The Narrative That Men Are Not important Is Dangerous – Seyi Shay Warns

Popular Nigerian singer, Seyi Shay, has kicked against those claiming that men are not important.
According to her, such a narrative is dangerous.
The music star claimed that a lot of women who have a father figure in their lives growing up are more stable with better values than the ones that don’t.
She noted that the narrative that “men are not important” is only a decoy to create more broken homes.
Speaking in a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, she said, “Most women who have a father figure in thier lives are generally more stable. They had a lot more access to good education and good morals growing up than the ones that don’t.

“Also, there is a bar when they want to get married or when they chose male friends. All these narrative of men are not important is bullsh*t because that’s just an agenda for more divisions in our homes so that we can churn out more broken souls and more lost females and males.”
The 39-year-old singer said she is grateful she didn’t had a daughter in her 20s, stressing that she now has the experience and capacity to raise child better.
She explained that with her experience, she would be able to guide her daughter as not to make the same mistakes she made when it comes to men, friendship, and other endeavours.

Veteran Actress Lola Idije Opens Up About Single Parenting, Trust And Life

Veteran Yoruba actress, Lola Idije has opened up about being a single parent.
She spoke in a recent interview with fellow actress Ayo Adesanya.
Lola Idije explained in Yoruba that single parenting is not an easy road at all.
According to her, it comes with endless challenges, especially when raising children without a partner’s support.
She revealed that as a single parent, you carry heavy responsibilities alone — from school fees to daily upkeep — and most people are not willing to help. She stressed that even when relatives or friends promise to assist, many times it ends in disappointment.
Lola Idije didn’t stop there.
She said many men are generally not serious. According to her, some only come around because they’ve placed a bet with friends that they’ll “get the lady.”
She added that the way men look at actresses is sometimes very disrespectful, believing that with as little as ₦500,000 they can get any woman in the industry.
The actress also warned women to be careful with trust, saying, “Trust no one.”
She added that it is painful when people who can afford to support single parents prefer to “flex” instead of helping those in need.
Speaking further, Lola Idije noted that despite all these challenges, many women keep pushing for the sake of their children.

Why I’m Ignoring Lizzy Anjorin’s Death Wishes, Curses On My Grandson – Iyabo Ojo

Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has given an update concerning her issues with Lizzy Anjorin over the consistent insults, death wishes and curses on her family and grandson.

According to Iyabo Ojo, she’s deliberately ignoring Anjorin and her curses.

Speaking in a post via Instagram on Sunday, the actress admitted that she had often struggled to hold her peace and ignore the distraction because of God.
She wrote, “Honestly, I haven’t laughed this hard in a while. These videos cracked me up real good 😂🤣🤣😅🤣🤣😂 😂🤣😅😂

On a more serious note, I’ve seen all your messages, DMs, voice notes, and questions about my silent approach to the defamatory statements, insults, death wishes, and curses Liz Anjorin has been directing at my family, especially those targeting my grandson. Honestly, most times, I struggle to hold my peace… but I have to ignore the distractions. Who God has blessed, no one can curse 🙏.

For clarity, I want to assure you all that my legal team isn’t sleeping. They’re taking notes of everything. A wise one must always listen to the counsel of the learned team. Everything has its timing.

My people, over the past few months, it was strictly about focusing on family while my legal team takes note and prepares me for the battles ahead – welcoming my grandson, supporting my daughter through her motherhood journey, and standing in the gap, both physically and spiritually, required my undivided attention.

Note that once I land in Lagos, God willing, yes, it will be time to tackle challenges. Silence can be powerful, and while it’s not always easy for me, I know it’s sometimes necessary. I love you all and appreciate your genuine concerns ❤️. Keep being your wonderful selves, and I’ll keep you all updated when the time is right. God bless.”
