Nigerian Singer, Portable Slams Actress Iyabo Ojo Over ‘Single Mother’ Comments (Video)

Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, the controversial Nigerian singer, who is popularly known as Portable, has slammed actress Iyabo Ojo for commending single mothers.

The mother of two had praised single mothers, claiming that men are now after them as they have achieved a lot in life. She also stated that children of single mothers are now more successful.

Reacting to the clip, Portable disagreed with the actress. He argued that men are simply after the money that single mothers are making.

Portable further told the movie star, whose son-in-law had a concert a few days ago, that married women are more successful than single mothers.

Not stopping there, Portable pointed out that Iyabo Ojo was encouraging people to become single mothers, despite her daughter recently getting married to a Tanzanian singer.

He questioned the actress about the kind of advice she was giving to women and warned that she should offer better guidance.

According to the Zeh Nation boss, single mothers are heartbreakers, and men will only take money from them and sleep with them without intending to marry them.

He added that the money taken from single mothers would be used to care for married women at home.

Portable also inquired about the advice Iyabo Ojo was giving to young women who aspire to marry, suggesting that the actress might be encouraging them to leave their marriages after having one or two children.

“Which advice do you even want to give to the younger ones getting married? That they should be giving birth for different men?

“One child for one man, three children for three different men?” he asked.

Carter Efe’s Twitch Account Suspended Days After Becoming Africa’s Most-Followed Streamer

Popular Nigerian comedian Carter Efe’s Twitch account has been temporarily suspended, just days after his record-breaking livestream with Afrobeats star Davido.

The livestream, which took place on December 17, 2025, garnered significant attention online and enabled Carter Efe to become Africa’s most-followed Twitch streamer, with over 405,000 followers.

The comedian announced on Monday that Twitch had placed a four-month suspension on his account, citing violations of its Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

However, no specific details were provided regarding the alleged infractions.

The development comes shortly after Carter Efe surpassed fellow Nigerian content creators, including Shank Comics, and recorded one of the most-watched livestreams on the platform with Davido.

Following the announcement, fans and supporters flooded his social media pages with messages of solidarity, describing him as a “joy giver” and urging Twitch to review the decision.

While speculation has emerged online suggesting the suspension may have resulted from mass reporting linked to comments or antics during the livestream, reports of additional bans on other platforms were dismissed as false.

The suspension has sparked disappointment among fans, particularly as it comes during the festive season, with many calling for a swift resolution.

Nigerian Content Creator, Nons Miraj Speaks On Why She Dropped Her ‘Ada Jesus’ Character

Chinonso Ukah, the Nigerian content creator and entertainer popularly known as Nons Miraj, has explained why she chose to step away from the Ada Jesus character that initially brought her widespread recognition.

In a podcast with Taymesan, the skitmaker explained that while the character helped her gain popularity, it eventually restricted how people saw her.

Nons Miraj said she felt the need to evolve and show a different side of herself.

She noticed that the Ada Jesus persona attracted a certain type of audience that no longer matched her goals.

She wanted to reach a broader group and create content that reflected more aspects of her personality.

The entertainer also aimed to attract new connections in her personal life, hoping to meet people who appreciated her beyond the comedy skits.

“After the whole Ada Jesus thing, I was like, ‘What do I do again?’ because people will get tired of you turning people into yam and fish. I got tired, people were thinking I was old. My followers became old men, and I said I need to do something that will make them see all this fineness,”
she said.

“Men were attracted to the Ada Jesus character, but older men. I needed the fine bad boy to enter my DM, spend money on me, and let’s see if we can have a relationship.”

The decision to move on was also part of her effort to grow her brand and explore projects beyond the character that made her famous.

Nons Miraj, who hosts The Hunt Game Show, has built a reputation in comedy, acting, and digital content creation.

Her Ada Jesus skits were widely known for their humour and memorable performances.

She discussed the pressures of being in the public eye, saying that people often focus on large deals without understanding the responsibilities that come with them.

Nons Miraj revealed that her work required investing in projects and managing personal commitments, which can be challenging despite outward appearances of success.

The entertainer also mentioned changes in her personal relationships.

Some friendships shifted due to expectations and feelings of entitlement, leading her to distance herself from certain friends.

She explained that while she values her friends, she realized she needed to set boundaries to protect her energy.

Fuji Legend, KWAM1 Loses Bid To Block Awujale Selection Process

The Ogun State High Court in Ijebu-Ode on Monday declined to grant popular Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde, also known as KWAM1, an interim injunction seeking to stop Governor Dapo Abiodun and five others from continuing with the selection and installation of the next Awujale of Ijebuland.

Ayinde, represented in court by Wahab Shittu (SAN), had sought the injunction pending the hearing of his substantive suit challenging the selection process.

But  Justice A. A. Omoniyi dismissed the application, holding that the interim injunction lacked merit and that there were no strong grounds to justify its grant.

He subsequently ordered the expedited hearing of the substantive matter, fixing 14 January 2026 for proceedings.
KWAM1 had declared his interest in the vacant Awujale stool, claiming lineage from the Jadiara Royal House of the wider Fusengbuwa Ruling House.

However, the Fusengbuwa ruling house rejected his claim, stating that he is not from the royal house.

To challenge what he perceived as injustice, Ayinde filed a suit against the Fusengbuwa ruling house, Governor Abiodun, the Chairman of Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Dare Alebiosu, and three others.

The other respondents include the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ganiyu Hamzat; Secretary of Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Oke Adebanjo; and the Chairman of the Awujale Interregnum Administrative Council, Dr Olorogun Sunny Kuku.

The suit, HC3/238/2025, was filed ex parte, citing Order 38 Rules 4 and Order 39 Rule 1 of the High Court of Ogun State (Civil Procedure) Rules 2024, Section 36 of the 1999 Constitution, and the court’s inherent jurisdiction

A copy of the court document dated 16 December 2025 was obtained by our correspondent.

Ayinde urged the court to restrain all respondents from further action on the Awujale selection process to protect his interest and preserve the res from being dissipated or interfered with.

He prayed the court to restrain the respondents, “their agents, or anyone acting on their behalf, from taking any steps in the installation process of the next Awujale of Ijebuland pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit.”

The musician said he is an aspirant to the Awujale stool, “and the injunction is necessary to secure his interest and preserve the res from being dissipated or interfered with by the respondents.”

With the interim injunction denied, attention now turns to the substantive hearing

scheduled for 14 January 2026, which will determine the fate of KWAM1’s claim to the Awujale stool.
