Iyabo Ojo Once Entrusted Her Children In My Custody – Actor Baba Ijesha Reveals, Denies Being A P€dophile (Video)

Olanrewaju Omiyinka, the popular Nollywood comic actor, who is professionally known as Baba Ijesha, has revealed that actress, Iyabo Ojo once entrusted her children in his care.

Baba Ijesha stated this while denying being a p€dophile.

Recall that in 2021, comedian, Damilola Adekoya, a.k.a Princess, accused the actor of s*xually assaulting her 14-year-old foster daughter.

In 2022, the Lagos State High Court sentenced Baba Ijesha to prison.

The actor was released in November 2025 after completing his prison term.

However, speaking in his first interview with actress Biola Adebayo on Talk to B’ podcast on Sunday, Omiyinka, who denied ever molesting any child in the past, disclosed that Iyabo Ojo once entrusted her children, Priscilla and Festus in his care.

While insisting that the circulated video on social media was set up by Princess, Baba Ijesha who felt betrayed said “Princess had betrayed everyone close to her.

“I have never asked her out or kissed her before. But what pains me the most about Iyabo Ojo is that she once entrusted Priscilla and her brother in my care when they were younger. But she’s my product. I won’t speak bad of her.”

Recall that Iyabo Ojo firmly stood behind Princess during the Baba Ijesha case, and publicly vowed to do everything to make sure he was jailed.

Ozoro Festival: Angry Youths Protest At Lagos Assembly, Demand Justice

Nigerian youths on Sunday staged a protest at the Lagos State House of Assembly, demanding justice for victims of an alleged s*xual assault reportedly linked to a fertility festival in Ozoro.

The demonstrators, operating under the banner of the “End The R@pe Culture” campaign, expressed outrage over reports and videos circulating online, which allegedly showed victims crying out and pleading for help during the incident.

Speaking during the protest, the Executive Director of Hacey Health Initiative, Rhoda Robinson, described the situation as deeply disturbing, stressing that the issue goes beyond headlines and reflects a broader societal problem.

“It is heartbreaking. I keep asking myself, what if it were me? This is a stark reminder that r@pe culture still exists,” she said.

Robinson recalled that when the campaign was launched alongside Sunshine Rosman and other advocates, there were claims that r@pe culture was no longer prevalent in Nigeria.

She, however, questioned that assertion, noting that survivors were often silenced, blamed and denied justice.

“How can anyone say r@pe culture does not exist when victims are still being silenced and justice remains elusive?” She asked.

She cited data indicating that a significant number of women and girls in Nigeria experience s*xual violence, with many cases going unreported due to fear, stigma, and societal pressure.

According to her, even reported cases rarely result in justice for survivors.

Robinson also referenced the widely reported case of Ochanya, a young girl who was repeatedly abused by close relatives and later died from complications related to vesicovaginal fistula and trauma. She said the case underscores the persistent vulnerability of many girls across the country.

According to her, Ochanya’s experience is not an isolated case, as many victims continue to suffer in silence.

“The reality is harsh: victims are blamed, families suppress the truth, and systems fail to protect. Women and girls continue to face oppression, and this must change. We need stronger safeguards, effective laws, and justice that is consistent, not selective. No one should be forced to endure such suffering in silence,” she added.

Meanwhile, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Aina Adesola, visited the affected area alongside senior officers, including the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, as part of efforts to address the situation.

Ozoro S*xual Assault: Nigerian Govt Orders Prosecution Of Culprits

The Federal Government of Nigeria has ordered security agencies to apprehend and prosecute suspects connected to alleged s*xual assaults associated with a local festival in Ozoro.

The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, issued the directive in a statement released on Friday in Abuja by the ministry’s Head of Press and Public Relations, Ahmed Danbazau.

The directive follows the circulation of a viral video early Friday, which captured incidents of s*xual assault during the Alue-Do Festival, a traditional event often referred to as a “Festival of Fertility” in the Ozoro Kingdom.

Expressing deep concern, the minister condemned reports that women were subjected to harassment and s*xual violence during the activities in Isoko North Local Government Area.

She said, “I am deeply concerned by the disturbing reports and viral footage alleging that women were subjected to s*xual assault and harassment during the Alue-Do Festival in Ozoro.”

While commending the swift response of the Delta State Police Command, she called for a transparent, thorough, and expedited investigation.

“I commend the prompt action of the Delta State Police Command, but I urge that the investigation be transparent, thorough, and accelerated to ensure that all persons implicated are identified and brought to justice without delay,” she stated.

Describing the incidents as disturbing and unacceptable, Sulaiman-Ibrahim stressed that such acts violate human dignity, public safety, and the rule of law.

“These incidents are disturbing, unacceptable, and a clear violation of human dignity, public safety, and the rule of law,” she said.

She emphasised that no cultural justification can excuse such acts.

“No cultural or traditional practice can justify or excuse s*xual violence in any form. S*xual assault is a serious criminal offence, and all allegations must be thoroughly investigated, with perpetrators held fully accountable under the law,” the minister added.

Reaffirming the Federal Government’s commitment to protecting women and girls, she noted:

“We remain committed to prioritising the safety, dignity, and protection of women and girls across Nigeria.”

She added that the ministry would collaborate with the Delta State Ministry of Women Affairs to support victims.

“We will strengthen collaboration to ensure victims receive immediate psychosocial support, medical attention, and legal assistance,” she said.

The minister also stressed the need to engage community leaders to prevent a recurrence.

“We will continue to engage traditional leaders and community stakeholders to address harmful norms and prevent a recurrence of such incidents,” she added.

The ministry further urged the public to cooperate with law enforcement authorities to ensure justice is served and similar incidents are prevented.

We’re Winding Down – Donald Trump Signals Ceasefire As Iran War Enters 21st Day

United States President, Donald Trump, has hinted at a possible scaling back of military operations against Iran as the US–Israel conflict enters its 21st day.

Trump made the disclosure in a statement posted on his Truth Social account on Friday night, suggesting that Washington is close to achieving its objectives in the Middle East.

He said the US-Israel campaign has significantly weakened Iran’s military capabilities, including its missile systems, while also targeting key leadership figures.

The US president reiterated that American forces would continue to defend regional allies such as Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

He also stressed the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, noting it must be secured.

“We are getting very close to meeting our objectives as we consider winding down our great military efforts in the Middle East with respect to the terrorist regime of Iran: (1) completely degrading Iranian missile capability, launchers, and everything else pertaining to them. (2) Destroying Iran’s Defense Industrial Base. (3) Eliminating their Navy and Air Force, including anti-aircraft weaponry. (4) Never allowing Iran to get even close to nuclear capability, and always being in a position where the U.S.A. can quickly and powerfully react to such a situation, should it take place. (5) Protecting, at the highest level, our Middle Eastern allies, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, and others.

“The Hormuz Strait will have to be guarded and policed, as necessary, by other nations who use it—the United States does not! If asked, we will help these countries in their Hormuz efforts, but it shouldn’t be necessary once Iran’s threat is eradicated. Importantly, it will be an easy military operation for them. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump wrote.

Meanwhile, tension remains high as Iran’s Quds Force commander, Esmail Qaani, vowed “more surprises” in attacks targeting the US, Israel, and their allies.

In a separate development, a statement attributed to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, claimed victory over US and Israeli forces, boasting that Iran had delivered a “dizzying blow” to its adversaries.

However, Trump maintained that Iran’s leadership structure has been effectively dismantled, declaring that its leaders are “all gone.”
