UCL: Diaz shines, then self-destructs as 10-man Bayern beat PSG

Bayern Munich secured a crucial 2-1 Champions League win over defending champions Paris Saint-Germain at Parc des Princes on Tuesday, despite being reduced to ten men before halftime.

Former Liverpool winger Luis Diaz was both hero and villain, scoring twice in the first half before being sent off for a reckless tackle on Achraf Hakimi.

Diaz shines, then self-destructs

Bayern made a blistering start, taking the lead inside four minutes when Diaz pounced on a rebound after Michael Olise’s shot was parried by Lucas Chevalier.

The German side dominated play and nearly doubled their advantage through Aleksandar Pavlovic and Serge Gnabry, who struck both posts in one attempt.

Diaz eventually got his second, dispossessing Marquinhos and calmly slotting home. Bayern appeared in full control until disaster struck moments before halftime, Diaz launched into a dangerous two-footed challenge on Hakimi, earning a straight red after VAR review.

PSG rally but fall short

With Bayern down to ten, PSG pressed relentlessly after the break. Luis Enrique introduced Goncalo Ramos and Joao Neves to tilt the balance, and Neves eventually pulled one back with a superb volley from Kang-in Lee’s cross.

Despite sustained pressure and several late chances, including another Neves header that went narrowly wide, PSG couldn’t break down Bayern’s disciplined defense.

Real’s key men, Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe, were effectively neutralized by Liverpool’s high press and physical dominance in midfield. Arne Slot’s tactical discipline ensured the Spanish side never settled into rhythm.

Former Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold, now with Real Madrid, was introduced late in the game but received a hostile reception from fans who once idolized him.

His brief cameo did little to alter the outcome as Real remained second best until the final whistle.

Sowore Breaks Silence After Being Declared Wanted

Nigerian publisher and activist, Omoyele Sowore has broken his silence after being declared wanted by the Lagos State Police.
Reacting, he accused the police force of targeting him following a failed ambush.
In a post on Facebook, Sowore wrote:
“In 1994, then-Lagos Police Commissioner James Danbaba, in connivance with the Vice-Chancellor and authorities at the University of Lagos, orchestrated an attempt on my life using campus gangs.
 
When this attempt failed, he declared me wanted after violently arresting all the student union leaders and falsely charging them for armed robbery. They also expelled us from UNILAG. Danbaba was later arrested alongside Major Al Mustapha for his role in aiding General Sani Abacha in several deadly attacks on opposition figures including Kudirat Abiola and Alex Ibru. He died a miserable death years later!”
Sowore added that Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, is “appearing to follow a similar dangerous path,” claiming that officers were sent to ambush him today and, when the attempt failed, the police issued a wanted notice.
The Lagos State Police declared him wanted in connection with plans to disrupt public peace and obstruct traffic on the Third Mainland Bridge during protests over demolitions at Oworonshoki. Police Commissioner Moshood Jimoh said Sowore and others were under investigation for their alleged role in the unrest.
Sowore described the move as politically motivated, saying, “I was informed that he dispatched police officers to ambush me today. When this attempt failed, they declared me wanted.”
He also noted that several attempts to reach the police commissioner for clarification went unanswered, adding that he intends to meet with him to resolve the issue.

Nigeria’s Situation Has Been Depressing For Me – Falz Laments

Nigerian music artist and activist, Folarin Falana aka Falz has revealed he gets depressed thinking about Nigeria’s situation.
According to him, the increasing tribal and religious dichotomy in the country has been disturbing him.
The music star disclosed this while reacting to a tweet by his colleague Nasboi urging Nigerians to put their tribal and religious differences aside and hold their leaders accountable.
“We’ve really kept quiet in this country. Reminiscing stories like ‘snake swallowing money.’ These politicians really take us for granted. busy stealing money they cannot finish on earth. It’s time to put our tribes and religions aside. Put this Country first,” Nasboi wrote.
Reacting, Falz said Nigerians need to start thinking for themselves and stop letting politicians divide them along tribal and religious lines.
“I cannot begin to explain how depressing it has been in recent years, seeing tribal and religious sentiments still being used to turn us against each other. At some point we need to start thinking for ourselves,” he wrote.
He made the call against the backdrop of the recent supremacy debate between Christian and Muslim youths on social media following US President Donald Trump’s threat to take military action against Nigeria to rescue Christians from alleged genocidal attacks by Islamic terrorists.

