Excited Nigerian woman describes struggles she had while working toward becoming branch manager of Canada’s top bank.

Patience Adesuwa Ajao, a Nigerian living in Canada, describes her struggles to advance to the position of branch manager at one of Canada’s top banks.

Patience detailed the difficulties she encountered as a black woman from Nigeria living in a multicultural nation in a Facebook post.

She emphasized the necessity for immigrants to find for organizations that will recognize their potential while urging them to strive for the best.

Mrs. Patience Adesuwa Ajao wrote in a lengthy post:

“Upon relocating to Canada eight years ago, I was told to abandon all thoughts of building a career, and just, survive. A few months later, I accepted the Customer Service Representative role with one of Canada’s top five Banks,” she wrote.

Talks in my ears sounded like: you will not get promoted, you will be a teller for life, remember you are black, a woman and an immigrant from Nigeria, three strikes against you. Forging on, I moved through four roles: Financial Services Representative, Financial Advisor, Manager of Customer Experience, and Assistant Branch Manager.

In addition to having my 3rd child, pregnancy and maternity did not prevent my climb up the ladder. Needless to say, I have since distanced myself from those that never believed in me.

I am blessed to be a part of an organization that has provided a level playing field for everyone. In this month of November 2022, I accepted the promotion to the role of Branch Manager, thank you TD!!

Finally, Dear Immigrants: seek an organization that will accept your potential and believe in yourself that you can attain whatever height you aim for.”

Sowore dispels the myth that he is a CIA operative.

Omoyele Sowore, a media personality and presidential contender for the African Action Congress (AAC), has refuted allegations that she is a spy for the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

On Sunday, November 13, Sowore and three other candidates spoke at a town hall gathering where the allegation was debunked.

The presidential candidate was questioned by a member of the audience at the town hall meeting hosted by Arise TV in association with the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) about if he was a CIA operative.

In response, Sowore claimed that if he was a CIA spy, President Muhammadu Buhari would have “disappeared” as a result of his detention by DSS agents in Lagos on August 3, 2019.

He added that despite having resided in the US for more than 20 years, he has not yet accepted citizenship.

Sowore declared;

“I am not a CIA agent, if I was, Buhari would have disappeared from the surface of the earth when he detained me. You cannot do that with CIA agent. I am a Nigerian, I have not even accepted a US citizenship and I have lived there for 20 years.”

Jamie Carragher criticizes former Manchester United players who stood up for Ronaldo during a club dispute and Erik Ten Hag

In a shocking interview with Piers Morgan, Cristiano Ronaldo attacked Erik Ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United. Liverpool star Jamie Carragher has backed Ten Hag.

The Portuguese superstar had declared that he ‘doesn’t respect’ the current United manager Ten Hag after expressing his discontent and frustration at returning to the team.

Carragher, who has harshly criticized Ronaldo since since the five-time Ballon d’Or winner returned to United in the summer of 2021, responded to the interview by asserting that “99%” of Man United supporters will prefer Ten Hag over the winger.

He tweeted;

“Ronaldo “I don’t respect the manager”

“Ronaldo under ETH: Announced he wanted to leave, refused to come on as a substitute, walked off the bench and left before the game had finished.

“9% of United fans will be on the side of ETH, which shows how badly Ronaldo has handled this.”

Wizkid, Funke Akindele, Jandor, and Popcaan are all mentioned in predictions by Cynthia Morgan.

Cynthia Morgan, a dancehall musician, posted on her Instagram story several prophesies she said she received from God regarding Wizkid, Funke Akindele, Jandor, and Popcaan.

Cynthia Morgan advised Funke Akindele to pray against bankruptcy in the article with the heading “November Prophecies.”

She also advised Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, a.k.a. Jandor, a candidate for governor on the Peoples Democratic Party, to choose a side before the election or resign. She urged Wizkid to pray for his mental health.

Popcaan, a Jamaican singer, should pray to avoid unexpected death, according to Cynthia Morgan.

The dancehall singer claimed the message should reach the people she has been holding back since November 1 even if she doesn’t personally know any of the people at the core of her prophecy.

Is Wizkid’s horniest album “More Love, Less Ego”? Here Is What We Believe

“Something must kill a man,” a wise man once said. That thing is bumbum for Wizkid. Wizkid’s latest album, More Love, Less Ego, is heavy on the seduction and follows up on his acclaimed 2020 album, Made in Lagos. Other musicians would be influenced by the demands of winning a Grammy and the Song of the Summer award, but Wizkid appears firmly set in his “no stress” ethos.

