Dangote Group Replies Phyna Over Her Sister’s Medical Treatment

The Dangote Group has written to BBNaija star, Phyna concerning her sister’s medical treatment.
The company promised to fly her sister abroad for further treatment.
However, it noted that it would begin the process once Phyna’s sister is certified fit to fly.
Phyna took to her Instagram page to share the update.
“We are happy your Family are also liaising with the Medical team handling Ruth. Please note that we are ready to positively consider all options necessary for treatment of Ruth as soon as she is certified fit to travel”, The message reads.
She also used the opportunity to thank all those who supported her struggle.
She wrote: “Thank you to everyone that lend their voice. We pray they keep to it. We will not forget to update you all my helpers” She stated.

Self-acclaimed financial expert, Geh Geh has made a revelation about hookup girls.
According to him, girls that sell their body for money depend on internet fraudsters aka yahoo boys for survival.
He made the claim while livestreaming on Tiktok.
In his words:
“Recently I went to where these call girls hang out, and I was interviewing one of them. She stated that patronage is low these days. Why won’t there be a decline in patronage? Yahoo boys don’t get deals like before again. If Yahoo Yahoo boys stop today, call girls will also stop.
 
Hookup girls are largely dependent on yahoo boys for survival; if yahoo ends, hookup culture will decline because they won’t be able to sustain themselves.”

Nigerian rapper and songwriter, Tochukwu Ojogwu aka Odumodublvck has expressed thanks to singer, Wizkid for gifting him $20,000 cash.

My Wife Mide Is Opposite of Her Movie Roles – Actor, Afeez Abiodun

Nollywood filmmaker and actor, Afeez Abiodun has spoken about his wife, actress Mide Martins.
According to him, she is completely different from the fiery characters she often portrays on screen.
Abiodun, who has been married to Mide for nearly two decades, noted that while audiences may see her act as a tough and confrontational woman in movies, she is in reality calm and non-violent.
“She’s the opposite of what people see on TV,” he said in a recent interview. “I have never had any reason to separate her from fighting anyone on set. She would rather get into her car and drive off than engage in any fight.”
He further compared her to their colleague, actress Wunmi Toriola, whom he described as closer in real life to the no-nonsense roles she plays in films.
“Wunmi’s character is a bit similar to her role in movies,” he said. “If you don’t look for her trouble she won’t fight you, but if you trespass, she will act exactly as you see in movies.”

Tiwa Savage Denies Trolling Wizkid

Afrobeats singer Tiwa Savage has addressed claims that she trolled her Grammy-winning colleague, Wizkid.
Some people on social media had for years speculated that Savage trolled Wizkid after they allegedly fell out years ago.
However, a Wizkid fan had assured Savage of the Starboy boss’ fans’ support for her, but another fan countered, claiming that she had trolled Wizkid in the past and that they should not support her.
This led a fan to ask XAI, Grok, if Savage had actually trolled Wizkid, and the bot replied that there was no evidence of her trolling the Starboy.
Exonerated, Tiwa Savage wrote, “Thank you o, have never done that. But they have just ran with this narrative and I have just kept quiet.”
 
Recall that Tiwa Savage and Wizkid sparked dating speculation after their undeniable chemistry in the music video of Fever in 2018.
However, the duo publicly stated that they had never been in a romantic relationship.

Ebuka Songs Apologises Over Controversial Livestream With Peller

Nigerian gospel singer Ebuka Hillary aka Ebuka Songs has tendered an apology to Christians.
This followed a viral livestream with TikTok creator Habeeb Hamzat, also known as Peller in July.
Recall that the livestream at Ebuka’s residence, featured worship, prayer, and a moment where Peller spoke in tongues.
Some section of Nigerian Christians criticized him over the livestream, saying it was inappropriate.
Reacting, Ebuka Songs posted a video on Instagram apologising for both the livestream and his earlier reaction.
He wrote: “I want to use this opportunity to address the recent development around the live streaming of the young man (Peller) who came to my house. You know, we had the moment together, and some of the things that happened that were not processed at the scene. So, if there is anybody who was offended by that action, I apologise. And then my reaction as well, I apologise.
 
“That was not my intention. That was never my intention to talk. I’ve never had to speak out, even when people say things about me. But it’s okay. It’s possible to react in the type of way that is not in the character of God, and I apologise. If anyone is taking offence at any of those actions, I sincerely apologise. We are all God’s workmanship, and we’re working into his perfection. So, every day we are working, you know, in God’s knowledge.”

I Was Bullied, Assaulted After Cook-a-Thon – Chef Dammy

Nigerian chef, Damilola Adeparusi aka Chef Dammy has revealed that she was a victim of cyberbullying.
According to her, this happened following her rise to fame during her 2023 cook-a-thon attempt.
Speaking in an interview on Thursday, Dammy revealed that she was not expecting the cookathon attempt to go viral.
She said, “My interest in cooking started when I began living alone as a student. Even the cookathon, I didn’t know it was going to be viral. I didn’t even tell my parents about it; they just saw me. I was shocked to see myself on social media.
 
“If you had asked me this question two years ago or a year ago, I might be crying. But now I’m happy I can talk about this without crying.
 
“There was a time in my life I was even telling God, ‘Can this wait a bit? Can I at least forget some things?’ I felt overwhelmed. The cyberbullying was just a little compared to what I experienced in real life. I was bullied, I was assaulted. I was broken. Social media broke me.”

Rapper Zlatan Ibile has advised upcoming artistes to be ready to hire professional psychologists to help manage their mental health once they achieve success.

The Zanku crooner gave the advice via his social media page on Thursday.

He urged up-and-coming artists and their sponsors to prioritise therapy expenses alongside marketing budgets.

On his X handle, Zlatan wrote, “If you get brother or sister wey be fast rising artist and you believe say he or she go blow as una dey keep money for marketing and promo make una dey keep therapist money for one side tooo cos lol!!!”

His message reckoned with sentiments that the music industry is “emotionally tasking.”

On the years, several Nigerian musicians have spoken up about falling into depression while navigating the music industry.

Recall that in 2022, singer, Omah Lay shared via his X handle that his depression worsened after he had a sexual affair with his therapist.

Bring Back Five-Minute Songs – Oxlade Tells Colleagues

Afrobeats singer Ikuforiji Olaitan aka Oxlade has urged his colleagues in the Nigerian music industry to increase the duration of their songs.
He made the statement in a post on his X page on Thursday.
Writing on his page and wrote: “Bring back 5 minutes songs.”
His post resonated with many, who lent their voices to his advocacy in the comments section.
Recall that in recent years there has been a growing trend of short songs, usually within the range of two minutes and a few seconds, in the mainstream Nigerian music industry.
In contrast, South African Amapiano songs are usually within the range of seven minutes and above.
The trend of short songs, which was started by Wizkid and Mr Eazi, skyrocketed after newcomers such as Rema, Joeboy, Omah Lay, Ayra Starr and others joined in after debuting on the music scene in quick succession between 2019 and 2021.
Oxlade was also part of the trend in the past. His 2022 hit song, ‘Kulosa’, has a duration of 2 minutes and 31 seconds.