The highest paid-footballer in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo has stated that his rival, Lionel Messi is not better than him.
He also made it clear that Messi is Not the greatest footballer of all time.
The Al Nassr captain stated this while speaking in a new interview with British journalist Piers Morgan.
The 40-year-old Portuguese star said he does not agree with those who rank the Argentine ahead of him.
“Messi better than me? I don’t agree with that opinion,” Ronaldo said. “I don’t want to be humble.”
For nearly two decades, football fans and pundits have been divided over who truly deserves the GOAT title between the two legends.

Both players have won numerous titles for club and country, but while Ronaldo has lifted the Ballon d’Or five times, Messi holds the record with eight wins.

Court Orders Odumodublvck To Appear Over False Statement Against Chocolate City Music

A Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Abuja has summoned Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck to appear before it.
This followed allegation of criminal intimidation filed against him by Olayinka Osagie Onobun, Head of A&R at Chocolate City Music.
In a summons dated November 3, 2025, and obtained by TheCable Lifestyle, Chief Magistrate Farida Ibrahim ordered Odumodublvck to appear before the court on November 6, 2025, to respond to the charges filed against him.
Onobun, who also manages rapper Blaqbonez, accused Odumodublvck of intimidating him through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).
His counsel, Pelumi Olajengbesi, petitioned the court, urging a thorough investigation and possible prosecution, alleging that Odumodublvck’s actions were intended to instill fear.
“The defendant has, by his actions, threatened the complainant with injury to his person in order to cause fear,” Olajengbesi stated in the petition.
“These cumulative acts constitute criminal intimidation, contrary to and punishable under Sections 396 and 397 of the Penal Code Act, Cap 532, Laws of the FCT, Nigeria, 2006.”
Following the petition, Magistrate Ibrahim directed the rapper to appear in person to answer the allegations.
This development comes amid Odumodublvck’s recent online clashes with members of the Chocolate City camp, including Morin Oluwatobi, manager of Blaqbonez, and Jude ‘MI’ Abaga, the label’s veteran rapper.
Over the weekend, Odumodublvck accused MI of hypocrisy for “sitting on the fence” amid ongoing disputes within the hip-hop community.
Earlier today, the rapper posted that the past few weeks have been “heavy,” claiming he and his friends have been “painted in terrible lights” and that a “deeply personal issue” has been “twisted into something it is not.”

Regina Daniels’ Brother, Sweezy’s Partner Confirms His Arrest (Video)

Sweezy’s partner has confirmed his arrest by police officers.
The confirmation was made after actress Regina Daniels took to social media to accuse her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko of using police officers to assault and arrest her brother and sister.
In a post shared on social media, the woman recounted that the officer initially posed as a prospective house buyer before attempting to detain Sweezy. She claimed that the officer engaged her husband in a brief conversation and then suddenly tried to arrest him after asking for his name.
According to her, the same policeman also made an attempt to arrest Regina Daniels’ elder sister, which attracted the attention of onlookers and resulted in a large crowd gathering at the scene.
She alleged that when the officer was confronted by bystanders and questioned about the reason for the arrest, he could not provide any justification.
The latest accusation follows a series of heated exchanges between the Daniels family and Senator Nwoko, with earlier claims by Regina’s brother, Sweezy, and their mother, Rita Daniels, alleging intimidation and wrongful targeting by the politician.
As of the time of this report, Senator Ned Nwoko has not publicly responded to the allegations.

In a separate video, Rita Daniels was seen expressing anger over the alleged incident, saying her daughter once supported Nwoko’s senatorial campaign with $50,000, accusing him of betrayal and pride.

My daughter supported your senatorial election with $50,000. We are covering you up and making you feel like an Odogwu — you’re mad.”
In the same post, Sweezy captioned the video: “Dey stress my mama no be your fault. We all go mad. I’ve never seen where violence is used to make peace. Pride wan kill you. Bring your ego down and say sorry.”
Recall that tensions erupted between Rita Daniels’ family and Senator Nwoko after her son’s purported arrest, though details surrounding the cause of the arrest remain unclear.
