Nigerian superstar Davido shares a sneak peek from the first birthday party of their twins while keeping their identities private.
It would be recalled that the singer announced the one-year birthday of their twin babies on Wednesday, triggering widespread attention from fans and celebrities alike.
Taking to his Instagram story, the singer shared glimpses of the birthday celebration, including pictures of balloon decorations and a barbecue stand. However, he did not reveal any photos of the twins themselves.
Unlike his other children—Imade Adeleke, Hailey, and the late Ifeanyi—who are well-known to the public and adored online, Davido has kept his twins away from the limelight.
Fans remain curious about the identities of the twins, as they are the only ones among his children whose faces and names have yet to be revealed.
Afrobeats singer, Davido and the former president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, hae ended their rift.
The two had clashed in 2023 after Davido failed to perform at the Warri Again comedy and music show, despite Pinnick’s promotional efforts featuring Davido’s image.
The dispute, which escalated on social media, and then ended in court, has now been resolved out of court.
Davido took center stage on Saturday to perform at the highly publicized 2024 edition of Warri Again.
The event featured performances by notable comedians and musicians, including De Stalker, Oritsefemi, Odumodublvck, Fave, Shallipopi, and Phyno.
David Adeleke, the popular Nigerian singer, who is also known as Davido, has opened up about how he handles the pain of losing loved ones.
The singer is no stranger to grief, having lost his mum, Mrs Victoria Imade Adeleke, at 11, and his 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, as well as associates, Tagbo, DJ Olu, Obama DMW, and personal photographer Fortune, in quick successions.
Speaking in a recent interview with Mystery Fashionist in New York, Davido said his faith has kept him going despite the tragedies.
“I have lost a lot of people. I lost my mum at the age of eleven. I’m just being strong. I did a song called ‘Stand Strong.’
“I feel like strength and obviously, my faith has kept me going,” he said.
Davido also addressed some misconceptions about him.
“I think sometimes, people think I am not approachable. Another misconception is that people also think I am too accessible.
“I grew up in a big family, I’m used to having people around me. My talent and success is God-given,” he explained.
Popular Nigerian singer, Davido has taken to his Instastories to share a lovely photo of his wife.

Afrobeats star, Davido has claimed that his senior colleague, D’banj was the first Nigerian musician to achieve international stardom.
According to him, Nigerian artists were not getting international bookings before the global success of D’banj’s 2012 hit single ‘Oliver Twist’.
Speaking in a recent interview with Apple Music, Davido said D’banj’s international success inspired a paradigm shift which led to African music gaining traction in the Western world.
He said, “D’banj was my first vision of a Nigerian artist taking over the world. No one in America was booking Nigerian artists for shows but that changed when I saw Kanye West in D’banj’s ‘Oliver Twist’ video on YouTube.
“It was because of the success of ‘Oliver Twist’ that Americans started booking D’banj, 2Face, P-Square and other African artists for shows. They were making about $1,000,000 per show. So I decided to switch and start doing African music because that’s where I am from.”
While D’banj contributed to the globalisation of African music, especially Afrobeats in the early days of its exportation, many observers disagree with Davido’s claims that he was the first Nigerian musician to achieve international stardom.
Nigerian music legends such as Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, King Sunny Ade, Majek Fashek and hosts of others were popular on the international stage in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.
2Baba, formerly known as 2Face’s hit song ‘African Queen’ had won several international awards and was used as a soundtrack of the popular American romantic comedy ‘Phat Girlz’ (2006), years before D’banj’s ‘Oliver Twist’ was released.
