The 18-year-old also labelled Messi as the greatest footballer of all-time.

The Spain star added that Neymar deserves to win at least one Ballon d’Or.

“Neymar and Messi. I would give one [Ballon d’Or] to ‘Ney’, I think he deserves it,” Yamal told RTVE (via Barca Universal).

“The ‘Ney’ who was playing for Barca or Paris at the time would definitely win it [Ballon d’Or] now.

“I would’ve liked him [Neymar ] to have won one. And obviously, Messi because he is the best ever.”

Yamal is one of the top candidates that could win the 2025 Ballon d’Or.

‘Big 3′ Conversation Needs Tems’ Inclusion – Tiwa Savage Says

Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has stirred debate in the industry by challenging the long-held “Big 3” narrative that spotlights only Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.

According to Savage’s recent interview, she said it’s unfair to omit Tems from such discussions, given her impressive achievements, including a Grammy Award and a spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Tems has collaborated with major international artists and has been a driving force in Afrobeats’ global popularity

“I also feel like it’s unfair to have that conversation about the Big 3 and not mention someone like Tems,” Tiwa said, calmly making her point while seated in a black leather jacket during the chat.

Don’t Depend On a Man For Money No Matter How Rich He Is – Tacha to Women

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Anita Natacha Akide aka Tacha, has sent a message to women.
She urged them to be financialy independent, even if their men are rich.
Speaking in an interview on Outside the Box, Tacha dismissed the idea of splitting responsibilities equally in relationships.
“Nobody would I do 50/50 with. No, no, I wouldn’t do 50/50 with anybody, really. No, no, no. I would, maybe, whilst growing up or in university, I probably would have. Or even in the university, I didn’t. So I won’t, I won’t do that now. I would say, use it as an inspiration to go get your shit together.

“Would I bring out my money sometimes? Yeah, I would. But it will not be a case where we’re doing 50/50.. no. There are times when maybe I probably do not have enough. I wanna do 100% I could. There are times that you do 100%, but the whole 50/50 thing is just giving friends and peer groups.” she added.
She was further asked how this position balanced the notion that women should not depend on any man.
“Yeah, it is true to not depend on any man. And regardless of how rich your partner or how rich your husband is, you just never know what tomorrow might bring. So it’s just always great for you to be independent. Try to get business or just anything else that makes you not be a liability.” she advised.

EFCC Declares Former Abia Commissioner Enweremadu Wanted

A former Abia State Commissioner, Christopher Enweremadu has been declared wanted over allegations of criminal conspiracy, diversion of public funds, and money laundering.
He was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In a public notice signed by its Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, on Wednesday, the EFCC listed Enweremadu’s last known address as the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Umuahia, Abia State.
The anti-graft agency urged anyone with useful information about his whereabouts to report to any of its zonal commands in Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, or Abuja.
“The public is hereby notified that CHRISTOPHER ENWEREMADU, whose photograph appears above, is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an alleged case of criminal conspiracy, diversion of public funds, stealing and money laundering,” the notice read.
Enweremadu, who served as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters under former Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, has been linked to investigations into the management of funds allocated to Abia’s 17 local government councils.
In December 2024, a Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja ordered a probe into allocations to the LGAs between 2019 and 2023, directing the EFCC to submit its findings.
The court also ordered the seizure of international travel documents belonging to three former state officials: Enweremadu, former aide to Governor Ikpeazu, Erondu Uchenna Erondu, and the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Deaconess Joy Nwanju.
The court’s action stemmed from an ex parte application by an activist who alleged that billions of naira meant for Abia’s LGAs were diverted under the supervision of the named officials.
EFCC, however, did not disclose further details of the specific transactions tied to Enweremadu in the fresh wanted notice.
This development comes weeks after the commission also declared Abdullahi Bashir Haske, an Adamawa-born entrepreneur and associate of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, wanted in connection with alleged criminal conspiracy and money laundering.

Why It Will Be Hard For Portable to Fade – Shoday

Nigerian singer Shoday has opened up that it will be hard for controversial street-hop star Portable to fade from limelight.
Shoday stated this during a recent interview.
According to him, the reason is because Portable’s appeal goes beyond his music.
His words:
“Artists like Portable, before he will go down and not trend again, it will be long. Music is far beyond song. You can’t just be putting out music people need to know who you are. People need to know your personality and this person doesn’t care. He posts on Instagram like WhatsApp. When he came out people taught he was only going to trend for a year and that’s that, but till today he’s still buzzing…”

Minimum Wage: States Have No Excuse Not To Pay Beyond N70,000 — Employers Association

The Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) has stated that state governments have no excuse for not paying civil servants above the newly approved N70,000 minimum wage, pointing to rising federal allocations and the growing cost of living nationwide.

NECA’s Director General, Adewale Smatt-Oyerinde, stated this during an interview on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief.

He argued that the surge in monthly revenues shared from the Federation Account has weakened the claims by some state governors that they cannot meet the new wage benchmark.

President Bola Tinubu signed the new minimum wage bill into law in July 2024, raising the national minimum wage from N30,000 to N70,000 after months of negotiations with labour unions, the private sector, and lawmakers.

Since then, some states have gone above the federal threshold. On August 27, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma announced a new minimum wage of N104,000, while Ebonyi State approved N90,000 for its civil servants a day later.

Smatt-Oyerinde maintained that given these developments, no state could reasonably claim financial incapacity.

“No state really has an excuse in the context of the current reality to stay at N70,000, especially with people struggling with the price of petrol. While many states are still doing a lot with the CNG buses, more still needs to be done.

“A lot still needs to be done in the context of food security and shelter. Once you deal with that, the conversation would not really be about minimum wage because the quantum of that N70,000 will be able to buy enough for an average household.”

He stressed that workers remain critical drivers of both the public and private sectors, adding that poor wages weaken productivity.

“If you are hungry, if you have issues with shelter and transport, hardly would you be productive at work. Whatever will improve productivity will increase motivation, especially within the context of ongoing reforms.”

The NECA boss urged governors to view the civil service as the “engine that drives the system” and to treat workers as vital contributors to economic growth, not as expendable costs. He concluded by echoing the International Labour Organization’s principle that “workers are not commodities.”
