Wizkid Postpones the Release of “More Love Less Ego”

Wizkid has moved the release date of his album “More Love Less Ego,” so fans will have to wait a little longer, but as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait. See the updated date below.

Despite not being announced, the album is currently set to release on November 14th, as indicated by the date on the version that can be pre-ordered on Apple Music.

It appears that the project’s release date was moved from its previous date of the 4th of November to the 14th in sympathy with fellow megastar and colleague, Davido, over the loss of his son, Ifeanyi. Wizkid is known for moving release dates, and he has already moved the release of this album twice in the past. This action is implied by the fact that on the day the news first broke, Wizkid and Burna Boy both erased tweets advertising their respective ventures. Wizkid has since since not posted about his new album with a message of many sorrowful emojis being the sole item on his Instastory so far.

Does Burna Boy and Wizkid have a beef?

The internet is heating up as Burna Boy uses his Instagram story to post a message that may or may not be directed at Wizkid about his financial standing and standards. Details in our story below, in full.

Wizkid’s early morning speech may or may not be in line with Burna Boy, a Nigerian megastar, who just released a fresh declaration outlining his standards and value for money.

Burna Boy, known for his online outbursts, shared a new memo with the world via his Instagram story, teasing that he was too wealthy for some conversations. This prompted speculation, which has since picked up steam. The artist declared: “If you didn’t earn $100M this year, I can’t talk money with you. Just take a seat and smoke a BRKFST.”

It’s interesting that Wizkid’s Sunday morning Snapchat rouser, “I can quit touching the mic today and y’all lil niggas still can’t touch the wealth! Even if you beg ur dad and mom for help #morelovelessego #everybody’s daddy,” comes right after this remark.

Additionally, immediately after Burna Boy made his comments, Wizkid posted a mysterious comment on his Instagram story that said, “Small yansh dey shake o,” along with multiple laughing emojis.

Burna Boy and Wizkid have collaborated on a number of songs, including Ginger and Ballon D’Or, and have openly expressed a positive friendship and working connection. These online subliminals appear to have cast doubt on the minds of their respective fanbases, though. We won’t stop following the story even though we can’t determine for sure if the two acts are at odds.

Kunle Afolayan: “Netflix Wants Me To Create Anikulapo Series”

Popular Nollywood performer Kunle Afolayan has disclosed that the international streaming service Netflix wants him to make an Anikulapo television series.
In an interview with the Guardian UK today, the award-winning director stated as much, adding that he was confident “Anikulapo,” the picture he had been working on for six years, will be a box office success.

On September 30, 2022, “Anikulapo,” a Netflix original movie set in the ancient Oyo kingdom of the seventeenth century, had its premiere. A week later, with a total of 8.7 million streaming hours, it had surpassed all other non-English movies on the service.

In “Anikulapo,” Kunle Afolayan, who starred his daughter Eyiyemi Afolayan, 17, said that he originally intended to make it into a series, but Netflix persuaded him to first make it a feature film. If the film was successful, he could then turn it into a series.

“I’ve been working on Aníkúlápó for six years. Originally, I wanted to make a series, but I shopped it and kept telling people that this movie would be bigger than Game of Thrones,” Afolayan said.

“Eventually, Netflix told me to make a movie first since I believed in the project that much, and if it became a success, we’d develop a series.

“Right now, Netflix is the one urging me to start making the series. I knew we made a great film and that it’d start conversations, but I didn’t know it’d do as well as it has done,” he added.
