World-famous Nigerian singer, Davido, who is the CEO of the DMW record label, has followed Lil Frosh, his former signee, on Instagram amidst plea for contract reinstatement.
This is coming hours after Lil Frosh took to social media to beg Davido for another chance to revive his career after damaging assault case.
Daily Post reports that Davido terminated his Lil Frosh contract with DMW record label in 2020 following alleged assault on his ex-girlfriend, Gift Camille.
On his social media page on Saturday, Lil Frosh told his side of the story, two years after the incident which led to the termination of his contract at DMW Records.
He further urged his former boss for reinstatement.
Following his plea for reinstatement, Davido followed him back on Instagram.
A check by DAILY POST on his profile confirmed that Davido has followed Lil Frosh on Instagram.
Lil Frosh, a Nigerian singer who is a former signee of Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), has publicly appealed to his former boss for a second chance.
Recall that in 2020, Lil Frosh was accused of assault by his ex, Gift Camille.
Camille’s brother, Michael in a series of posts on social media, alleged that Lil Frosh assaulted Camille on several occasions.
He shared pictures of his sister’s badly bruised face.
The singer was later arraigned before a Yaba magistrate court and remanded in Ikoyi prison.
Reacting to the development, Davido terminated Lil Frosh’s contract with his record label, DMW.
Camille later withdrew her case against Lil Frosh in 2022, after settling out of court.
However, on Saturday in a post on his Instagram page, the singer claimed innocence and begged Davido for another chance to revive his career.
“God knows I didn’t beat Gemini, I was framed, I was blackmailed. I still can’t get my career after all I paid her because of the lies that were told against me.
“Nobody gave me listening ears. I tried to explain to my ex-boss @davido but he didn’t want to listen because of his zero tolerance for hitting women. Help me beg Davido to give me a chance again.”
Ayinla Kollington, a veteran fuji singer, made headlines earlier this week amid rumors suggesting he had succumbed to an undisclosed illness.
However, the fuji star quickly refuted the claims when he appeared in a video made on his hospital bed at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital in Ikeja.
In the video, which went viral on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, the singer, who is also known as Kebe-n-Kwara, thanked the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; as well as staff of LASUTH.
He said, “I want to thank Lagosians. I also want to thank the Lagos State Government and the management of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, as well as the team under the leadership of Adetokunbo Fabanwo. It is only God that can save life, but I want to appreciate him and the team, because I would have gone to the great beyond.”
Reacting to the video, a fan identified as Agboola said, “Baba kebe, I wish you quick recovery.”
Another fan, Owoyemi, wrote, “Baba, it is because you are a public figure. God will heal you; but this is not the same treatment they give to others.”

Actress and filmmaker Jaiye Kuti generated considerable attention recently when she revealed that numerous married women, herself included, have contemplated leaving their marriages.
She disclosed that she personally attempted to exit her marriage on three occasions.
However, in an interview with Saturday Beats, she stated that the only way to handle challenges in marriage was through understanding and forgiveness.
She said, “I actually wanted people to know that marriage is not a bed of roses. I want women to know that understanding has 150 per cent to do in the success of every marriage, because love is not enough. Yes, you need to love one another. But, there will be a time when you will look at each other, and wonder how you got married in the first place. That is the point where understanding comes in. Both spouses will have to understand that everybody is human, and are prone to mistakes. If the parties involved are not ready to forgive each other, they won’t be able to sustain the marriage.
“What if your husband cheats? Even men that don’t cheat could have other issues. I have been married for over 20 years. If I add the period of our courtship, that will be 25 years. My husband actually sponsored my education at the University of Lagos before we got married in 2000.”
The actress added that young ones should have it at the back of their minds that they would not get 100 per cent happiness, love or romance.
Reacting to women who claim that their marriages will not have challenges because of their religious beliefs, Kuti said, “There is nothing like Jesus will not let my marriage be like that. It (marriage) has been ordained to have those challenges, whether one likes it or not, and whether one is a Christian, Muslim or even atheists. Marriages usually have challenges, and one just has to take it that way.”

Simi Kosoko, the popular Nigerian Singer, has revealed that she does not charge artists for a feature.
Simi made this known in a recent episode of the Tea With Tay podcast.
According to the mother of one, she’s selective of the kind of songs she features in and will only feature in the song if she really likes it.
“Till this moment, I have never charged for a feature. For me to do a feature I have to really like it.
“I have to like the song. If I like the song, give me half a day, I am done. If I don’t like the song I will most likely say no. It’s not personal. I can take a ‘No. Things are not personal, it’s just what it is .”
Simi Kosoko, the popular Nigerian singer, who is simply known as Simi, has said she is in support of intending couples living together before marriage.
She explained that cohabiting would allow an intending couple to know each other better before deciding to get married.
Speaking in the latest episode of the Tea With Tay podcast, Simi revealed that she was cohabiting with her husband, Adekunle Gold before they got married.
She said, “I used to go over to Adekunle Gold’s place for us to spend time together.
“I am of the opinion that… Maybe I shouldn’t share this opinion because I feel like religious people might not agree with me. I personally think that people who want to get married should live together for a little bit before they do that. Because I don’t think you really know someone that you’re going to marry until you cohabit. The way someone is when they are outside in their best behaviour is different from how they are when they are cranky and they haven’t eaten or when they wake up in the morning or when they are snoring.
“When you live with someone you know all the sides to them, that is when you really know if you can do forever with them. Millions of people have gotten married without living together. But I personally think it’s a good idea to cohabit before marriage. It doesn’t have to be for long.”
