Zlatan Ibile Reveals The Singer That Gave Him Career Breakthrough

Nigerian singer and rapper, Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, aka Zlatan Ibile has revealed how he got his career breakthrough.
According to him, his 2017 collaborative song with Olamide, ‘My Body’ was the turning point of his career.
He said the YBNL boss giving him a verse was “life-changing.”
Speaking in a recent interview with popular YouTuber, Korty EO, Zlatan recounted how he kept on begging Olamide for a collaboration via his social media DM and how it eventually happened despite initial disappointments.
He said, “Olamide giving me a verse at that time was life-changing for me. I was always tracking him and begging him in the DM for a verse.
 
“He gave me appointments twice but they didn’t materialise until the third time. He invited me to his house and because I was doing more rap, I thought we would be doing a rap song, then all of a sudden, Olamide started singing an Afrobeats song, ‘My Body.’ He did that because he knew it was what would make me an instant star.
 
“I recorded my verse and that was how my story changed.”

Popular YouTuber PC Siqueira Kills Himself Following Child Abuse Images Investigation (Photo)

A popular YouTuber has reportedly committed suicide.
Paulo Cezar Goulart Siqueira, known as PC Siqueira took his life amid an investigation into images of child abuse in Brazil.
Paulo Cezar Goulart Siqueira, known as PC Siqueira to his two million subscribers, died on Wednesday afternoon, December 27, at the age of 37.
It is believed that the social media performer was found dead by his ex-girlfriend, Maria Watanabe, in his Sao Paulo apartment.
According to local media reports, the distressed ex-partner begged for neighbours to help her as they called the police.
Coroners have recorded his death as a suicide and it came just two days after he posted a heartfelt message on Instagram.
His death comes as the internet star, known for social media content, presenting work, and comic book colouring, was facing an investigation for child pornography after the alleged leak of private messages in 2020.

Brazil’s Public Security Secretariat had previously confirmed on December, 6: ‘The case continues to be investigated by the 4th Pedophilia Repression Police Station of the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP).
 
‘Details about the progress of the investigation will be preserved, due to the secrecy decreed by the Court.’
PC Siqueira denied the accusation, according to local media.
According to local media, Siqueira was accused of sharing sick photos of a six-year-old child on June 10, 2020.
It is believed that an anonymous X account released phone screen recordings where he could supposedly be seen talking to a friend about what was alleged.
He reportedly deactivated his YouTube channel after providing a statement to police, Brazilian newspaper O Globo reported.
On June 10, 2022 a Twitter profile published an exchange of messages allegedly involving PC Siqueira.
In the conversation, he reports that he received images of a naked child.
After the prints were released, PC Siqueira took to social media to state that it was not true, according to local reports.
‘I was taken by surprise when I saw my name being used by a criminal organization, which tried to accuse me of something terrible, which I never committed or would commit’, wrote PC Siqueria.
Then, the alleged YouTube reportedly released audios stating that he ‘must have a trace’ of pedophilia were shared on the internet.
‘It’s very bizarre, because, before yesterday, I was accused of racism. Now, I’m going to be the pedophile, because… Yeah, I kind of have a trace of that, because I looked at a girl’s ass and, in amidst the situation, the virtual sex, that made me arroused’, reports Globo.
After the audio was released by journalist Erlan Bastos, PC deleted the message from Instagram, but the statement remained on the YouTuber’s Facebook page in 2020.
Cauê Moura and Rafinha Bastos, who participated in the Ilha dos Barbados channel with PC Siqueira, announced the cancellation of the project.
They said: ‘we are perplexed and disappointed’.
On June 15, 2020 PC made a post in his Instagram stories in which he quotes an excerpt from the song ‘You Want It Darker’, by Leonard Cohen. ‘You want darker, we kill the flame’ (You want more darkness, we put out the flame).
In 2021, the Superintendence of the Technical-Scientific Police of the Public Security Secretariat of Sao Paulo reportedly said it found no evidence to incriminate him for paedophilia.
It gathered that the investigation was under judicial secrecy before he took his own life.

