Sen Nwoko Debunks Death Rumours

The lawmaker representing Delta North in the Senate, Ned Nwoko has debunked reports circulating that he died in Switzerland.

The husband of actress Regina Daniels, in a statement on Friday in Abuja, said that the reports were entirely false and malicious.

”In recent weeks, I have also been subjected to unwarranted insults and accusations regarding the purchase of a car for a little content creator.

“These claims are baseless and misleading. Whether this is a misguided joke or a deliberate act of malice, it has gone too far and will not be tolerated.

“I am taking immediate legal action against those spreading these falsehoods. Arrests will be made, and anyone involved should be prepared to face the consequences.

“This is not a matter of influence; it is about holding those responsible accountable for their harmful actions.”

Nwoko warned “I will not tolerate any attempts to malign my character or to downplay the seriousness of this situation.

“If you are involved in these activities, expect to face legal repercussions without delay.”

Popular actress, Tonto Dikeh has been reportedly invited for alleged multiple crimes.
She was invited by the police for alleged crimes, including defamation, forgery and others.
Photos of the letter of invitation by the police has been made making the rounds on the internet after being reported by various news outlets.
It read:
“This office is investigating a case of Criminal De@mation, Forgery, Falsehood,
Cyberbullying and Criminal Conversion reported to the Inspector General of Police in which your name and others featured prominently.
 
2. In view of the above, you are kindly requested to interview the undersigned through Sp. Amin Abdullahi Sokoto on 7′ August, 2024 by 10:00hrs, to shed more light on the allegation.
 
Your usual cooperation in this regard would be highly appreciated, please”
 
However, the veteran Bollywood actress is, at the time of writing, yet to make any statement as regards the allegations.

US Rapper Travis Scott Arrested In Paris After Fight With Security Guard

Popular American rapper, Travis Scott was on Friday, arrested over a fight at a five-star hotel in the French capital, prosecutors said.

“Policemen were called to the Georges V hotel and arrested Travis Scott for violence against a security agent. The latter had intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguard,” the Paris prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

It was not immediately clear if the 33-year-old singer was being detained.

Scott was seen attending the Olympics men’s basketball semi-finals on Thursday evening.

The music star, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster, was arrested in Miami Beach in June for trespassing and disorderly intoxication, records showed.

Scott’s “Utopia” was a nominee for best rap album at this year’s Grammy Awards.

Other endeavours include merchandising deals with Nike, video game maker Epic Games and McDonald’s fast food.

Scott has two children with social media giant and business mogul, Kylie Jenner.

I Was Paralysed, Almost Had Miscarriage – Cardi B Suffers ‘Freak Accident’

Cardi B, the world-famous American rapper, has revealed that she almost had a miscarriage following a recent “freak accident.”

The hip-hop star, who didn’t specify the nature of the accident, however, said it left her paralysed.

“I had a f*cking freak accident. It doesn’t really happen often, but it became something that was so big to the point I was literally paralyzed. It almost cost me my little one to come,” she said during a recent chat with fans on X.

Cardi B, who recently announced her third pregnancy, said that thankfully, the incident didn’t result in a miscarriage. However, she came home from the hospital “high as a kite” because she took morphine to help deal with the pain.

The rapper said she wouldn’t hesitate to return to the hospital if the symptoms pain persist.

This comes after Cardi B confirmed that her husband, Offset, is the father of the third child she’s expecting amid her divorce from the Migos rapper.

Cardi B and Offset secretly married in 2017 and have since welcomed two children together: daughter Kulture, 6, and son, Wave, 2, with a third baby on the way.

Cardi B is seeking primary custody of their children in the divorce filing, according to American outlet, People.

I Lost Myself After Mum’s Death – Wizkid Says

Ayodeji Balogun, the world-famous, Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, who is also known as Wizkid, is still mourning the loss of his mum, Mrs Jane Morayo Balogun and it was palpable in his latest collaborative song with Asake, ‘MMS’.

