Binance CEO Tops 2024 Crypto Billionaires List

The founder and former CEO of crypto exchange Binance, Changpeng Zhao is now crypto’s wealthiest person.
He achieved this for the third year running as Forbes unveils crypto bigwigs.
Popularly known as CZ, Zhao is now worth an estimated $33 billion, up from $10.5 billion last year and the 50th-wealthiest person in the world.
Despite pleading guilty to U.S. money laundering charges in November, Forbes reported that CZ who is now the biggest crypto gainer in dollar terms since last year made a bulk of his fortune from his majority stake in Binance, which remains the industry’s largest global trading venue by volume.
Also, the CEO of MicroStrategy, Michael Saylor’s net worth has surged to an estimated $4.4 billion, compared to $760 million the previous year, thanks to MicroStrategy’s heavy investments in Bitcoin.
Similarly, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong’s net worth hit an estimated $11.2bn, up from $2.2 billion, buoyed by the impressive performance of Coinbase’s shares, which have more than quadrupled over the past 12 months.

I’ve Received My BBNaija Prize Money – Ilebaye Says

Ilebaye Odiniya, the Big Brother Naija Season 8 winner, has revealed that she has received her prize money from the organisers.

Recall that Ilebaye pocketed N120 million after she won the All-Star edition of the reality show in October last year.

In a recent Instagram live session with fans, she confirmed that she has received the prize money.

Her revelation came after Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Phyna called out the organisers, claiming that she has not yet received the N100 million she won from the show in 2022.

Ilebaye said, “I have received my [BBNaija prize] money. I haven’t even touched tiny part of it. My money haven’t finished. I haven’t touched my prize money. And this is a fact.”

I Want A Daughter But Have Three Sons – Actor Deyemi Okanlawon

Popular Nollywood actor, Deyemi Okanlawon has opened up about his experience as a father to three boys.

He shared his journey on the latest episode of the King of Talks podcast with Teju Babyface.

He also talked about how he wanted a daughter that would steal his heart but he is still hopeful.

He said;

“I told my wife that I only have men inside me and I have the energy for them. Especially now that my wife is out of town with the baby and I’m left with the boys, we’ve been giving each other gbas gbos,” he said in between laughter.

“When we found out that we were having a baby, I wished it was a girl but I realised that ‘man, she’s just going to steal my heart and my time and I won’t be able to take my eyes away from her.’ When we found out it was a boy we were like ‘Okay, God knows what he wants but never say never,” he said.

Teju Babyface also asked the actor about the cost implications of having three children.

“Listen, there’s the kind of money that you’d have that the number of children you want to have won’t be a problem. If you have assets worth $10 million and you’re generating 5-10 per annum, how much do you want to spend on kids? Why are we limiting ourselves? It’s fun raising beautiful human beings and guiding, teaching them and just loving them and being loved in return,” he explained.

Popular Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky has splashed over N19 million to acquire a Frank Muller diamond wristwatch.

Bobrisky, who was recently on the headlines for winning the Best Dressed Female in a movie premiere, bought a diamond wrist watch worth $15k (N19 million).

His dealer, identified as @g.aboki broke the news of the crossdresser’s latest acquisition on his Instagram page.

Captioning the video he shared, he wrote: “Only mommy of Lagos guys can u check the Franck muller she buy $15,000 ❤️ thanks I really appreciate 💯💯”

Davido unfollows Rexxie following mockery about not having a Grammy

Famous Afrobeat singer, Davido Adeleke unfollows the record producer, Rexxie on Instagram following a subtle mockery regarding the Grammys.

This came following a statement made by the producer on the X platform, bragging about his status in the music industry.

Rexxie, who asserted that he received nominations for his production work on Burna Boy’s Grammy-winning album ‘Twice As Tall‘ and the Grammy-nominated song ‘Do Yourself’ by Angelique Kidjoand Burna Boy, proudly mentioned to a Davido fan on Twitter that he had been nominated for a Grammy before Davido.

He also mentioned receiving the “Gra” before stopping short, leaving the statement incomplete.

“Before your fav get Grammy I’ve already gotten it. I no use sympathy or dance with kids on uniform or attend the show early with my full squad and family members. Respect!” he stated in a now-deleted post.

Following the back and forth on X before Rexxie finally decided to delete the posts, Davido took it up and unfollowed the producer across social media platforms.

Wunmi must do DNA test – Mohbad’s mother

Mohbad’s mother, Abosede insists that the singer’s wife, Wunmi must do a DNA test after she vowed never to carry out any DNA test on her son, Liam.

It would be recalled that Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi went on a ranting spree, vowing never to do any DNA test on her son while maintaining that nobody has the right to make her do the test.

Mohbad’s mother has noted, in a recent interview, that she cannot support her daughter-in-law until she carries out the test on Liam.

Furthermore, she urged Nigerians to stay out of the issue concerning the DNA test as it is their family matter, and not a public one.

“Nigerians should not be concerned about DNA issue, it was supposed to be a family issue. I insisted on it from the onset. It was Mohbad’s father that publicized the issue.

Famous singer, Ayra Starr expresses her excitement following the completion of a borehole installation at Orimolade Ifako Community.

As part of her “E dey rush” campaign which kicked off last year, Ayra Starr is excited to see the community getting their borehole installation after lacking water for over 20 years.

Since everyone deserves access to clean, safe water, the campaign’s goal was to supply communities with it.

She expressed her gratitude to Hope Spring Water and Mavin Records, her collaborators, for helping to make it a success.