Wizkid doesn’t aim to surpass himself on his latest album, but is that truly a good thing?

These are the initial impressions we had after hearing each song on More Love, Less Ego for the first time.

Money & Love

From Sweet One on 2017’s Sounds From the Other Side to Reckless on 2020’s Made in Lagos, Wizkid has a history of producing strong album openers. Money & Love, the first track on the new album, is a strong start from Big Wiz. Wizkid establishes the framework for his next album by singing about his sex game and cash account while mentioning all the Bujus he is familiar with.

Money & Love isn’t particularly innovative, but that doesn’t make it a poor song. It’s basically Wizkid taking a cruise, as he does throughout the entire album.

Balance

Balance has been played four times, and each time I dozed off. But sadly, I never managed to come up with anything that stuck. Balance might someday join my list of favorite Wizkid songs, but for now, nothing will do.

Bad to Me

When Wizkid released Bad to Me back in September [2022], I didn’t like it like I didn’t like most of his lead singles (remember Smile with H.E.R?). The singles from Wizkid have a tendency to grow on you when you least expect it.

Bad to Me is a wonderful party opener that will get everyone pumped up in the club and taps into the amapiano sound that Nigerians have refused to abandon. It’s not the best Wizkid lead single, but it’s also not the worst (Daddy Yo will take that spot).

Sugar (featuring Ayra Starr)

Get ready to be stunned by 2 Sugar, my darling, if you thought Wizkid and Ayra Starr would attempt to recreate the magic of Wizkid and Tems on Essence. Even though Wizkid performs the verses on 2 Sugar, Ayra Starr is the star of the show.

In contrast to Essence’s summer love segment, 2 Sugar emphasizes setting boundaries and avoiding letting negative energy disrupt your inner peace. This song, which features Ayra and Wizkid, will essentially make you want to unwind, sink into the positive energy, and tell the negative energy to stay far away.

Everyday

I never imagined combining the names of Wizkid and Maya Angelou, yet here we are. The great poet opens Everyday with a heartfelt monologue about love before Wizkid enters to sing about challenges that everyone, famous or not, can identify with.

From the songs to the background “Yebo” chants, every day is sheer pleasure. Among the songs on the record, this one is arguably the most reflective.

Slip N Slide (featuring Skillibeng and Shenseea)

Wizkid is at his horniest in Slip N Slide. Wizkid goes all out with all the fornication vibes you can think of, dropping lines like, “24 days we dey fuck with no brakes,” with the help of Jamaican performers Skillibeng and Shenseea. Exactly 24 days? What kind of agbo are you drinking, Ayodeji? I merely need a friend.

Slip N Slide would be a wonderful addition to my sex soundtrack. But I don’t have one since I don’t fornicate like the rest of you do.

Deep

I admire sincerity, and on Deep, Wizkid is open and honest about wanting your body rather than your affection. If Slip N Slide was caught for adultery, Deep was caught for the enticing dancing and whining that would eventually result in the pant coming off.

Flower Pads

Wizkid uses the lyrics of Flower Pad to declare to the world that he enjoys a little bit of cunnilingus, just like Harry Styles did on Watermelon Sugar. Wizkid once again demonstrates his ability to make baby-making music by encouraging his partner to “wrap their legs around his neck,” and I’m fully here for it.

PS: The Spanish at the song’s conclusion somehow makes it 1000 times more sexy.

Wow (featuring Skepta and Naira Marley)

One of my favorite musical collaborations right now features Skepta and Wizkid. These two have given us back-to-back smashes since Energy and Made in Lagos’ Longtime, and Wow is no exception. However, despite Wiz and Skepta’s and their collaboration on the Wow, the song’s beat and flow have a Rexxie-produced Naira Marley jam-like quality to them.

Having said that, I feel confident boarding a song featuring Wizkid, Naira Marley, and Skepta. Choo! Choo! Choo!

Pressure

One of my favorite songs on the album is Pressure, a jovial bop. The music thumps. The sound he makes just following the chorus slaps, “beep beep beep.” His singing-talking performance in the second verse is shocking. Damn, this song slaps in every direction, and I just have to give it tenss overall.

Plenty Loving

Wizkid once again incorporates amapiano on Plenty Loving. Actually, I think I like this song better than Bad to Me. Perhaps it’s because Plenty Loving is still new or because it contains a hint of the distinctive Wizkid sax that made Made in Lagos such a smash hit.

Special (featuring Don Toliver)

How should I put this? Special sounds Mid AF for a song with Don Toliver and produced by Juls. Perhaps Special will grow on me, but for now I’m skipping it because it’s not providing what it should.

