Bukola Ikuomola, the Nollywood actress, has opened up on why she ventured into the s*x toy business.
She explained that her decision to venture into selling s*x toys was motivated by a desire to meet human needs, much like any other business.
“Like any legitimate business, my decision to enter the s*x toy industry was driven by a desire to provide solutions to human needs. An entrepreneur’s role is to identify and address these needs.
“As society becomes more liberal and open-minded, I see great potential in this industry. So far, the experience has been positive, and I’m seeing growing interest in our products”, she told Potpourri
Balancing her acting career with this unconventional business has not posed a problem for Ikuomola, who credits her peers in the entertainment industry for being supportive.
“My acting career does not interfere with my business endeavors. I’m fortunate that my colleagues in the entertainment industry are mature and forward-thinking. I don’t see anything unconventional about the s*x toy business, except perhaps in the eyes of those who are immature or stuck in the past.”
Despite the positive reception from most customers, the actress admitted she has faced occasional challenges due to societal perceptions.
“I’ve occasionally encountered individuals with a limited understanding of the business who have tried to overstep boundaries. However, the majority of my customers have been respectful and discreet. Those who choose to buy our products are decent people who value their privacy.”
When asked what advice she would give to women considering similar ventures in Nigeria, Ikuomola offered encouragement, challenging the notion that Nigeria is strictly conservative.
“I don’t quite agree with the characterization of Nigeria as a ‘conservative society.’ We are a diverse and free-spirited people. My advice to others considering such ventures is to go for it. However, they should be prepared to deal with immature individuals who may not fully understand or appreciate their work.”
Nancy Isime, the popular Nigerian actress and media personality, has shared her vision for early retirement and her journey of hard work during a recent episode of the CreativiTEA podcast.
Isime disclosed that she has been working since she was 17, with a clear goal of achieving financial security before an early retirement.
“I have been working since I was 17, early retirement is the plan.So I’m doing all my work now so by the time I am retiring at an age people feel is too early, my portfolio and achievements will speak for themselves.”
The role interpreter also emphasized on the importance of enjoying the journey rather than focusing solely on the end result, saying, “We tend to want to see the end results before we do anything. We don’t enjoy the process. I’m very intentional about enjoying the process and the journey, understanding that you can never truly arrive.”
A believer in the power of small steps and struggles, she expressed that overcoming challenges is a key part of her success story.
“People feel like struggles are something to be ashamed of; for me, it’s not. If you go through my Instagram page, you can scroll all the way down. I don’t delete anything because it’s like a memory book for me,” she explained.
Reflecting on the importance of building a strong foundation, Nancy compared her journey to a biblical principle: “There’s a part of the Bible that says when your foundation is built on Christ, it’s like building on solid rock, and when the rain comes, it stands solid. That’s what I’ve done, building my way through life.”

Samklef, the popular Nigerian music producer, has slammed Davido for mocking his logistics manager, Israel DMW’s estranged wife, Sheila Courage.
Recall that Israel got married to Sheila on October 20, 2022, and the couple parted ways in less than a year after their grand wedding over alleged domestic violence and infidelity.
However, in a viral video on social media on Friday, Davido weighed in on Israel’s marital issues. While boarding his newly acquired private jet with Israel, the musician was heard saying that Sheila ‘is regretting now’.
Reacting to the video clip in a series of posts on his official X handle, Samklef stated that Davido lacks empathy and morals.
He noted that Wizkid and Burna Boy would never call someone’s ex-wife a bitch.
“Dear Davido, you have shown a lack of morals by calling Israel’s ex-wife a “bitch.” How would you feel if someone called your wife, Chioma, the same?
“Wasn’t Israel already flying in private jets before your marriage? Why do you lower yourself like this? You seem to lack empathy and morals, but of course, your hypocritical fans won’t see problem in your childish remark. Happiness does not come from flying in a private jet. You need mentorship and counseling.
“Somebody needs to tell Davido the truth. He needs to grow up. Private jet material thing. Zero mentorship.”
