CAF Announces Free e-Visas For Fans Attending AFCON Morocco 2025

The Confederation of African Football and the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee on Friday announced that fans travelling to the tournament will be eligible for free electronic visas.

The policy benefits citizens of countries that normally require a visa to enter Morocco.

“Electronic visas to enter Morocco — obtained through the YALLA app — are now free of charge for supporters attending the competition, which runs from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026,”
CAF said in a statement on its website.

The governing body said the announcement comes amid growing global demand for Africa’s biggest football event, with more fans booking tickets.

It explained that fans need two documents, a fan identification and an e-visa, to stay in Morocco and enter football stadiums throughout the tournament.

“A Fan ID is mandatory for entry to all stadiums and official Fan Areas. Supporters can apply for both the Fan ID and e-visa in one place inside the YALLA app, streamlining travel and stadium access.

“The Fan ID application and e-visa request are completed seamlessly within the YALLA app, ensuring a faster, easier and secure experience for international visitors and local fans alike,” the statement added.

To apply, fans are urged to download the YALLA app on Google Play or the App Store, or visit the official YALLA website, complete the Fan ID form, and, if required, submit the e-visa request.

Once approved, supporters can purchase match tickets on the CAF ticketing platform.

“The new measures are designed to deliver a seamless, secure fan experience for Africa’s showpiece event that will be played across nine stadiums in six cities,”
CAF said.

With Morocco hosting for the first time since 1988, the continent’s biggest football festival returns to North Africa amid high expectations, fierce rivalries, and a new generation of African stars ready to make their mark.

A total of 24 teams are expected to participate.

BREAKING: Nigerian Filling Stations Reduce Fuel Price After 15% Import Duty Suspension

Nigerian filling stations in the Federal Capital Territory on Friday reduced the pump price of premium motor spirit following the federal government’s suspension of the 15% import duty on petrol and diesel.

Ranoil and Empire filling stations on Friday reduced petrol pump prices to N940 and N949 per litre, respectively, down from N955.

This means that the Nigerian filling stations’ fuel price drops by between N6 and N15 per litre.

The Spokesperson of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Chinedu Ukadike, linked the price drop to the Nigerian government suspension of its planned 15 percent import duty on petrol.

“Yes, petrol price will drop further,” he told Daily Post in an interview.

According to him, the anxiety associated with the planned 15 per cent import duty on petrol has been eased following the tariff suspension.

Recall that the Nigerian government announced the suspension of the planned 15 per cent tariff that would have given Dangote Refinery an edge in the country’s downstream sector with the potential to increase fuel prices.

Earlier this month, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited had reduced its fuel pump price to 945 per litre in Abuja.

According to Daily Post, most filling stations are now selling fuel between N940 and N955 per litre in Abuja and its environs.

Meanwhile, the ex-depot price of petrol at Dangote Refinery stood at N856 per litre, and depot owners such as Aiteo (N854), NIPCO (N858) and Pinnacle (N858).

BBNaija Star, Imisi’s Mother Speaks On Abandoning Daughter Before BBNaija Win

The mother of BBNaija Season 10 winner Imisi Ayanwale has responded to allegations that she abandoned her daughter and resurfaced only after Imisi gained fame and wealth.

The issue gained attention after rumours spread online saying she had left her daughter behind and returned only following her success.

In a video shared widely, she thanked God and Nigerians for their support during challenging times.

She explained that she has been living quietly with her younger sister in Ajah, receiving help and hospitality from people who welcomed her, provided food, and clothing.

She described her time as peaceful despite the criticism she faced.

Responding to those who accused her of neglect, she said her decision to remain silent was intentional and a matter of prudence, not guilt.

She recounted that she was informed about Imisi’s win from the Big Brother house only a few hours before it happened and had little time to prepare.

She concluded by appealing to the public to treat one another with kindness and understanding instead of spreading hate.

She said: “I’ve received mercy from God. Thank you so much to all Nigerians I’m truly grateful. I’m staying with my younger sister in Ajah. Even though some people didn’t want me around, others welcomed me, clothed me, and fed me. I’ve been happy and at peace.

“Some people said I neglected my children. I’m thankful to both those who mean well and those who don’t. The elders say we should be swift to hear but slow to reply, and the Bible teaches us to always stand for the truth.

“Adeola that promised them the other day is no longer available, and now I’m the one they’re after. The same Adeola is now following Opeyemi; she didn’t fulfill any of her promises. I was the one running helter-skelter, doing everything just to make sure my daughter succeeded and could lift me out of poverty.

“Even the day I went to Big Brother, I wasn’t told until the last minute, around 4 p.m., to dress up because Imisi would be leaving the house that day. Is that how it’s supposed to be?

“Let’s learn to bridle our tongues and stop tearing each other down. Why can’t we just live in love instead of envy and hate?”

Fuel Price: Why Nigerian Govt Suspended 15% Petrol Import Duty – Marketer

A petrol marketer has revealed three reasons the Nigerian government suspended its proposed 15 per cent petrol and diesel import duty.
DailyPost reported that the petroleum products marketer, who does not want to be named, spoke while reacting to the suspension of the petrol tariff.
According to him, FG made the decision to put on hold the refined petroleum products import duty due to inadequate consultation within government and stakeholders for its implementation.
Also, he explained that the tariff was suspended due to its political implications of possible higher petrol prices across the country.

“Personally I believe that there was a lot of push back from a lot of quarters, just as there were many in support.

“As we heard from the international contributors at the recent MEMAN webinar, while not unheard of, value-added tax on fuel is usually about 2 percent. The government in originally proposing such a move must have been thinking about the revenue potential.

“However, it came across as being a tool to protect local refineries, and to some people, a particular refinery. Be that as it may, I believe the U-turn may have been for the following reasons: Inadequate consultation within and outside government.

“Political implications of likely higher pump prices.

“Some consideration towards elections. Just my own thoughts. I can’t guarantee what the exact reason is. Implication: importation will continue until enough product is available through the local refineries.

“This development will ensure supply is adequate and that prices are moderated since no single entity will have a monopoly of supply,” he stated.

Recall that the federal government suspended the implementation of the 15 per cent tariff on Thursday, assuring Nigerians of an adequate petroleum products supply across the country.
The tariff before its suspension had generated both praise and contention from economists, stakeholders and Nigerians.
