Alleged N15m Bribe: More Drama Looms As Bobrisky Sues VeryDarkMan, Demands N1 Billion

Idris Okuneye, the popular Nigerian cross-dresser, who is also known as Bobrisky, has filed a lawsuit against internet activist and critic, VeryDarkMan, VDM, over an audio posted by the latter on his social media handle.

The post captured an alleged voice record of the crossdresser telling a third party how he allegedly bribed officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, with N15 million to drop the money laundering charge levelled against him earlier this year.

The voice record also indicted some officials of the Nigerian Correctional Service, NCS, who allegedly permitted Bobrisky to spend his six-month jail term outside the prison.

Bobrisky has, however, disowned the audio, stating that the voice recording purportedly implicating him in any wrongdoing were Artificial Intelligence (AI) generated.

In a letter he shared on his Facebook page on Sunday, Bobrisky’s legal team demanded that VeryDarkMan delete the audio clip immediately, issue a public apology in two national newspapers, and record a video apology to be shared across all social media platforms.

The suit also demands that VeryDarkMan cease publishing defamatory content about Bobrisky and pay N1 billion in damages within 24 hours.

Part of the letter reads, “We demand, on behalf of our client, a written apology published in two national daily newspapers, a video recording of your apology to our client shared on all your social media platforms, a commitment to refrain from reporting or publishing defamatory content against our client, and the payment of N1,000,000,000 in damages within 24 hours of this letter via social media or any other means.”

EFCC vs Bobrisky: VeryDarkMan To Appear Before Reps On Monday Over N15m Bribe

Martins Vincent Otse, the popular Nigerian social media influencer, who is also known as VeryDarkMan will appear before the House of Representatives on Monday over the bribery allegations made against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

VeryDarkMan had released an audio of crossdresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky claiming to have bribed EFCC officials with N15 million to drop the money laundering case against him.

In the alleged video, Borisky also claimed he never spent his six-month jail term in Kirikiri prison in Lagos because his godfather made arrangements for him in a lodge.

Aggrieved by the allegation, the House of Representatives had invited VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky and EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede as part of its probe into the matter.

However, VeryDarkMan’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, said his client would honour the invitation as part of efforts to assist with the investigation.

Chatting with Daily Post on Sunday, Adeyanju said: “We will be at the National Assembly tomorrow with our client @thatverydarkman to assist in investigations into allegations by Bobrisky that he/she paid N15m to have money laundering charges dropped by EFCC and also bribed prison officials to stay in an apartment.”

BBNaija: Mercy Eke Apologises After Her Handler Called Onyeka ‘Gold Digger’

Reality star Mercy Eke has issued an apology after her social media manager referred to Big Brother Naija “No Loose Guard” housemate Onyeka as a “gold digger.”

The handler in a now-deleted tweet, accused Onyeka of being with Ozee Mbadiwe because of his wealthy background.

“Onyeka the Mbadiwe gold digger sorry to burst your bubbles there’s no gold in the twins… #BBnaija,” Mercy Eke’s verified X handle posted.

The post sparked outrage from fans, who took to their pages to condemn Eke’s action.

Following the backlash, Eke issued an apology, explaining that the tweet wasn’t posted by her but by her handler.

She said she has left anything that concerns Big Brother Naija behind and couldn’t have involved herself in this season’s drama.

She wrote, “Can’t believe I’m waking up to this on my birthday. A handler that was supposed to post my birthday contents and reply to birthday wishes was involving herself in a BBN drama and now I have to deal with this mess???

“I have left everything BBN behind for Christ’s sake! And seeing such silly opinions, especially about one of the housemates I like! The only reason I’m not tagging this person’s main page is to not get her bullied by fans, because this is highly unprofessional.

“I apologize to Team Onyeka because this is so embarrassing coming from my account, it definitely does not represent me or how I feel.”

I Don’t Take VeryDarkMan’s Supporters Seriously – BBNaija Star, Vee Says

Victoria Iye, the Big Brother Naija reality star, who is popularly known as Vee, has said she can’t take supporters of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and controversial self-styled activist VeryDarkMan, aka VDM, seriously.

According to her, their supporters need mental evaluation.

Vee spoke in a video message shared via her TikTok page recently.

She said: “Personally, I’m judging anybody that supports that current Nigerian government. I’m also judging supporters of VDM.

“It’s high time we start holding certain people responsible. If you say something stupid or defend the wrong thing, I’m cutting you off.

“I don’t believe in freedom fighters. I don’t believe in an individual coming out to say they want to fight for the rights of Nigerians. It doesn’t make sense to me. I think it should be a joint effort. I think everybody should be involved. And I definitely don’t think it should be VDM doing it.

“I don’t have much to say about the Falz versus VDM issue, by the way. They say he [Falz] is going to court. Lovely. Aside from Falz, Bobrisky and VDM’s case, I feel like anybody defending VDM is not somebody I want to have a conversation with.

“This country makes no sense. People are suffering. People are hungry. Anybody defending this government needs mental evaluation. Anybody defending VDM… We don’t even know what his [VDM’s] achievements are. What’s he trying to achieve? I personally do not know and I will not defend him. When I come across a VDM video, I skip it. When they are talking about the guy, I will continue to skip.”

Recall that Human rights lawyer Femi Falana and rapper Falz gave VeryDarkMan a 24-hour ultimatum to retract his publication against them, alleging that they played roles in getting a soft landing for controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky, during his jail sentence.

However, VDM released a video denying defaming Chief Falana and rapper Falz.

Following his refusal to retract his publication, Femi Falana’s daughter, Entertainment lawyer and sister to Falz, Folakemi Falana, threatened legal action against VDM.

I Wrote Hit Songs For Wizkid – Skales Claims

Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, a popular Nigerian singer, who is better known as Skales, has claimed that he wrote a lot of hit songs for his colleague, Wizkid, during their days at Empire Mates Entertainment, EME.

Appearing on ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’ hosted by content creator, Bae U Barbie, Skales revealed he has co-wrote some of the songs in Wizkid’s debut album, ‘Super Star,’ including the bonus track ‘Wiz Party.’

He, however, admitted that Wizkid also wrote songs for him, including the hit ‘Mukulu.’

He said, “Back in EME, we were a team so we used to write songs for each other. I wrote songs for Wizkid. He also wrote songs for me, too.

“He wrote ‘Mukulu’ for me and I wrote his song ‘Wiz Party.’ As I said, EME was a collective, so we did teamwork.”

Wizkid and Skales were among the first artists signed to EME by R&B star and music executive, Banky W, in the early 2010s.

The record label brought the singers to the spotlight.

They both later left the label after a series of disagreements with Banky W.

In an interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu a few years ago, Banky W revealed that Wizkid was owed EME three albums based on his initial contract with the label.
