Popular Nigerian singer/songwriter, Simi has penned an advice for a 22-year-old fan who asked for help in her relationship.
In a Snapchat session with her fans, the singer and mother of one posted the story of a fan who asked for her advice in navigating her relationship with a 30-year-old single dad.
The message reads:
“I’m a 22 year old college student and recently started dating a 30 year old guy who has a kid. I really really lhe him a lot. Like I feel we are so compatible, but I know my parents will be so against it. What do you think I do in this situation?”
Reacting to her message, Simi penned a lengthy advice, noting that she should not date him just because she loves him but consider other things.
This has generated reactions from fans who stated that it is hard to date a single dad while others advised her to focus on her life and leave the single dad alone.

Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, the Nigerian singer, who is popularly known as Oxlade, has claimed that he started singing before he could talk.
Featuring in a recent episode of the ’90s Babies’ podcast, Oxlade claimed his parents told him that.
He explained that as a child he sang faster than he could follow up with talks.
“I started singing before I started talking. My parents told me that I started singing before I could even talk,” he explained.
“I sang faster than catching up with talks. That was what my parents told me. I feel like that was where it [my talent] all started from.”
She further claimed that Eke was so desperate to provide content that she forced a relationship with Whitemoney and kissed Pere and Kiddwaya.
The family of the late Afropop star IleriOluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, has requested that Pastor Larry Omodia, the promoter of the ‘Sing for Mohbad’ concert, postpone the event until the substantive application in the case is heard.
In a statement, Mohbad’s father, Mr. Joseph Aloba, explained that Omodia and his agents should not commercialize the death of the Afropop star pending the determination of the originating motion for interlocutory injunction.
According to the family: “In the motion with suit number HCT/871/2024, which was argued by Emmanuel Oroko, Esq., for the applicant, Mr. Joseph Aloba stated that Justice Osunfisan ordered as follows: ‘An‘ order of interim injunction is hereby granted restraining the respondent, whether by himself, servants, agents, assigns, or otherwise however called, from holding any event titled ‘Sing for Mohbad and Win’ organized by the respondent, which is set to be held on the 12th, 13, and 14 of September 2024 at Aqua Lounge or any other place pending the determination of the originating motion for interlocutory injunction dated and filed on the 6th September 2024. The order of interim injunction hereby granted on the 12th day of September 2024 is to last for 7 days following the provision of the Rules of Court.”
Earlier, the public was advised to respect the solemn period and not to commercialize the occasion by using the goodwill of their son.
The matter has been adjourned to October 7, 2024, for the hearing of the originating motion for interlocutory injunction.