Missing 8-year-old Boy Found Dead in Kaduna (Photo)

A little boy of 8 who went missing in Zaria, Kaduna has been found dead.
Ibrahim Muntaka Ibrahim, was found dead near a river bank.
Ibrahim, who was said to be autistic, went out on an errand around 4pm on Wednesday, December 27, 2023,  and did not come back.
Spokesperson of the Kaduna State Police Command, Mansir Hassan, who confirmed the development, debunked rumours that his eyes and private parts were removed.
The PPRO, in an interview with Daily Trust, said the corpse of the boy was found along Kwarin Dangoma river bank, bordering Zaria and Sabon Gari Local Government Area on Thursday, December 28.
A medical doctor, Prof. Aminu Mohammed Kutugi, who is also married to the boy’s aunt also debunked rumours that some body parts were removed.
“The allegation that some parts of the boy were removed was not true. I want to appeal to the people to desist from spreading unnecessary rumour without thorough investigation,” he said.
Also speaking, Imam Muhammad Sani Abdurrahaman who bathed the corpse of the boy, said “the eyes, private parts and all other organs were intact when I bathed him before funeral prayers.
 
“I only discovered some blood in some parts of the corpse which might be as a result of minor wounds he sustained due to where he was discovered,” he said.
 
“I therefore urged people to always refrain from spreading unfounded allegations based on mere speculation.”

Guinness World Record for Longest Cooking Marathon Broken Again (Photo)

A chef from Uganda has become the third person to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Cooking Marathon.
Ugandan chef Dorcus Mirembe, popularly known as Mama D, broke the record set by the Irish chef, Alan Fisher, in November.
The Irishman cooked for nearly 120 hours.
Mama D’s current cooking time is 124 hours and counting. Mama D is still cooking and plans to cook till the new year.  If she succeeds, she would have cooked non-stop for 9 days.
In May this year, Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, cooked for 93 hours, 11 minutes. Then, Alan Fisher dethroned her to become the record holder in November.
Though Mama D, the Uganda chef, has broken Fisher’s record, her status as the Longest Cooking Marathon record holder will not be official until she is certified by the Guinness World Record.

President Tinubu Directs Ministry Of Humanitarian Affairs To Provide Reliefs To Plateau Communities Attacked By Terrorists

President Bola Tinubu has instructed the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation to work in tandem with the Plateau State Government to offer humanitarian assistance to the survivors of the tragic attacks and the impacted communities.

Dr Betta Edu, the minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation made this known in a statement issued on Wednesday, describing the incident, as senseless, horrendous and inhuman.

She explained that the ministry would be unrelenting to ensure that every Nigerian and all parts of Nigeria experiencing humanitarian crises are catered to by the current administration.

The statement reads; “Following the Christmas Eve alleged massacre, by unknown assailants, of over 100 innocent persons in about 15 communities in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi local government areas of Plateau, the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu has condoled with the government and people of Plateau state.

“It was with utter shock and sadness that I received the news of the barbaric, horrendous and senseless attacks in plateau communities which have left over 100 people dead and injured many while many more are displaced.

“I condole with the government and people of plateau state, especially families of the victims of this unnecessary assault on humanity and pray for a permanent peace in the plateau

“One can only imagine the difficulties and indignities as well as catastrophic humanitarian challenges facing the survivors and affected members of the communities.

“As a Ministry directly in charge of responding to humanitarian challenges of citizens in Nigeria, the federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation has been directed by President Bola Tinubu to collaborate with the Plateau state government to bring humanitarian succour to the survivors of the unfortunate attacks as well as the affected communities,” the statement added.

SaharaReporters earlier reported how the Chairman of Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, Monday Kassa said that the death toll from the multiple attacks on communities in the local government area had risen to 125.

