All Hell Broke Loose After My Wedding Planner Leaked My Remarriage Plan – Pastor Chris Okafor Says

Dr Chris Okafor, a televangelist and founding pastor of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, has condemned what he described as cyberbullying and called for regulation of the nation’s cyberspace.

Okafor made the call at a news conference on Thursday in Lagos, calling to explain his displeasure with most bloggers and online influencers in Nigeria.

The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, recalls that in November 2025, Nollywood actress, Doris Ogala, accused Okafor of a long-term affair and breaking a promise to marry her.

The actress also accused the pastor of murdering her brother and also burying the head of a murdered unidentified person at his altar, in his church, located in Ojodu area of the state.

The pastor said that while his media trial was going on, what remained most painful was the fact that the bloggers and influencers were all bullying him on an allegation without evidence or hearing from him.

“It is so sad that most of the so-called influencers we have often connived with people to come up with fabulous lies to attract traffic to their blogs.

“Many Nigerians have suffered and are still suffering from the lies of bloggers and most often, they get away with it after destroying the image of their targets.

“Very few times, some of the influencers were arrested and dragged to court but 90 per cent of them often go free for far-fetched lies against people.

“Nigeria must find a way to safeguard its internet space, especially to ensure that innocent citizens do not get shattered over lies, demeaning their image,” he said.

The pastor said there is need for the National Assembly to come up with legislation that would not only regulate the nation’s internet but ensure that offenders are punished as deterrent to others.

He urged the cyber police to do more in tracing internet offences and fishing out offenders.

Recalling his ordeal, Okafor lamented that majority of bloggers and some Nigerians failed to ask the necessary questions on the allegation.

“The same person who accused me of murder is the same person crying that I want to abandon her and marry someone else. How could she want to marry someone who allegedly killed her brother?

“There is so much about the matter than meets the ordinary eye, and so many unanswered questions and glaring lies.

“The allegations were coming from a woman I never met. Then my ex-wife joined and came up with me allegedly trying to defile one of our daughters.

“The same ex-wife and daughter have gone to a popular blogger to ask that I pay for their school fees and upkeep abroad of about N80 million. The same father trying to defile them? Which woman will do that?

“All these began after my plans to remarry was leaked by our wedding planner. All hell broke loose and everyone tries to cash in on it.

”In our divorce proceedings in 2014,  which I instituted at an Ikeja court, the reasons on the document were infidelity, violence, lack of love and the marriage was dissolved for irreconcilable differences.

“At no point during the proceedings did my ex-wife mention I was trying to defile our daughter. The court awarded me custody of our children, and no one queried those allegations.

“If, as a pastor, I can survive these lies, what happens to an average Nigerian?”

Okafor reassured his members and Nigerians that the truth would eventually unfold, assuring that truth must prevail and offenders would not go unpunished.

“In the 55 years of my existence on earth, I have never been arrested for any crime or offence. It is so sad how far people can go to destroy,” he added.

The Emotional Pressure Is Too Much – Singer Harrysong’s Ex Wife Gives Up Custody Of Children (Video)

Alexer Pere, the former wife of Nigerian singer Harrysong, has announced that she is temporarily stepping aside from the custody of their two young children.

The decision was made public through an emotional video she shared on her Instagram story on Thursday morning.

In the video, Alexer explained that the move was not easy for her, describing it as a painful choice that came after years of pressure following the end of her marriage.

She said she has been the one caring for the children since the separation, adding that they have been living with her, attending school from her home, and only seeing their father occasionally.

According to her, this arrangement has lasted for about two years.

Alexer accused her former husband of disturbing her peace, claiming that he often comes to her residence without notice and creates tension around her daily life.

She stated that the constant stress has taken an emotional toll on her and made it difficult to continue coping.

She also mentioned that there are allegations contained in a petition filed by the singer, which she plans to address later.

However, she said the emotional strain had become too heavy for her at the moment, forcing her to hand over custody temporarily.

While explaining her decision, Alexer made it clear that giving up custody does not mean she has abandoned her children.

She insisted that she intends to return for them when she is in a better emotional state.

She further expressed concern about the children’s living arrangement, claiming that their father is often not around and that they may be left in the care of domestic workers despite their tender ages.

Alexer revealed that she previously lived in Asaba but relocated to Lagos after she began facing threats that made her feel unsafe.

She added that her decision was not based on weakness but on her need to stay alive and mentally stable.

She also appealed for the safety of her children, stating that no mother truly wants to be separated from her kids, but she felt she had run out of options.

She reassured that her bond with them remains strong and that she would always return to be part of their lives.

In January 2024, Harrysong publicly spoke about facing challenges in his marriage and asked the public to respect his family’s privacy during that period.

Shortly after, Alexer made a social media post hinting that the relationship had fully ended.

The couple got married in March 2021 and share two children together, aged four and three.

Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi-Oke has responded after a social media user criticised celebrities over the ongoing fundraising for actress Aunty Ajara, who is currently undergoing medical treatment.

The issue started after a post was shared online asking the public to support Ajara’s treatment.

A critic then accused celebrities of spending money at parties while turning to the public for help when a colleague falls ill.

In her response, Ronke explained that many efforts had already been made privately before the matter reached social media.

