This Is Becoming Too Much – Israel DMW Cries Out Over Rising Kidnappings In Edo

Davido’s logistics manager, Israel DMW has decried the growing wave of kidnappings in Edo State.
The socialite while raising an alarm, called on the state government to tackle the matter.
He also shared a video on his Instagram page showing a young woman who had been abducted by gunmen.
In the footage, the woman appeared frightened and tearful as she pleaded for help while her captors demanded ransom.
He wrote: “This is becoming too much. The Federal Government should please come to our aid in Edo State.”

Naira Rises To N1,495/$ In Parallel Market

The Naira strengthened in the parallel market yesterday, appreciating to ₦1,495 per dollar from ₦1,500 per dollar recorded on Monday.

But the Naira depreciated to N1,464.5 per dollar in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM).

Data published by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, showed that the exchange rate for the naira rose to N1,464.5 per dollar from N1,464 per dollar on Monday, indicating 50 kobo depreciation for the naira.

Consequently, the margin between the parallel market and NFEM rate narrowed to N35.5 per dollar from N36 per dollar on Monday.

BREAKING: ASUU Suspends 2-Week Warning Strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has called off the two-week warning strike it declared last week across public universities nationwide.

ASUU made the announcement on Wednesday at a press conference held at its headquarters in Abuja.

President of ASUU, Chris Piwuna, who read a prepared speech before newsmen, explained that the development followed the intervention of the Senate and some other well-meaning Nigerians.

However, he said the National Executive Council of the union resolved to give the government a one-month window to address all contending issues.

“So, it’s expensive. Also, because I have a business that requires constant restocking, it’s very, very overwhelming.”

Shank Comics Calls Out Car Dealer Over N123m Refund

Skitmaker, Shank Comics has accused car dealer, Abana Cars of refusing to refund him N123 millon after selling him a faulty Mercedes AMG Coup.
Shank took to social media to call out Abana Cars, revealing that he has failed to refund him after two months.
Shank explained that he bought the car in July 2025 as a personal gift but noticed mechanical problems immediately upon its arrival in Lagos. The dealer initially claimed it was a minor fan issue and took the vehicle for repairs. However, a week later, Shank discovered the car had a more serious brainbox (ECU) fault.
Though both parties agreed on a full refund of N123 million, Shank says he has yet to receive his money three months on.
Calling out Abana Cars, Shank said:
“I didn’t drive the car once! When it got to Lagos, I noticed the issue. I complained, Abana said it was a small fan problem. I said okay, fix it. Bring it back. One week later, we found out the car had a brainbox issue. We agreed on a refund of 123M. It’s been almost three months. You’re telling me nonsense! You keep tagging someone else to answer me. I need my money now. I’m coming to ABJ @abanacars.”

Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi, has opened up about the challenges of adjusting to life in the spotlight, revealing that the pressure to always look glamorous has been one of her biggest struggles.

Speaking at a recent public event, the reality star revealed that transitioning into life as a public figure has not been easy, emphasising that one of the biggest challenges is having to wear makeup frequently.

Imisi explained that she dislikes having products on her face or body hair, noting that she has always preferred a natural and simple look.

However, as a public figure, she now feels the pressure to maintain a polished appearance.

“I’d say having to put on makeup each time I step out, maybe for an event like this, really isn’t my thing. I don’t like things on my face, and I even hate hairs on my body.

“So this is something I really need to adjust to. Honestly, I think I look good without all that, but because of what you’re trying to portray and how people expect you to appear, you’ve got to keep your hair, makeup, and nails done,” she said.