On his verse, Wizkid takes listeners on a melancholic ride as he shares how his mother’s death has transformed him.

 

 

The singer disclosed that he “lost” himself after his mum died but found his purpose.

 

 

“You no fit run from who you are

Man, wetin go be, man, is cast in stone….

Why mama leave me, yeah, e no long

Lost myself and I found my purpose

Recall that Wizkid’s mother, Jane Morayo Balogun, died on August 18, 2023, in London.

Remembering her on her posthumous birthday on July 4th, Wizkid lamented that his life was empty without his mother.

He highlighted that he misses her every day, stressing that his heart is broken forever.

Wizkid had announced that he would release a new album in memory of his late mother.

The album is titled ‘Morayo’, his mother’s middle name.

Ahmed Ololade, the world-famous Afrobeats singer, who is popularly known as Asake, has revealed that his Grammy-winning colleague, Wizkid is one of his music inspirations.

He disclosed this while relishing his collaboration with the ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner in this newly-released third studio album, ‘Lungu Boy.’

On the side note of their collaborative song on the project, ‘MMS’, on digital streaming platforms, Asake revealed that he has been eager to collaborate with Wizkid.

He wrote: “It’s no secret that Wizkid is one of my music inspirations. As a young striving artiste in Lagos, I’ve been waiting for that right song so when the opportunity came it was a no brainer.

Yesterday, the duo had exchanged words after the Onyeka accused the former of gossiping with her name behind her back.
Wanni who was enraged by the accusation, branded Onyeka a “childish b*tch” for daring to face her while insisting that she spoke about her in her presence.

Wanni’s twin sister, Handi berated her for escalating the argument with Onyeka and calling her a “b*tch.”
Following her advice, Wanni then decided to apologise to Onyeka.
She specifically apologised for calling her a “b*tch.”
Wanni explained that she’s working on her emotions, stressing that she’s always pissed when people she considers friends hurt her.
She said, “I got very mad, that was why I used ‘B’ word and because I consider us friends. And when my friends do something to me, I get very emotional.
 
“From the start, I shouldn’t have come at you like that. You were mad and you had every right to say what you said. I should have explained to you. When I came back to call you ‘B’ word, I’m very sorry about that.
 
“I’m still working on controlling my emotions. And by God’s grace I will achieve it. I shouldn’t have called you the ‘B’ word. I shouldn’t have spoken to you the way I responded to you at the table. This week has been weird and I felt it. Moving forward, maybe we will spend time with you guys and you guys will understand me more. I’m very very peaceful. Extremely peaceful. Trust me, Onyeka, if I have something to say to you, I will say it in your front. I don’t go behind people to say something. I’m not like that.”
After listening to her, Onyeka accepted her apology.

I Had An Amazing Career – Mikel Obi Reflects On Spell At Chelsea

John Mikel Obi, a former Super Eagles captain, has reflected on his successful stint at Chelsea.

Mikel was on the books of the Premier League giants for 11 years.

The 37-year-old won multiple titles including two Premier League titles, four FA Cups, one Champions League and one UEFA Europa League.

Mikel’s move to Stamford Bridge was held up for around one year following a transfer tussle involving Chelsea and Manchester United.

The issue was later resolved with the midfielder joining Chelsea in a deal worth £16m in June 2006.

Mikel reflected on the infamous transfer saga between the two clubs.

“It was a massive relief. Obviously, it was going on for almost a year, I couldn’t play for any club because of the whole saga,” he told the obionepodcast.

“But after that was settled, it was a massive relief for me and I joined the club that I really wanted to play for, which was Chelsea. And I just couldn’t wait to be unveiled as a Chelsea player, because it was taking such a long time to get settled.

“But after that was done, you know, I was happy to be here. Amazing career. Had won everything to be won. And my memory here is absolutely fantastic. I will never, never trade it for anything.”
