2023: APC Will Win Presidential Election – Keyamo

Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), has stated that his party will win the Feb. 25 presidential election because it has the upper hand.

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment stated this when he appeared at the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Forum in Abuja.

“Without trying to sound overconfident, I can tell you that the election is ours to lose.

“If you take the baseline for projection for the 2015 and 2019 elections, you will discover that in terms of the demographic setup of Nigeria and the voting pattern in the last two elections, the APC has the upper hand.

“If you take the baseline from the recent elections, then you will know that the election is for APC and our candidate to lose.

“Demographically, we are extremely strong, we are the most diverse and widespread all over the country, the APC is the only party without concentration of support from one part of the country,” he said.

Keyamo, also a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) said it was clear that the APC would record a landslide victory at the poll, going by current developments in the country.

“Again, in a country like ours or anywhere in Africa, you have an opposition that is not together facing the ruling party, that is you have an opposition split into three. How do you expect them to defeat the ruling party?

“It is a very simple calculation, forget about all the noise going around. The split we see today in the opposition parties facing the APC, in the form of PDP, LP and NNPP is an indication of weakness.

“It is a simple calculation and even when they were together as PDP just three and half years ago, we defeated them with 4 million votes, so they have a task of bridging the 4 million votes.

“Even if they were together, they still have a 4 million votes deficit to close up in the last election, not to mention now that they are split into three. Where are the votes going to come from, that’s the question we are asking and we are waiting for the Nigerian electorate to answer that in a few days’ time,” he said.

“I came to solicit your support for our candidate and I know you will continue to support us.”

President Buhari said he chose to join the campaign train of the APC presidential candidate because they have been friends for the past 20 years.

The Nigerian leader asserted the fact that he performed wonderfully well when he was Governor of Lagos State and won the APC presidential primary in a free, fair and credible process.

“We recognize you don’t play politics but we have to show our respect when we come to town for campaign.

“We noted one thing on our way to the palace. The enthusiasm of our people. We are grateful to the peace and co-existence of individuals and your accommodation to various people living in Sokoto.

“We want to win election and since that is what we come for, we seek your blessing and endorsement. It is something you cannot reject because Mr. President is here.”

Dino Melaye mocks Tinubu for his inability to recite Quranic(Video)

Dino Melaye, the spokesman for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign council, has called All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu an emergency Muslim.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu

This comes following the inability of the former Governor of Lagos State to appropriately recite the Qu’ran at a campaign rally.

Taking to his Twitter page on Monday, January 16, 2023, Dino Melaye released a video of what he termed the ‘Fathia challenge’ between him and Tinubu.

SUGGESTION: You can get News updates directly on WhatsApp by clicking “HERE” and joining our group.

Fathia is the first chapter of the Qu’ran, and it is recited by Muslims in every obligatory five daily prayers.

According to the former Kogi State senator, the APC flagbearer is not a Muslim, but an emergency one who is trying to learn the basics of Islams only for political purposes.

Melaye, therefore, urged Nigerians to vote out Bola Tinubu in the forthcoming general election.

He wrote: “Fathia challenge: Dino defeated Tinubu in Quranic citation. Emilokan is not a Muslim but an emergency Muslim trying to learn the basics of Islam for political purposes. Vote him out.”

This has however generated mixed reactions, while many asked Tinubu to take up the challenge, others said that shows Tinubu isn’t a religious fanatic as feared by many that oppose the APC Muslim-Muslim ticket.

Ade Akintunde said; “The only reliable information about EMILOKAN, is that he is a man, the rest are OLUWOLE.”

Micheal said; “Thank God that Dino has confirmed that Tinubu is not a fanatical Muslim as people are portraiting him to be and Dino’s assertion has made a mess of him criticizing the Muslim-Muslim ticket.”

Babatunde Samson said; “If he’s not a Muslim then what is he? His not a Muslim but goes to Mecca regularly? He bears Moslem names,if his not a muslim but he associate with Muslims more than d Christians,d Muslims will want to use him even if he’s half Muslim, they will use d principle of Taqiya for him, all I know is Apc will fall, PDP will scatter for Peter Obi to raise a new Nigeria where peace and justice shall reigns! O God of creation makes this noble course come to pass in Jesus’ mighty name.”

Tinubu’s ‘Bala blu’ is used as an exam question at a Nigerian university (Photos)

A Nigerian university has included a gaffe by All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu in its examination questions, asking students about his ‘bala blu bulaba’ remark.

Recall that in November 2023, Tinubu, at an engagement in Imo, slurrily said “a town hall, different from “balablu-blu-blu-bulaba.”

The misspeak from the aspiring Nigerian leader became a ready instrument of humour among young Nigerians online who oppose Tinubu’s presidential ambition.

Nasarawa State University’s Keffi Center for Continuing Studies’ Department of Mass Communication included the question in their exams, asking students to relate it to their course material.

“‘Using the social media trending sarcastic statement: A Townhall, Different from Bala-Blu Blu-Blu Bula-Ba’,justify social judgement theory,” question 1 of the second semester examination for sophomore Mass Communication students of the Nasarawa State-owned university, read.

Per encyclopedia.com, the social judgement theory explains how attitudes are cognitively represented, the psychological processes involved in assessing persuasive communications, and the conditions under which communicated attitudes are either accepted or rejected.

The flag bearer of the ruling APC continues to evoke public concerns about his mental fitness to govern Africa’s most populous nation, ahead of next month’s poll where he will square of against co-septuagenarian, Atiku Abubakar of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party; Peter Obi of Labour Party and 15 other candidates.

His critics relentlessly hoist totems of his many incoherent and slurry statements as evidence of his unsuitability for Nigeria’s top job.

Tinubu, however, has repeatedly dismissed criticisms about his frail health, saying being Nigerian president is not grave digging that requires his physical strength.
