Martins Vincent Otse, the popular social media influencer, who is famously known as Verydarkman, has disclosed that music producer Michael Collins Ajereh, aka Don Jazzy, is the anonymous donor that sent N100 million to his newly established Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).
VDM initially raised concerns regarding the huge amount that was deposited into the account in a video via Instagram.
In the post, he called on Zenith Bank to investigate the situation.
“I don’t know what is going on, hope I’m not being set up… I AM NOT INTO MONEY LAUNDERING; I DO NOT DO FRAUD (FOR THE RECORD) Nigerians bear me witness, I don’t know what’s up with the account,” he wrote.
However, in a new video shared on Thursday, VDM confirmed that Don Jazzy reached out to inform him that he sent the donation.
The influencer said he received a message from Don Jazzy, which reads, “Morning bro. Just saw your post. Na me send ₦100m to support. I believe in what you are doing and trust you to be as transparent as you have always been. We really need that in our country. I wish you all the best with the project and more blessings to you. It’s not easy.”
According to him, the NGO had already received N179 million just five days after its launch.
Meanwhile, Don Jazzy’s donation has elicited reactions from Nigerians on social media.
@EdwardEzegu: “Even me way them no send the money dey in shock.”
On X, @talentedkwamejr said: “Don Jazzy for a reason. The money ppl go to Big Brother Naija to compete for Don Jazzy don send am to Very Dark Man to help his project😭😅. May God do same for us all. Amen.”

VeryDarkMan, the Nigerian activist and social critic, has announced receiving ₦21,620,780 just 24 hours after launching his NGO.
In a video circulating on social media, the Nigerian activist provided a detailed statement, expressing gratitude for the swift response to his call for support.
Upon launching the NGO, VeryDarkMan encouraged Nigerians to contribute towards his goal of overhauling the public education system with innovative solutions.
Just a day after his appeal, he confirmed the receipt of ₦21,620,780, which will help kickstart his projects.
He emphasised his commitment to transparency, pledging to expose NGOs that misuse public funds for personal gain.
VeryDarkMan also criticised the lack of accountability within many Nigerian NGOs, stating that donations are often diverted for personal enrichment.
He vowed to stand apart by making all expenditures public, setting a new benchmark for integrity and transparency in NGO operations.
Part of his statement reads: “It’s barely 24 hours since I announced my NGO, and if I tell you how much is in that account now, you won’t believe it. First of all, shout out to everyone who sent money. I saw love and support from amounts like ₦72, ₦100, ₦22, ₦500. Most of the money was from small donations—₦500, ₦300, ₦200. Even people who didn’t have much still wanted to support.”
“The biggest amounts were ₦2 million and ₦1 million. But honestly, it’s the smaller amounts that make up the majority. I got one donation with a note saying ‘I love you because you’re crazy,’ and it was just ₦100. That’s love.”
“These contributions have opened my eyes to how many NGOs are scamming people in this country. Many of them are not using the money they receive for the right purposes. But with my NGO, I’ll make sure to expose them by being fully transparent. If I spend ₦10, I’ll let the public know. This will pressure other NGOs to start doing the same.”
VeryDarkMan emphasised that his project is focused on improving public education in Nigeria.
He pointed out that public schools lack young and innovative teachers, and that his plan is to bring in new teaching methods and resources, including technology like projectors, to enhance learning.
“The educational sector, especially in public schools, is failing. There’s nothing exciting about it anymore. We need to bring in young teachers who students can look up to, and we need to introduce modern teaching methods. Education should advance with the times,” he said.
He also highlighted the importance of equipping students with practical skills, saying, “Not everyone needs to follow the traditional academic route. We should introduce vocational training early so that students can start thinking about their future careers from primary school. We need to bring back cultural events and other activities that make education fun.”
Vincent Otse, the popular Nigerian social media critic, who is also known as VeryDarkMan, has revisited the circumstances surrounding the death of the late singer Ileriouluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad.
Recall that Mohbad died on September 12 2023 under questionable circumstances and was buried the following day.
Since his passing, numerous efforts by his family, authorities, and other stakeholders to uncover the truth about his death have been unsuccessful.
In a recent reevaluation of the case, VDM released a new video asserting that justice for Mohbad remains out of reach.
VDM had earlier demanded a DNA test to be conducted, alleging Mohad’s wife Wunmi has knowledge in circumstances surrounding her husband’s death.
However, in a u-turn, he now claimed that the late singer’s former employer, Naira Marley, and his associate, Sam Larry, have knowledge of the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death but have not acted accordingly.
He said, “Mohbad did not get justice at the end of the day, the truth is that the main distraction was not DNA, the distraction was Naira Marley and Sam Larry.
“They themselves knows what happened to the boy, I’m telling you the truth, all of them know. Up till now nobody has brought proof that Sam Larry or Naira Marley killed the boy, they know themselves, they know what happened that day.
“But they covered it up, they were trying to settle scores on whatever Naira Marley or Sam Larry did to them.”
VDM also pointed out that while Mohbad suffered various forms of mistreatment from them, only one incident was captured in a “cropped” video that circulated online.
Popular Nigerian LGBTQ activist, Bisi Alimi has opined that controversial activist, Martins Vincent Otse aka Very Dark Man will be the ‘’biggest victim on the table he is strongly trying to shake.”
According to him, Very Dark Man can never win the battles he is fighting.
Bisi shared this thought in a post on his Instastories.
Bisi’s post comes after VDM appeared before members of the investigating panel in the National Assembly after he accused Bobrisky of stating that he bribed the EFCC to drop charges of money laundering held against him.
During his time at the National Assembly VDM used the opportunity to call out bad leaders.