Also, the Chairman of Barkin Ladi local government area, Danjuma Dakil, said that the death toll from the attacks in the area had risen to 30, from 17 as earlier reported.

Kassa who confirmed the latest death toll update on the phone with newsmen said “up to this moment, our people are still in the bush searching for missing ones. Today we have recovered more than 20 bodies from the bushes and the search is not over yet.”

I Don’t Have Friends, Sometimes I Stay A Whole Day And My Phone Won’t Ring – BBNaija’s Phyna (Video)

Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has disclosed that she does not have friends and spends most of her time alone.

She made this known during an exclusive interview with her colleague and podcast host, Doyin Davids.

Phyna highlighted a disparity between her social media persona and her real-life connections, revealing that despite her lively presence online, she doesn’t actually have many friends in reality.

She explained; “I’m always lively on social media, but off-camera, I spend most of my time alone. I don’t have friends.”

She admitted that while she did have friends before, some distanced themselves after her time on the show, while others had expectations that she couldn’t meet.

“Before entering the show, I didn’t have many friends either. Now, I find myself mostly alone,” she added.

Akeredolu: Things To Know About Ex-NBA President Who Was Elected Twice As Ondo Governor

Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the Governor of Ondo State, died on Wednesday, December 27.

The Ondo State Government has confirmed the death of the governor. The confirmation came several hours after news of his death went viral.

In a statement issued by the state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mrs Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, the governor gave up the ghost in Germany on Wednesday after battling prostate cancer. He reportedly died at age 67.

The governor, who has faced criticism for his decision to withhold power from his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, commenced his medical leave in June. The leave was subsequently prolonged based on medical advice.

He formally transferred authority to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and went on another medical vacation on Wednesday, December 13.

Known affectionately as Aketi, Akeredolu had a profound impact on the nation’s political climate. His public life trajectory includes advocacy, legal practice, serving as president of the Nigerian Bar Association, and winning two terms as governor of Ondo State.

1.  He was born on July 21, 1956, in Owo, Ondo State.

Political and Professional Career

10. Aketi has been the Governor of Ondo State since February 24, 2017.

11. He served as the Secretary-General of the Nigerian Bar Association Ibadan branch from 1985-1986.

12. From 1997 to 1999, Akeredolu was Ondo State’s attorney general. In 1998, he was appointed as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. From 2005 to 2006, he presided over the Legal Aid Council as its chairman.

13. He also served as the President of the Nigerian Bar Association between 2008 and 2009.

14. He was the Vice Chairman of the Ibadan branch of the NBA in 1991 and Chairman from 1992 to 1994.

15. He was a Managing Partner at the law firm of Olujinmi & Akeredolu.

16. He was awarded the national honour of Commander of the Order of the Niger in October 2022.

Significant achievements

17. Security and Advocacy

Aketi was at the forefront of the establishment of the Regional Security Network, Amotekun, to address security concerns, with plans to recruit more personnel. On January 9, 2020, the six state governors of Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, and Ekiti in Nigeria jointly established Amotekun.

The operatives of a security outfit have been actively supporting the police, other security agencies, and traditional rulers in their efforts to combat various criminal activities in the region. These activities include terrorism, banditry, armed robbery, and kidnapping. Additionally, the operatives have been instrumental in resolving conflicts between herdsmen and farmers in the area.

18. Infrastructure

The dualisation of Oke-Alabojuto Road in Ikare-Akoko, reconstruction of Emure to Owo Road, and various road constructions in different parts of Ondo state. Also, there was notable infrastructural investment and accreditation of previously unaccredited courses at the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo.

19. Economy

His administration established the Ondo-Linyil Industrial Hub in Ore. He also promoted agribusiness, subsidies on tractors, land clearing, and various projects to empower farmers and youth.

20. Akeredolu died on December 27, 2023, after reportedly battling prostate cancer for several months.
