Mayorkun Reacts to Teni’s Bold Marriage Proposal

Popular Nigerian singer, Mayorkun has reacted after  fellow artist Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, openly proposed to him.
She had expressed her desire to marry Mayorkun.
Recall that Teni had expressed desire to marry Mayorkun after spotting his photo from Davido’s wedding, where notable celebrities, including rapper Dremo, were in attendance.
Upon spotting Mayorkun in the photo, Teni boldly declared her intentions.
She wrote;
“Na me go still marry mayor.”
In response to Teni’s light-hearted marriage proposal, Mayorkun humorously replied, “Teni you no kill me,”

National Anthem: I Will Miss ‘Arise, O Compatriots’ – Singer, Teni Says

Teniola Apata, the popular Nigerian singer, who is simply known as Teni, has reacted to the change of Nigeria’s national anthem.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday signed the National Anthem Bill 2024 into law to reinstate the old anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.”

Reacting, Teni said she would miss the replaced National Anthem, “Arise, O Compatriots.”

She noted that she made so many childhood memories with the former anthem.

On her X handle, Teni wrote: “Arise o compatriots, I’ll miss you, thank you for so many childhood memories. till we meet again, love SM.”

‘Arise, O compatriots’ was adopted as Nigeria’s National Anthem in 1978.

The lyrics were composed by John A. Ilechukwu, Eme Etim Akpan, B. A. Ogunnaike, Sota Omoigui and P. O. Aderibigbe.

The anthem was performed by the Nigeria Police Band under the directorship of B. E. Odiasse.

By the implication of the National Anthem Bill 2024 which was recently signed into law by President Tinubu, ‘Arise, O compatriots’ has now officially been replaced by the old anthem, ‘Nigeria, We Hail Thee’ as Nigeria’s National Anthem.

Teni, the singer Teniola Apata, has learned to love herself.

She extolled her attractiveness in a post on her Instagram feed.

She confessed that she doesn’t compete with anyone due to her attractiveness.

“Those who finely pass me no pass one and the person na still me, i finely pass myself, nobody fine reach me, na me be my competition,” she said.

Teni was shown in the video showing off her attractive face before licking her lips to convey how charming she is.

Afrobeats sensation Teni Apata has voiced her dissatisfaction with the way her enemies feed her in her dreams.

The “Malaika” crooner disclosed that in a recent dream, her enemies served her food, but it was a letdown.

According to her, they presented a plate of rice with only one turkey, which she found inadequate for a celebrity like herself.

In a video, she issued a warning to them, urging them to step up their game this year and enhance the garnishment in their dreamt-up meals.

Teni captioned: “If you give me fried rice for dream, put plenty turkey and dodo abeg.”

Teni Named Spotify’s ‘EQUAL Africa’ Artiste For August

Nigerian musician, Teni has been named Spotify’s ‘EQUAL Africa’ artiste for August.
According to the music streaming service, EQUAL is Spotify’s program aimed at highlighting and amplifying the voices of African female artistes.
On Monday, Phiona Okumu, Spotify’s head of music for sub-Saharan Africa, said Teni’s unique style, dedication, and growing fanbase make her an inspiration in the music industry.
Okumu added Teni is one of the most sought-after names in the African music sphere.
“We are delighted to have Teni as our EQUAL Africa programme ambassador for August,” she said.
“The uniqueness of her music, dedication to her craft and growing fandom truly spotlights her as an inspiration in the African music scene.
 
“Celebrating Teni and her musical journey definitely aligns with our commitment to recognising the unique experiences of female artistes through their music; from all corners of the continent.
 
“Teni’s selection as EQUAL Africa ambassador further solidifies her position as one of Africa’s leading musical talents.”
On her part, Teni pledged to use her platform to advocate for more opportunities for women to succeed.
“To be honest, it is not easy but thanks to initiatives like the EQUAL Africa programme which helps to spotlight more female talents,”she said.

Teni gained prominence in 2017 with the release of the single ‘Fargin’.
She has won strings of awards and honorary mentions since then.

She also revealed that the sugar daddy had sent her N50,000 as her upkeep money despite the fact she spends millions on keeping her looks beautiful.

Teni added that she’s dumping the stingy man to look for another sugar daddy.

Teni, a singer, causes controversy by declining to shake President Buhari’s hand during the national awards (Video).

Popular Nigerian musician Teni Apata recently sparked a debate. 

Teni received a variety of responses for not shaking or introducing himself to President Buhari while accepting a national honor. 

447 people received the National Honors Award from President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday at the International Conference Centre in Abuja. 

The overall number of Nigeria’s national honors awardees since 1963 is 5,341 according to the National Honours Award Investiture 2022 Programme, which states that 450 individuals received awards.

Six of the 450 recipients were given the title of Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), 55 were given the title of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR), 74 were given the title of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR), and 77 were given the title of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR). There are also 65 Commanders of the Order of the Niger, 55 Members of the Order of the Niger, 110 Officers of the Order of the Niger (OON), and four recipients of the First Class Federal Republic Medal (FRM I) and Second Class Federal Republic Medal (FRM II).

Teni was the only honoree who was observed without shaking the President’s hand or extending a greeting at the award presentation.