In a video posted on her Instagram page, the actress said she and other colleagues had contributed close to N5 million for Ajara’s treatment.

According to her, one person alone donated N500,000, while others also sent money quietly.

Ronke made it clear that public appeals only came after the private funds were used and Ajara’s condition continued to get worse.

The actress added that members of the industry regularly support one another behind the scenes and do not always make their help public unless the situation becomes more serious.

She said: “We contributed almost five million naira for Ajara privately. One of our colleagues gave five hundred thousand naira for her treatment. Before we came online, many of us had already helped privately. Her health kept getting worse despite all the efforts. You people think we waste money at parties, but you don’t know what we do behind the scenes. Celebrities always try their best first before asking the public for help. We are always assisting her and sending her money.”

Aunty Ajara’s health situation had earlier drawn attention after actress Wumi Toriola called for prayers and assistance, explaining that her condition had become more critical despite previous efforts.

The disagreement between the two parties is not new.

In 2023, Hellen publicly accused Chief Priest of abandoning her child.

He denied the allegation and insisted that he had the means to take care of any child linked to him outside marriage.

During his public clash with singer Burna Boy last year, the socialite again maintained that he was not the child’s father.

He explained that he would never turn his back on his children, whom he described as gifts from God.

Sarah Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, the Nigerian singer, who is better known as Ayra Starr, has expressed her desire to collaborate with Burna Boy, identifying the Afrobeats star as the artiste she most wants to work with.

The music star made this known during a Billboard interview released on Thursday, January 29, 2026, while discussing her 2026 Grammy nominations with Love Island USA personality Chelley Bissainthe.

Ayra explained that even though she has worked with several artistes, Burna Boy remains her top choice for a future project.

“Everybody knows Burna Boy is like my number one person I want to collaborate with.

“I’ve collaborated with a lot of people, and I still want to collaborate with many more people,” Ayra Starr said.

Ayra Starr, whose real name is Sarah Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, recently earned a Grammy nomination in the Best African Music Performance category.

The nomination came from her song Gimme Dat, a collaboration with Wizkid that was released on April 25, 2025.

The full list of nominees was announced in November 2025 ahead of the award ceremony scheduled for February 1, 2026.

Reacting to the nomination, the singer described the moment as comforting for her career.

She said it made her feel more confident about her talent and reminded her that she is on the right path.

According to her, while her first Grammy nomination felt shocking, the second one gave her inner peace and belief in her ability as an artiste.

Ayra also spoke about the making of Gimme Dat, revealing that she only learned about the song’s sample during recording.

The track draws from 911 by Wyclef Jean and Mary J. Blige.

She explained that she was unaware of the song’s background until Don Jazzy pointed it out, which later pushed her to research and understand its origin.

She added that the recording experience became even more meaningful when she later discovered that the studio used for the session once belonged to Wyclef Jean.

According to her, the coincidence made the entire process feel purposeful.

The singer also opened up about challenges she faced while recording the song.

She said her voice was not in good shape on the first day, and even on the second day, she still struggled.

Despite this, she remained determined to deliver her best, relying on effort and studio support to achieve the final sound.

Ayra Starr further revealed that Gimme Dat was originally planned as a solo track.

She recorded the song several months before its release, long before Wizkid became part of the project.

She explained that once Wizkid joined, everything fell into place naturally and the timing felt right.

After she continued to question him, he later admitted it was a woman, not a man.

He then asked her to sit down, saying there was something important they needed to discuss. The situation soon became tense.

According to her, he contacted security personnel and ordered them to remove her from the house.

 

Though she left at first, she later returned to confront him, wondering how he could treat her that way after they had dated for about three to four years.

 

She revealed that the encounter became even more painful when he told her he had already contacted the police.

He reportedly said he did not want her to end up in trouble for fighting a pregnant woman.

That moment, she said, confirmed everything she feared and brought their relationship to an end.

She said: “I knocked on the door and waited for about five minutes before he opened. Instead of being happy to see me, the first thing he asked was, ‘Why didn’t you say you were coming?

“I tried to enter the room and saw that the door was locked. I asked him why, and he said he had a friend inside.

“He later said, ‘It’s not a guy, it’s a girl,’ and then told me to sit down because we needed to talk.

“He called the security men and asked them to escort me out of the house.

“I went back to ask him how he could do that to me after we had been together for three to four years.

“He told me he had already called the police because he didn’t want me to go to jail for fighting a pregnant woman.”

“Till tomorrow, it lives in my head. Everything is not about money. If my marriage is not maintained, I will not have money like this.”

Josephina Otabor, the reality TV star, who is popularly known as Phyna, has sparked online reactions after being denied entry to the birthday party of 2025 Big Brother Naija winner, Imisi.

The incident happened at the event venue on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

In the clip, Phyna appeared angry and embarrassed as she spoke about what happened at the entrance.

According to her account, she was prevented from going inside because she was livestreaming the event for her fans.

She explained that the organizers and security officials asked her to put down her camera before she could be allowed in, but she did not agree with the instruction.

Phyna said she felt the demand was unnecessary, especially since her intention was to support Imisi on her special day and not to cause any problem.

She believed she was treated unfairly and questioned why the rule seemed to apply only to her.

She also raised concerns about what she described as double standards, noting that other popular content creators or livestreamers might not have been treated the same way if they were in her position.
