.

On his Instagram page on Friday, Timini shared photos from the private final farewell ceremony, attended only by close family members.

Timini stated that they had said their last goodbye, describing his father as a source of strength and love.

He said, “We said our final goodbyes. Rest well, Papa.

“Your strength and love will always guide me.”

Police Probe Officers Over Alleged Assault On Nollywood Actor, Ijoba Lande

The Lagos State Police Command has begun an investigation into the alleged assault of popular actor and content creator Ijoba Lande by some police officers.

Lande, who recently returned to Nigeria from the United Kingdom, took to social media to accuse the officers of physically assaulting him and his friend, seizing his iPhone 16 Pro Max and $1,200, said to belong to his brother.

In a viral video, Lande appeared visibly wounded, with blood stains on his face and shirt, while recounting the incident. Surrounded by friends who urged him to report the matter, he described the attack as life-threatening.

“I nearly lost my life,” he said in the emotional clip shared online, which sparked public outrage and reignited conversations around police brutality and abuse of power.

Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, stated on Friday via 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) that the officers involved had been identified and brought in for questioning.

Adebisi said, “The officers involved have been identified and brought forward to the Command for investigation.

“At the moment, both the officers, the actor, and his friend are giving their statements. Further developments will be communicated accordingly.”

She did not provide further details regarding the timeline or nature of the incident, but assured the public that the matter was being treated with seriousness.

Portable Met Me At A Young Age And Took Advantage Of My Innocence – Actress Ashabi Opens Up (Video)

Ashabi Simple, the Yoruba Nollywood actress and filmmaker, has accused Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, of exploiting her because of her younger age.

Ashabi made this known during an interview on Oyinmomo TV on YouTube.

Asked whether Portable had promised to marry her, Ashabi said she would not have entered into a relationship with the singer if he had not made that promise.

Ashabi, who revealed she witnessed positive career growth after meeting the Zeh Nation label boss, described him as a caring person despite his controversial lifestyle.

The thespian stated that Portable has ten children, stressing that they are no longer together as she needed to see for herself if she could be successful without him.

Speaking in Yoruba, Ashabi Simple said in part, “Portable chanced me, he saw me at my younger age and took advantage of it, and he used to be a caring person.

“Portable has 10 children at age 32 and mine is 2 out of them.”

When asked if she could go back to the singer, Ashabi refused to give a definite response.

Ashabi Simple also stated that she opted for a polygamous marriage because the nature of her job would not allow time with her husband.

Nollywood Actor, Timini Egbuson Opens Up On Father’s Death, Personal Regrets (Video)

Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has reflected on his career, personal loss, and past relationships, revealing that grief influenced how he entered 2026.

Speaking in a recent interview with media personality JayonAir on Tuesday, Egbuson said he changed the image of actors in Nollywood by bringing confidence and a new swagger into the industry.

“There was a certain way actors were back in the day, but then I came and made it look cool. I was a cool guy before Nollywood. I brought confidence and jealousy. Whether they admit it or not, everybody is using my playbook,” he said.

The actor said 2025 was a fantastic year, and he was optimistic about 2026 until tragedy struck.

“On the 1st of January, I found out that I lost my dad. I really had to deal with this type of grief,” he said, describing it as his first experience losing a close family member.

Egbuson added that the loss was more painful because he and his father did not share the best relationship.

“That was one thing I wanted to work on in 2026. I prioritised work so much that I should have been more available,” he said.

He also spoke about regrets in his love life, admitting a past relationship still weighs on him.

“She’s married now. I don’t know if you have more than one soulmate, but I’m convinced that she was my soulmate. All she wanted was for me to be present,” he said.

According to him, the experience taught him that money is not everything.

“Money is just one out of many things that matter,” he said.

When asked if he still thinks about having his own family, he replied, “All the time,” adding that he would not repeat past mistakes.

“She’ll be priority. She is. She’ll be priority,” he said.

The actor announced his father’s death on Instagram, sharing photos of his late dad.

The thespian was buried on Thursday according to Islamic rite amid tears and prayers from family members, colleagues, and residents of her community.

Videos from the burial ceremony, which surfaced online, showed mourners gathered around Aunty Ajara’s grave as a Muslim cleric conducted the Islamic burial rites.

Her burial marks the final farewell to an actress many described as humble and hardworking, whose contributions to Nollywood will be remembered.

Recall that the movie star had been critically ill, and her colleagues, Wunmi Toriola, Foluke Daramola, Mama Nonetwork and many others had been soliciting donations from the public towards her treatment.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, Nollywood actor, TeeMony, announced that Aunty Ajara had passed away on February 5, 2026.
