Certificate Fraud: Save Us From Disgrace, Allow Atiku Access To Your Academic Documents – APC Chieftain Tells Tinubu

members of the ruling party from disgrace and free himself from the looming global bad record.

President Bola Tinubu has been begged to allow Atiku Abubakar, the flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 presidential election, to have access to his academic record at Chicago State University (CSU) to save the country from embarassment.
The call was made by Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers state.
In an interview with The Sun, the APC chieftain in Rivers State said President Tinubu would save members of the ruling party from disgrace and free himself from the looming global bad record if he allowed Atiku to have access to his academic record at the Chicago State University.
The former national publicity secretary of the defunct New PDP and member Rotimi Amaechi’s camp in the APC made the comment while reacting to the alleged identity fraud about President Bola Tinubu’s academic record in the university.
Eze, a known loyalist of the former minister of transportation, who contested against President Tinubu for the APC presidential ticket during the party’s primary in 2023, said the president is hiding under the privacy rights of the United States, which is extended to his academic records as well.
According to Eze, Tinubu keeping his academic records was a ploy to frustrate any investigation into his claim that he graduated from CSU, where the certificate he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
His comment reads in part: “But, the court, in its wisdom, ruled that the interest of Atiku Abubakar in obtaining Tinubu’s records from CSU outweighs his (Tinubu’s) privacy rights because by submitting his diploma to INEC, he has put his certificate to issue.”

BREAKING: NLC, TUC To Embark On Nationwide Strike From October 3

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have agreed to embark on a nationwide strike from Tuesday, October 3, 2023.

The decision was reached by the organised Labour Unions on Tuesday after the failure of the Federal Government to successfully implement policies to alleviate the sufferings of Nigerians.

The organised labour unions had made demands from the Federal Government following the removal of the subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit.

Among other things, the NLC and the TUC are asking for wage awards, implementation of palliatives, tax exemptions and allowances to public sector workers and a review of the minimum wage.

The National President of NLC, Joe Ajaero during a virtual National Executive Council meeting which was held on Zoom, Tuesday told members of NEC that a meeting was held with the officials of the TUC to deliberate on ways forward.

Ajaero noted that it was resolved that the two centres work together to make their stance known to the government.

A source who was present at the meeting who spoke with Punch noted that some members of the NLC initially objected to the development of the NLC working together with the TUC.

The source said, “Initially some members did not want us to work with the TUC but as of now, we don’t have a choice. The government has not been proactive. So it is going to be a definite action this time around.” my

INEC Is The Headquarters Of Fraud In Nigeria – Adebayo

Prince Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), in the 2023 polls has opined that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is the headquarters of fraud in the country.

He stated this on Tuesday during an interaction with a cross-section of Nigerians in an online interactive forum HaveYourSay247, moderated by Rudolf Okonkwo.

Adebayo recalled how he warned stakeholders about the insincerity of the electoral umpire months before the February 25 presidential election, stressing that INEC was just fooling everyone with its promise to transmit results electronically.

The legal practitioner questioned how anyone could trust INEC to conduct a credible election when one can’t go to them to register a political party, file reports or invite them to party conventions without inducing them with money.

“INEC is the headquarters of fraud
,” he declared.

Commenting on his campaigns during the election, Adewole said he went to the nooks and crannies of the country and that even great Nigerians like Obafemi Awolowo and Nnamdi Azikiwe, at the height of their popularity, did not succeed in becoming president.

“The world hasn’t had more than nine people like Zik, yet he couldn’t win the election to become president of Nigeria,”
he argued.

Speaking further on why he didn’t challenge the outcome of the presidential election in court, the SDP candidate said that it would have been a waste of time as not every wrong can be remedied by a court.

He said: “The court is not a place you go and complain in general terms.

“99% of wrongs in society cannot be remedied by the court. When you approach the court, you have to narrow your complaints down to specific legal issues. This is something that election petitioners must understand.”

African Countries Will Remain In Chains Until They Break Free From Drug Barons – Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has kicked against drug barons.
He said Africa will not move forward until they break free from drug barons.
Tinubu went ahead to task the national drug law enforcement agencies in Africa to consolidate the fight against substance abuse and illicit drug trafficking in their respective countries.
The President warned vehemently that the African continent would remain in chains till it breaks free from the shackles of the criminal enterprises of drug barons and syndicates of illicit drugs.
He sounded the warning in Abuja on Tuesday while declaring open the 31st meeting of the Heads of National Drug Law Enforcement Agencies, Africa (HONLAF) at the Abuja Continental Hotel.
“If we don’t dismantle the criminal enterprises that threaten our future and build a brighter tomorrow for all Africans, we will likely remain in chains in a diseased and amoral world, as will our children and their children,” Tinubu warned.

In his keynote address titled, ‘Rising Above the Drug Threat’, the President who was represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the event, observed that Africa was “at the mercy of a threat that knows neither race nor geography, neither gender nor social class”.

To this effect, he enjoined the heads of drug law enforcement agencies to consider the conference in Abuja as a ray of hope and a catalyst for positive change across the continent.
Tinubu thanked the officials for their sacrifices in ensuring a world that is free of illicit drugs.
He said, “This threat has crossed borders and destroyed societies and dreams. Without the moral commitment of the men and women in this room, this threat would have left cities, countries, and even civilizations erased. So, I must commend you for your sacrifices in the bids to keep our world drug-free, sane and safe.

“This conference emphasizes your investment across borders to protect us from the devastations of drugs, a threat that only submits to the enforcement of the law.

“Therefore, we are grateful to HONLAF and its partners, notably the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, for creating this avenue, for offering intelligence and drug law enforcement officials a grand opportunity to compare notes, collaborate, and build networks that would be several steps ahead of the criminal network of drug transnational organizations.”

The President expressed regrets that in the last couple of decades, criminal organisations had made frantic efforts to breach security measures in African countries, all in a bid to pollute the minds of their citizens, adding however that the anti-narcotics agencies have proven to be a thorn in their flesh.
Tinubu, who doubles as the chairman of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), stated: “But while it’s a compliment that drug-law enforcement organizations are a threat to their criminal empires, their desperation must never be taken for granted.”