Frames (Who’s Gonna Know)

The album’s 40+ minute duration is perfectly wrapped up by Frames (Who’s Gonna Know), in which Wizkid forgoes seduction techniques and the initial gragra in favor of an open discussion with his girlfriend. But all of that is hidden behind Wiz’s desire for his lover to give him more of them, something he could never lose. Don’t get me wrong, shaking bumbum is still a priority here.

Gosh, love sweet die.

Months after getting married to his first wife, Portable is planning to marry his pregnant lover.

Portable Omolalomi, a well-known street rapper, is getting married to a second woman since he is expecting a kid with his lover, who is significantly pregnant.

This happens months after the singer and his first wife, Bewaji Zainab, got married during the naming ceremony for their son in June.

A source reported that Portable had been seeing the woman for almost 8 months before taking her to his parents’ house.

According to a source, it reportedly caused conflict with his first wife, Bewaji, who at first refused to welcome her into their home.

“The girl’s name is “Keji,” and they had been dating for roughly eight months. They first connected in Agege, Lagos, between January and February during a man’s party known as “Ogo Hookup.” In fact, he wants to wed her.

The woman is the fourth girl he has ever dated. Asabi, another female partner of his, is also expecting.

The source explained that Bewaji became upset because Portable was already well-known when she was with him.

When nothing continued to work for me, I began to battle God. – Ara

Aralola Olumuyiwa, often known as Ara, is the most prominent female talking drummer in Nigeria. She has remembered how her life quickly spiraled downward after gaining notoriety.

The drummer claims that this occurred years after a family friend told him about a dream he had about her. In an interview with The Nation, she stated:

“In 1999, a photographer to a family friend who was very close to us came running to my place one afternoon. Then I was still in my parent’s house at Ajao estate, he lived in Mafoluku. I was sleeping. My mother told them to wake me and that photo wants to see me. That he is from Bayelsa. I went. He said, Lola, I dey dream o. I dream and I see you this afternoon. God bring your picture come do am like this for my face, say go and look for my daughter, tell her to serve me, to seek me everything she wants, I will give her. If she does not serve me, if she does not seek me, she will see paper and call it money on the floor. And it happened to me. I thought it was a joke.”

Ara admitted that when nothing continued to go her way, she began to battle God. She also talked about spending over a year in a single motel room.

But the drummer went on to say that after she cried out to God and asked him what he wanted her to do, things started to get better.

Ara furthered:

“All of a sudden everything stopped working. People that would call for shows all of a sudden, everything stopped. Shows that I get paid N3m is what people would be pricing for N100,000. To cut the long story short, I became homeless, I couldn’t afford to feed, couldn’t pay my child’s school fees, I sold all of my cars, sold my hummer jeep, Hilux, things started going bad. It got to a stage where I said this must be the hand of God. Something is wrong. I went for prayers and I was told that nobody is fighting me, that this is God. Listen to him. He wants to use you for something but you are not listening to him. I said okay but you know we are stubborn. I started fighting God, I suffered the more. For almost one year, I lived in one room in a hotel. This is in 2019. But you see the day I cried like the prodigal son, I said, God this is me, whatever you want to do with me, you made me, you moulded me, please, forgive me, I have come back to you. What do you want me to do?

“When things started happening to me, when I went through that process of from hero to zero, I remembered that dream. Meanwhile, I have dumped this project. I went back to God to say that the people that would help me is You. It is not how talented, connected or how popular I am now, it is You. If this is your hand God, bring the people. The day the governor called me, I nearly entered the gutter. I said this is God. Let me share something. The day I received the endorsement letter on December 22, I took that letter and I was going home to share with my younger brother. I got home, opened the envelope, there was no letter there. It disappeared.

“Till today, I don’t know where it disappeared to. I didn’t go anywhere. I called the ministry to ask if I left it, they said I didn’t because I folded it and kept it. We thoroughly searched for it. Meanwhile, I told the DG that it has taken almost 10 years to get the letter from Lagos state. He asked what happened, I told him it was spiritual that he cannot understand. When I didn’t find that letter I called him back and said sir, I can’t find that letter. He said that is the only original copy they did that they only have photocopies. I told him not to worry that I would work with it, that he should please give it to me. But before 11pm, he called me back. I had said to God if it is you, you would do something again. Before 11pm, they called me again to say they were able to get the honourable commissioner to sign another original. I got it back. Today the honourable commissioner is here. I did not meet him one on one until a few weeks ago in his office.’
