Davido Fixes New Date For Delta Concert, Mocks Pinnick Again

Singer, Davido has fixed a new date for him to perform in Warri.
This comes after missing out on the 19th edition of the Warri Again concert.
The Warri Again concert was held on October 6 to celebrate entertainers who hail from the Niger Delta region.
Amaju Pinnick, the former president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), recently called out Davido for failing to show up at the concert.
Pinnick argued that Davido had received $94,600 to perform at Warri Again.
He said a chartered plane was arranged to convey the singer to Warri, which cost the state another $18,000.
Pinnick, an executive member of the world football governing body FIFA, added that the organisers eventually replaced Davido with Shallipopi.
Reacting, Davido had aimed a thinly veiled dig at the ex-NFF chief, insinuating that people who live in glass houses should not throw stones.
But in a series of fresh Instagram posts, the singer announced that he will perform for his Delta fans in December.

He also revealed that he had earlier informed the organisers about his unavailability but wondered why “they continued to promote the show using my name”.

“I will be performing in WARRI DECEMBER! I wan see who get mind stop me … body go tell u,” he wrote.
“To my lovely fans in Warri that spent their hard earned money to come out. Apologies you had to experience this. I was not going to be physically able to make it and this had been communicated to ‘them’ for a longgggg while now I mean MONTHS ago but for reasons best known to them, they continued to promote the show using my name. It’s a shame.”
He also took a swipe at Pinnick while promising to “donate money to NFF” which he argued, “has been suffering for too long”.
“If I’m returning any money I’ll return it to any football charity organization.. INFACT I will DOUBLE IT….. MR DREAM CRUSHER… imagine how many Nigerian footballers have had their dreams crushed because person one live for ikoyi by force,” he wrote.

“Warri Pple hate you! And u know! Amaju come outside let’s talk!

“I wanna donate money to @thenffofficial been suffering for too long it’s not fair … let’s do something @puma”

He noted that money doesn’t equate to success, noting that the latter was basically about the transformation of lives around one’s community.

He said: “Success to me is not money. To me, it’s the organisations and the lives you change around the community. That is success to me.”

“So, I’m going to have big estates and I can just see me wearing a nice Versace robe, you know. Maybe my cognac and my cup and me just walking to the balcony and looking down.

“So when I look down, it’s enguarded with all my wife, friends, kids; the staff. Like just having a party and everybody is successful in their own way. Knowing that all this came from a dream of me just wanting to do music. So, that’s like….I always have that vision.”

G.O.A.T Debate: Why I Prefer Ronaldo To Messi – Davido Speaks

David Adeleke, the world-renowned Nigerian afrobeats singer, who is professionally known as Davido has cited ‘discipline’ as the reason he prefers Cristiano Ronaldo to Lionel Messi in the G.O.A.T debate.

The 30-year-old musician made this known on the sidelines of the Professional Footballers Association awards.

Recall Davido thrilled the audience at the ceremony to a medley of his songs when the awards marked its 50th anniversary.

Asked by GOAL about his thoughts on the greatest footballer of all time debate between Ronaldo and Messi, the singer said, “Cristiano for me, he is very, very disciplined.

“You know, and to have that kind of success and to be so disciplined at the same time is something I’ve always admired about him.

“I like both of them. But, I personally, I’m a Ronaldo guy.”

Ronaldo recently stated that the rivalry with Messi is over despite the rave it enjoyed among football fans.

He said, “I don’t see things like that; the rivalry is over. It was a healthy rivalry, and the spectators liked it a lot.

He said, “Whoever likes Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t have to hate Messi and vice versa, because they are both very good. We’ve done well; we have changed the history of football, and we’ll keep on doing it. We are respected all over the world; that’s the most important thing.

“He makes his way; I make mine, even if we’re playing outside Europe. From what I’ve seen, he has done well, and so have I. It’s about continuing; the legacy continues.

“I’ve said there’s no rivalry. We’ve shared the stage for 15 years, and we ended up being—I wouldn’t say friends—because I never dined with him. We are professional colleagues, and we respect each other.”
