Your Mandate Can Only Be Delayed But Not Denied – Mr P Sends Message To Peter Obi After Defeat To Tinubu

Nigerian superstar singer, Paul Okoye has sent a message to Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, and his supporters after INEC declared Bola Tinubu as the winner of the presidential elections.

Mr. Okoye, in a message he shared on Wednesday evening, called for calm among supporters, urging them to give room for peace.

Obi came third in the election, according to the results read out by the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Mahmood Yakubu on Wednesday morning.

Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC polled a total of 8,794,726 to defeat his closest rivals and candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Atiku Abubakar and Obi who scored 6,984, 520 and 6,101,533 respectively.

There are rumours of plans for a massive protest across the country over the results released by INEC, which many electorates believe are different from what happened at the polling units across the country on Saturday.

There is also anger over INEC’s failure to use the BVAS and transmit results from the polling units to its portal.

“Dear H.E @PeterObi your mandate can only be delayed, but cannot be denied.

“Please, my fellow obedient, be calm, we live to fight another day, so please embrace peace.

“Let’s all allow the right people of the law to handle the case. Thank you Nigerians.”

You’re not courageous, or brave, or strong in the face of adversity. You’re ignorant. And proud.”

The recently concluded election in Nigeria has been a trending topic of discussion among many, including celebrities.

According to Ashmushy, some people seemed to have taken the election personally, especially when choosing a candidate.

However, the comedienne believes the election was not about personal preferences but the desperate need for a better Nigeria.

She wrote: I’m not sure some people took the election personal…Like choosing peter obi was a personal thing…as if it was about his looks or tri#be or something personal.

It was freaking about desperately wanting a batter Nigeria! Don’t you get it? We didn’t want the same circle of old men ruling us over and over, with all they have put us through…with the young starts that died in October 2020 and many more

The fight was for a better Nigeria, not Mr. peter APC lovers be thinking it’s personal. So Bro. Sis, if Tinubu ends up leading us for the next four years, go on your knees and beg him to make Nigeria better for us; that is all we want.
