‘Morayo’, the album of Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Wizkid has debuted on Billboard 200 chart.
Morayo entered the chart at 98th position with 13,000 units sold in its 1st week.
Announcing the new feat, Chart Data via X wrote “Wizkid’s ‘Morayo’ debuts at 98 on this week’s Billboard 200 (13K sold).”
Morayo became Wizkid’s fourth album to debut on the chart.
‘Morayo’, which was released on November 22, 2024, is a tribute to Wizkid’s late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who died in August 2023.

Popular Nigerian skit maker and activist, Debo Adedayo, better known as Mr Macaroni, has taken a swipe at corrupt politicians in the country who loot public funds for personal purposes.
The movie star, in a post via his X handle, alleged that Nigerian politicians have stolen and are still stealing billions of Naira from the nation’s purse.
Macaroni stated that despite no consequence for the politicians’ actions, it is painful that some Nigerians have continued to defend the acts of the politicians who do not care about the existence of the masses.
The thespian described the looting of public funds as ‘greed and wickedness’ and questioned how the country is supposed to get better when politicians are stealing from the treasury.
He wrote, “Nigerian Politicians have stolen and are still stealing billions and trillions from the Nation’s purse. Unfortunate enough as it is that there are Zero Consequences for these actions, it is torturous that the people whose treasury are being looted continue to defend Politicians who absolutely do not care about their existence.
“How can you comfortably loot public funds enough to change the standard of living of millions of the people you ought to serve selflessly?
What type of greed and wickedness is this? How exactly is the Country supposed to get better when our Politicians just want to steal!!!

Popular Nigerian singer, Timaya has recounted how he purchased a key holder for a Bentley at Bishop David Oyedepo’s Shiloh, despite not being able to afford the luxury ride at the time.
He shared this during a recent interview with Naija FM 102. 7, stating that one should profess positively for good things to happen in their lives.
During the interview, he had revealed that Burna Boy had sent out his female colleagues, Omawumi and Waje for doubting his belief about flying private jets.
Sharing how his own faith had brought about good fortune for him, he revealed that before he got his Bentley, he first got a key for it during Bishop Oyedepo’s Shiloh.
“Nothing Burna Boy is doing now surprises me. The guy is fearless. There was one time when Burna Boy, Omawumi and Waje were in the studio, and he [Burna Boy] started saying that a time would come when he would be getting paid to enter jet. Omawumi and Waje started doubting him because then Nigerian artists hadn’t started flying private jets. He got angry and opened the studio door and asked them to leave.
Before I bought my Bentley, I first buy the key holder for Shiloh. I no even get money for the Bentley oh. I just go Shiloh. I’m a Winner.”
