The young boy who stated in a statement his reason for standing in front of Peter Obi made a name for himself after his picture went viral.

The teenager’s courage moved Cubana Chief Priest to make a vow of making him a millionaire as he declares a search for him.

In an Instagram story, he wrote, “Me too I go like send am better thing. His life gotta change. Find him he must be made a millionaire. #LagosObidatti2023. History will never forget. I & my guys’ dey find the boy dude na national treasury.”

CCTV captures the moment when AKA was murdered (Video)

A CCTV captured the moment South African rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, professionally known as AKA, was shot dead hours after his death.

AKA was killed along with his close friend, chef and entrepreneur Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane, on their way to a nightclub for a birthday performance.

A CCTV around the premises on Florida Road, Durban, South Africa, showed the moment the rapper stepped out with a couple of friends before the attack.

The suspects came out of nowhere and shot AKA and his friend at close range multiple times before taking on their heels. The motive of the killing is being investigated.

Prior to his passing, the 35-year-old shared on social media about his upcoming album, “Mass Country,” which is slated to be released in the coming weeks.

In Lagos, Labour Party supporters were attacked.

Several Labour Party supporters were attacked by hoodlums on their way to Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) in Lagos for the party’s rally.

Labour Party supporters attacked, many severely injured in Lagos (Video)A video uploaded by Channels TV on Twitter has shown that supporters who had gone for the rally which Peter Obi had appeared at were attacked while making their way to TBS where the rally held.

It was earlier reported that tweeps had suspected an unusual activity on the Third Mainland Bridge where a faulty bus was allegedly planted to affect traffic and dissuade people from turning out for the event.

Some victims had been attacked by machete welding ruffians, and they could be seen receiving medical treatment from health personnel on the scene.

NAFDAC declares a skin bleaching emergency.

The widespread use of skin-bleaching creams in Nigeria has been declared a national health emergency by NAFDAC.

The declaration was made by Mojisola Adeyeye, the director-general of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, at the Kano Media Sensitization Workshop on the Dangers of Bleaching Creams and Regulatory Controls.

According to her,

“The World Health Organization study in 2018 revealed that the use of skin bleaching cream is prevalent amongst 77 percent of Nigerian women, which is the highest in Africa compared to 59 percent in Togo, 35 percent in South Africa and 27 percent in Senegal.

These scary statistics have shown that the menace of bleaching creams in Nigeria has become a national health emergency that requires a multi-faceted regulatory approach.
Part of the approach is consultative and not sensitization meetings like this. Another is a heightened raid on the cream outlets.”

A video making rounds on the internet captured the moment Tinubu was aided by the support of one of his team to stand during a campaign rally.

This, however, stirred mixed reactions from netizens who made a mockery of Tinubu’s health status as the 2023 elections is barely a month away.

Angry villagers beat camel to death for chewing off the owner’s head.

In Rajasthan, India, angry villagers beat a camel to death after severing its owner’s head.

The owner of the camel, identified as Sohanram Nayak, went to rein in the violent animal, and it attacked him throwing him to the ground according to The Times of India on Wednesday.

The camel lifted picked its owner by the neck and threw him on the ground, chewing his head.

This resulted in the villagers and the victim’s family beating the camel with sticks to calm it down with the fear of hurting another person, which lead to the death of the camel.

In the video of the incident which went viral, people armed with sticks tied the camel to a tree before beating it to death.

No complaint has been received so far with regard to killing. The man’s body was handed over to the family after post-mort.

EFCC re-arraigns skit maker Adeherself.

Adedamola Adewale, also known as Adeherself, is scheduled to be re-arrested this February by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged internet fraud of N7.9 million.

Adewale was charged with three counts of conspiracy to deceive, attempt to deceive, and retention of criminal proceeds, along with two others who are still at large.

Adeherself pleaded not guilty to the charges in front of Justice Mojisola Dada at the Ikeja Special Offences Court. The EFCC’s counsel, Samuel Daji, requested that the court detain the defendant until trial proceedings begin.

“My lord, this case was heard before Justice Sherifat Solebo before she retired, and when it was transferred to this honourable court, I informed my learned friend that the case would be coming up on Jan. 25.

“He said he thought it was the day before. This is a matter that is starting afresh before your lordship, and we do not know if the sureties, who stood for her earlier, are dead or not.

It is proper for the defence to apply afresh for bail before your lordship,” he said.

However, the defence attorney, Mr Kassim Molade, requested that the court maintain the bail previously granted by Solebo to the defendant until a new bail application can be filed. Molade stated that the defendant has attended all court appearances and is willing to participate in the trial.

“We passionately urge your lordship to allow the defendant to continue to enjoy the bail given to her by the sister court. The reason we were not here on Jan. 25 is that prosecution did not get back to me.

I assure your lordship that before the close of today, I will rush to the sister court to get a copy of the ruling on the bail application,” he said

As a result, the judge retained the bail previously granted to the defendant by Solebo in place until the defence counsel submits a new bail application.
