In a recent interview, Afrobeat musician Davido made a false statement.
According to him, there are just three tribes in Nigeria: the Yoruba, Igbo, and Benin.
We have three tribes in Nigeria, according to Davido, who made a mistake yesterday in Lagos while hosting well-known American content producer Kai Cenat, who is in the country for a documentary. Yoruba is one of them. He is Yoruba, my father. Furthermore, you are actually from Nigeria, wherever your father is from. That makes my father Yoruba. My wife is an Igbo woman. In addition, my mum comes from Benin. I am a member of three tribes.
The National Bureau of Statistics stated that there are 371 tribes in Nigeria, the majority of which are Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba, refuting the Timeless singer’s assertion.
